“If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”  (I Corinthians 3:17)

When Abraham reasoned with God, he asked him, “Lord, if there are ten righteous people, wouldn’t you save Sodom and Gomorrah and the city of the plains?”  God replied, “If there are ten, I will save them.”  However, there were not even ten righteous men in those wicked cities.  So it is today, the message is the same: “They are not going to be saved.”  Very shortly the fire will judge them just like those in Sodom and Gomorrah were judged.  Whenever there is homosexuality, God uses fire to destroy the wickedness.

Let me tell you something about homosexuality.  It is not an ordinary sin.  God says that those who participate in it are committing an abomination and have no spiritual life in them.  In other words, they cannot go to heaven as homosexuals.  Somebody is going to say, “But then, nobody could go to heaven because everybody sinned.”  Homosexuality is different; it is an abomination in the body; it is inside the body and it changes the body.  When that spirit comes into a man, the man becomes effeminate.  I have seen men began to grow breasts.  I have seen their hips grow out.  I have heard their voices change.  It is a horrible thing to see a demon take hold of a man and change his voice!  Remember God said, “Your bodies are the temple of the living God.”  That is, God wants to dwell and live in every human being.  But if one defiles the body so that God cannot live in it, then he is defiling the temple of the living God and the Word of God says that God will destroy him. 

I want you to understand what I am saying.  I am only saying this, because I know that those who participate in homosexuality can be saved.  They can be changed.  Jesus Christ is able to change anyone.  The lie they are telling each other and the lie they have sold to the scientists as well as to the general public says that God made them homosexuals and they cannot be any different.  And so, we have to give them a certain amount of latitude.  It is a lie!  God never made a devil and God never made a homosexual.

I have had several experiences with homosexuals in my life.  Let me tell you a couple of them.

There was a man I was very close to.  He began to change.  When I saw the change come over him, I told him, “Well, maybe you should try to get a girlfriend and see if you can save yourself from this awful thing.  He agreed and talked to one young lady.  As he was a fine-looking man, she was interested in him.  Then one day, he held her hand.  Later on, he came back to me and said, “Man, it was horrible!  I felt like I was holding on to a snake!  It sent cold chills through my whole body!”  Just holding her hand!  His whole metabolism seemed to have changed.  The spirit took over his body.  It is the same as when Christ comes into the temple: He changes the temple, He changes your desires, He changes your way of thinking.  When the devil comes in and takes ahold of the temple, he also takes ahold of your mind and your emotions.  This man’s emotions were so twisted that when he held the lady’s hand, he felt like he held a snake. 

Finally, the devil intervened.  I was encouraging him, pressing him on saying, “Go and hold her hand again and you will overcome this thing!”  He was trying his best so he decided to write her a letter.  He wrote her to tell her how much he loved her, how much he would love to have her as his wife and so on.  But, he also wrote to his sister in order to tell her that she didn’t have to worry about him for he didn’t care about that girl at all.  Then, he took the letter for his sister and put it in the girl’s envelope, took the letter for the girl and put it into his sister’s envelope, and mailed them.  The whole thing was broken and we couldn’t hold him anymore.  He went off and became a full-fledged homosexual.

There is another story I want to share with you.  One time I spotted a young man in a group who, for some reason, could not praise the Lord.  People were rising up, praising God and clapping their hands, but he couldn’t do that.  Do you know that it is sin that will cause you not to be able to praise God?  Do you know that when you rise up and praise the Lord even when you don’t feel like doing it, you are overcoming sin in your life?  I said to this young man, “Something is wrong with you.”  At first, he wouldn’t tell me, but eventually he confessed that he was in trouble.  He was a slave to another man, an older man.  Sometimes he thought of murder, sometimes he thought of suicide.  He found himself a slave. 

He wanted to know if there was anything in God that could set him free.  The answer was “Yes!”  Jesus can set anybody free!  No matter how black or dark your sin is, God can set you free!  Somebody says, “Oh, but I have been in it too long.”  This young man was twenty-two years of age when I talked to him and he was a homosexual slave for twelve years.  So you can imagine from when he was ten years of age, he was captured by this man and held in prison.  “Yes, you can be delivered,” I said to him.  “But you have to do what I tell you to do.”  He was willing to do anything.  I did not hesitate, “The first thing you have to do is tell your parents.”  He was horrified, “Oh, no, I will never be able to do that.”  “Then, I can’t help you,” was my response.  “All right,” he said, “I will tell them, but I won’t mention who the person is, because he is somebody they know; he is a family friend.” 

He went and told his parents.  They were totally devastated.  You know, parents want their children to be great people; they have great plans for them.  When all of a sudden they find out that their beloved son is taken as a slave by another man, they are devastated.  Well, these parents said to my wife and me, “We cannot handle this.  You will have to take him.”  The young man came to live with us.  You know, if you try to help a person, you will have to make up your mind to be a part of their trouble, a part of their suffering.  I don’t want to get into details of our part in it, I will just tell you that it was not an easy situation.  After being with us for a while, one day we sat at the table eating breakfast, when he suddenly said, “I don’t think you can help me.  I have discovered that you have no way of helping me.”  It was a good observation.  I replied, “I can’t help you but…”  “But what?” he asked quickly.  I responded, “If the Bible says that this kind cometh not out but by prayer and fasting, then you will have to pray and fast.”  There are certain sins in our flesh that we cannot get rid of except the fires of God burn them out.  And for that, we have to fast and pray. 

He had never fasted in his life, but I laid it plain before him, “Well, it’s your life.  You will either live or die.”  He knew it was true.  The next morning we got to the table.  “What’s wrong?  Are you not eating?” I asked him.  He said, “No, I am fasting.”  Believe me, brethren, for nineteen days he sat at the table, watched us eat, and never tasted a morsel.  When he began to get weak, he would ask for some water.  We instructed him how to drink water and also how to take orange juice, so for the last week of the fast he was drinking.  Then one morning, it was the nineteenth day, as we sat at the table, he made an exclamation, “I am seeing something here.”  “What is it?” I asked him.  God showed him his wife.  He showed him a young lady from a congregation who he should marry.  She just came in a vision and stood right before him.  While we were talking about it, the phone rang and he was shocked even more, because the girl was on the phone for him.  I encouraged him to ask her why she called.  When he did, she said, “I just called to say hello.”  And believe you me, God began to deal with him from then until he was brought to a place of total deliverance and got married.

You see, the homosexual spirit is an anti-marriage spirit.  Some people don’t want to marry because the spirit of homosexuality is upon them.  You will be shocked to know that this spirit ministers to everybody.  It has even come to a point that two men or two women are being married in the churches.  Abomination!  The governments also are giving tax rebate to homosexual couples.  In addition to that, there are laws on the basis of which I can be arrested for discrimination for what I am saying about homosexuality.  But I have to say it anyway, as the law of God is clear.  And there surely is deliverance for those who want it!
