Those of us who say we have the Holy Ghost, we are filled with the Holy Ghost, we are baptized in the Holy Ghost – we had better make sure that it is God and the true Holy Ghost that we have. For the Holy Ghost will lead us into all truth. He will lead us to repentance. If we are wrong, the Holy Ghost will correct us. On the other hand, if a person has a spirit and the spirit is not leading him to become more like Christ, to have the nature of Christ, he had better stop and look at it carefully. Because, there are many false spirits going around today and taking people. There are false methods that people use to get others to be baptized in the Holy Ghost.
I will never forget how I saw this particular man minister. He was a great evangelist. He was getting many hundreds of people baptized in the Holy Spirit. But, there was my brother kneeling down, not being able to get the thing he was supposed to get. The man came over him, hit him on his shoulder and said, “Come on, man! Say, ‘Sha-ba-lah!’” My brother said, “Sha-ba-lah!” This man kept encouraging him, “Say it faster!” My brother said, “Sha-ba-lah-ba-lah-ba-lah.” The man was happy. “You got it!” he declared.
We are talking about false teaching. We are talking about doctrines of devils. No matter how humorous it might look, it is one of the doctrines of devils. Anyone who is sealed by the Holy Spirit is sealed in his mind and no devil can take ahold of him, or twist him and give him a false doctrine. Anyone, who is of a pure heart and wants God, God will not allow the devil to take him. This is the promise of the Living God!
