Scripture reading: Genesis 1:26-31

Many times I ask God, why He made us spirit, soul, and body. If we were just a spirit, then we would be all right, we would be perfect. If we were just a soul, then we would be like animals, we would have no use but to eat, drink, be merry, and die. If we were all body, it would be the same. God, however, said that He made us after His image, and He is making us in His likeness. That means, we were made and we are being made. We are not yet completed.

The one marvelous and wonderful thing about God that we can rejoice in is that God sees the beginning and the end together. He actually creates the end before He creates the beginning. That is, the result that He wants here, He creates a beginning to match the end. So, looking at your whole life, God has the beginning and the end right before Him, and He is looking at it! God knows where all of us are going to end up, and yet, because He is God, He still ministers to us; and He gives us the opportunity to change our course and change our lives, change our ending, although He knows what we are going to do. That is crazy (but wonderful), isn’t it?

Therefore, we are dealing with a God Who knows us in a way that we do not know ourselves, and He said that one day we will know as we are known (1 Corinthians 13:12). That is, we will know ourselves as He knows us.

He says that we are coming to a place spoken of in the book of Revelation as the “sea of glass.” Have you ever wondered what the sea of glass is in the tabernacle, or the temple? We are coming to the sea of glass wherein there will be nothing hid. Where, if you are at the bottom, you can look right through to the top! We will be able to see all through each other!

I think of Jesus, and as I think of Him, my heart goes out to Him as a man. He must have really suffered! Do you know that? Imagine, He is talking to a person and He sees what is in the person’s mind. He can see that the man is talking to Him one thing with his mouth, but his mind is saying another thing! Jesus had to bear it. Praise God. You talk about bearing our infirmities!

We go to pray, “Oh God! Help us please, Lord God…” and then we go to sleep, or other things begin to come across our mind. He sees all kinds of trash coming across the mind. He is preaching the Word to people, and while He is preaching the Word, they are saying, “Yes, yes! Amen!” Yet, their minds are saying, “I forgot the pot on the fire at home.”

God showed me that the men He has called are prone to distractions and to being turned off track because of the various cross influences that are like waves of the sea washing over them night and day. Can you see the fragility? Can you see how fragile we are in the presence of a God who knows all things? Then I went and said, “Thank you, God! Thank you that You did not tell me what tomorrow will be. Thank you that I am foolish and do not know what next year is going to bring, because I would start suffering from this year for the suffering of next year! I would start suffering today for the suffering of tomorrow! But, today I am glad because I am ignorant.”

God is glad, not because of tomorrow, but because of the end. When God made Adam, He said, “It is good!” (Genesis 1:31). He looked at him and His heart rejoiced, “This Adam is good!” He made him good. He knew that the man was going to fall the next day, but He did not tell Adam. He was just being good with him, and Adam was rejoicing and being good. Do you know why God rejoiced at the goodness of Adam? He rejoiced because He saw the Adam at the beginning and He saw the Adam at the end, and there was an improvement. So He said, “It is good!” He did not care too much about what happened in between, for the Adam that God made is good.

Thought for today: Let us remember that God continues to ministers to us and give us the opportunity to change our course and change our lives, change our ending. Let us make use of this opportunity and reach the end that He has in mind for us.

Scripture reading: Revelation 4

Here we are in Revelation 4 with the four beasts and WE ARE BEING CHANGED. We are being metamorphosed. A gradual change is taking place in us. God wants us to give way to this change – GIVE WAY. The caterpillar craves food and it eats green leaves and everything. It eats and eats and eats until it goes into a chrysalis or a long sleep, then awakes as a beautiful butterfly. We must feed upon the Word of God until the time of final change comes. The change begins right now, gradually. Sometimes you cannot even see it. You look like an old caterpillar outside, but a beautiful butterfly is being formed within the soul, THE THRONE OF GOD.

The twenty-four elders sitting around the throne represent the priesthood. We are becoming priests IN OUR SOULS. The four beasts, the four natures of the soul, are being changed. Hallelujah! The PERFECTED IMAGE is shown in the white robes and the crowns worn show kingship. For God has promised us kingship. The lightnings and thunderings that proceed “out of the throne” room are the massive power of God’s energy and life which will come forth to change the world in which we live, bringing us into total union and oneness with God.

“The seven lamps” that burn are “the seven Spirits of God.” The Spirit of the churches will be in us and it will be all perfected in us. One church will NOT be in charity and another one in evangelism and another one in praise. We will ALL be in charity, in evangelism, in praise, and in love, and ALL THE ATTRIBUTES of God will come forth in the soul nature of man.

The “sea of glass” means there will be a clearness, a purity that you can see right through. There will be nothing to hide. No one will have secrets. It will be just one pure nation of people, one holy nation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar people. There will be clarity. This heaven is the heaven WITHIN US, the place from which Christ is going to reign and rule in the earth.

In Revelation, “the four beasts” are “full of eyes.” When you look in Ezekiel 1, there are wheels outside. The wheels represent the Holy Ghost. In Revelation 4, instead of wheels, gyrating wheels moving with the spirit, the eyes came into the beasts themselves. The wheels had incorporated themselves into the beasts. The Holy Ghost had now incorporated the soul of man. Remember, the Holy Ghost is in the man’s spirit at this present time. HE IS WORKING IN THE SOUL. He is preparing a place in the soul FOR THE CHRIST. When the fullness of Christ comes, then we will have Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

When the beasts give glory to God, the elders fall on their faces. At this point man does not want any more glory. HE GIVES IT ALL TO GOD. “THOU art worthy…for THOU…hast redeemed us.” GLORY TO GOD!

(Excerpt from The Book of Revelation, Volume 1, pg. 84-85)

Thought for today:  Give way to God changing you. Let His metamorphose begin in you today.

Scripture reading: Revelation 15:2

Revelation 15:2, “And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the VICTORY over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

As we can see in Revelation 15:2, those who had gotten the victory over the four areas of satanic influence were seen standing on the “sea of glass having the harps of God.” This means that by their victory over the most powerful weapons of Satan, they had earned for themselves a place in that realm of transparency where nothing is hid, a city of pure golden glass.

Let us look at the first of the four areas of overcoming mentioned above – victory over the beast:

God made man spirit, soul, and body. The spirit in man was devised of God to lead man back to God. The spirit of man therefore is the connecting link between God and man, and the main difference between man and beast. When man began to depart from God the divine order was broken, and in some cases man became body, soul, and spirit. This happens when man is basically led by his feelings and the natural world around him. Instead of the body and the soul being the servant of the spirit, the spirit is entirely excluded and an evil spirit takes the place so that the man does not reason or think human any more, but diabolical. Of this order of persons are some of the scientists of our time and men who worship the intellect and other things rather than God.

I was once invited to a school to speak to the science class where there presided a teacher who invited ministers to his class to prove how stupid they were to believe God. Upon his first sortie he was knocked cold by the scientific evidence of the existence of God. Science wants proof, and since the Ford car by which we traveled to the school was conclusive proof of a Ford factory somewhere, then his very presence there was conclusive and scientific proof of a higher Being Who made such magnificent symmetry.

The soul of FALLEN MAN with its Mind (intellect), Emotion, Will, and Desire is a beast – or, to be exact, four beasts in one. He who is led by his mind is led by a beastlike fallen nature and cannot please God.

In national and world affairs you will notice the flawed reason of those who do not believe in God. In reasoning with them one gets the feeling of speaking to a demon that has no specific basis of right and wrong.

One who has the victory over the beast therefore, is (a) One who first conquers the beast nature within himself, (b) One who does not submit to the beast nature of the world, and (c) One who does not submit to the beast nature of Satan, the adversary and tempter. One who has the victory over that beast nature cannot divorce his wife and marry another because she disagrees with him, and because others are doing it and it is legal. Many of the preachers are setting this example, but regardless of how many miracles they are having and regardless of their financial success, and regardless of how many millions of people are following them, they are not overcomers of the nature of the beast.

This beast nature will be personified one day in a mighty world leader and all those who have not overcome the beast will submit to him and to Satan.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, May 1986)

Thought for today: The overcomers, by their victory over the most powerful weapons of Satan, had earned for themselves a place in the realm of transparency where nothing is hid.
