Spiritual Law
“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” (Romans 6:16)
Some spirits have rights to do certain things to certain people. You may find out that something happens to you in life and then it starts happening all over again and again. It means that you have your back door open and the devil is able to attack you. Certain darkness has certain spirits that rule over it. Suppose you are a thief. It means that you have a thief spirit, for there are certain spirits that rule over thieves. Or, suppose you lie. There are certain spirits that rule over lying. If you fornicate, you know that there are spirits that rule over fornication. And these spirits take you captive. Why? Let me show you the authority they have. The answer is found in Romans 6:16 where a spiritual law is presented to us. “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”
One day I was standing at the window of my house looking out at the rain coming down. I was just praising God for the rain. Suddenly, I saw a girl coming down the street, water dripping all over her. By the way she walked I knew she was crazy. We don’t know why people are crazy, but some of them are because spirits come into them, disrupt their thought process and make them crazy. When I saw this girl, compassion went out through me. I said to God, “Oh, God, poor child! Could You not help her? If You want to help her, bring her to this room.” She must have jumped my fence, because all of a sudden the door burst wide open and she was standing before me. A mad woman in the middle of my room! But I had asked for it, didn’t I?
A spiritual law is that if you command somebody to do something and they do it, you have power over them right away. It means that God has given you the power to deliver them. Isn’t that simple? “Whatsoever spirit you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are.” I said to her, “You have come to be delivered.” She just nodded her head. I spoke again, “Kneel!” She dropped to her knees. At that moment I knew she was delivered. The rest of it was just a small thing. I laid hands on her and said, “Be delivered from this evil spirit.” Immediately, she was delivered. The woman clothed in her right mind, thanking me, and going home.
You must understand this principle and you must believe it, or else it does not work. If you do not have it in your heart, it does not work. If you have it only in your brain like a professor and are using it as a psychological process, it will not work. You have to have it in your heart. You have to have the assurance that this is what God gave you. Thank you, Jesus.
