“Mami Wata”

It is difficult for me to talk to you about devils, because sometimes people believe that we talk about them too much. But let me tell you, there are more devils in the world than people. And all of them want to bring forth their nature into people. Devil has no life in himself at all, unless he is able to get somebody’s body to function through. He is a disembodied spirit. It means that he has no body! He cannot manifest anything, unless he manifests it through you! Therefore, all you see happening in the world is devil action.

The devils get into people and make them do things. When you look at the Al Quaida and the way these human beings are behaving, you know it is not really human. For example, some of these men took over the hospital and for weeks and weeks there were attempts to fight them and stop them. However, they were shooting at everybody outside. Eventually, the army decided to break in to the hospital. When they did, some of the Al Quaida men jumped out the window and killed themselves; some of them put the gun to their heads and blew themselves away rather than be captured. And all of it because of their doctrine. They are told that if they die in a battle, they will go to heaven. I cannot understand a human being believing a thing like that. But it is not a human being that is believing, it is a devil in the human being. If you cross a certain point, you become a devil as we can see the example in Judas the Iscariot.

Demons are human beings who have lost their bodies and they continuously want to reincarnate. I don’t know if you understand what I mean. They want somebody’s body to function through for they cannot function without a body. The Bible says that they walk through dry places seeking rest and finding none (Luke 11:24). This is what we are fighting against. But you have ample weaponry, too. Let me tell you something. God has given you the Blood of Jesus Christ as a weapon. Do you know how the Blood of Jesus Christ works as a weapon? It is not by saying, “The blood, the blood, the blood.” In some denominational churches we hear people say, “Let us plead the blood.” And they say, “The blood, the blood, the blood, the blood, the blood.” A demon disturbs somebody and they say, “The blood, the blood, the blood, the blood, the blood.” They are frightened and, therefore, they are calling out for the Blood. However, this in not the way it works. You have to believe in the Blood of Jesus Christ as having sanctified your soul. That is the hardest job – the Blood of Jesus Christ has to first sanctify your soul. Then, you keep your mind stayed on the Blood. Sometimes you must just quietly sit down and think about the Blood and how it was shed; think about the whipping that Jesus got on His back; think about the Blood that came from His head when they put on the crown of thorns and the thorns came through the side of His head like through a pin cushion and where they came out, there was blood trickling down His face. Think about the Blood that came from His hand, ran down His armpit, and twine all the way down His body. Think about the Blood that came out of His feet when the nail went through and ran down the cross. Think about the Blood of Jesus Christ when the soldier plunged the weapon into His side. You know the soldiers are taught to kill. They know exactly where to plunge a weapon to kill you. This soldier plunged it between the ribs. You remember the Bible said that not a bone of His body could be broken. So he put the sword on the flat, plunged it through the ribs, and pushed right up to strike the heart. You know, when you kill a pig, they plunge the knife right through into the heart. They don’t hit any bone. And that is exactly the way they did it to Jesus. When the sword was plunged into His heart, a gush of blood came out even upon the soldier, because all His blood had drained down into His stomach. Blood and water, the Bible said.

When you, therefore, fight against devils and demons, you have to think of the Blood of Jesus Christ. Then you say, “This is for my deliverance. He shed His Blood for my soul.” Do you know why? That Blood was the Blood of God Almighty! It had the life of God in it. There is something in blood apart from plasma. The plasma is only the natural part of it. It is the same as if I was looking at your natural part. Your body is just the natural, but there is a soul inside you, a light. When we talk about the Blood of Jesus Christ, we are not talking about the plasma, but we are talking about the life that is in the Blood.

When you begin to get this settled in your mind, it comes down into your heart. And then, when you are faced with a devil and you begin to call upon the Blood of Jesus Christ to come and set you free, to deliver you, or to cover you, energy from heaven comes down, covers you, and blows away any devil. There is no devil in hell, even Satan himself, who can stand the Blood! This is what I mean by the Blood. You must have it pre-put into you, pre-placed into your heart and into your mind so that it might function. You cannot just call upon the blood, the blood, the blood, and believe that this red thing is going to come and help you.

Now, let me tell you about our mission in Nigeria.

Before God sent us, I saw us in a vision fighting against this massive spirit they call “Mami Wata.” It is half woman and half fish. Everybody worships her and everybody is afraid of her. No matter what they tell you, they are afraid of this spirit. You know, the type of manifestation that happens in Nigeria wouldn’t happen here. This spirit came to a classroom and appeared right before all the children. She just showed herself with her fishtail and the kids spooked. They got absolutely crazy, jumped through the windows and nine of them died. The police and the soldiers had to take charge of the campus. Fear was in the whole city. Things like this wouldn’t happen in America.

While we were there, this spirit came in and decided to destroy us, because we were destroying his works. Mami Wata made the women barren so that they could not have children. We went in, laid hands on these women and rebuked the devil. Praise God, the women got pregnant one after the other. There was a family in Port Harcourt, three sisters, and they were all barren. They could not have children because of the influence of this particular devil. Unless the women submit to it, they don’t have children. These sisters did not submit and so they wouldn’t have any children. One of them came to us and asked for prayer. The moment we prayed for her, she was loosed, her sister was loosed, as well as the third one and all of a sudden all of them began to have children.

The devils cannot stand the Blood of Jesus Christ! They cannot stand the Blood! So if you have the Blood of Jesus Christ, the power of God with you, you will be able to overcome these devils. When we went against the Mami Wata spirit, some of the brethren were afraid. They actually gave us up for dead. They sent a message to us and tried to intimidate us. You know, spirits cannot die the way human beings die, but they can be arrested by God and put away so that they don’t hurt humans any more. We began to fight against it and it really tried to kill us, but God intervened in putting that spirit down. He also put down the workers of iniquity and showed them that God is the Lord, the Almighty God. Do you know what happened? All the male sorcerer’s began to die one after the other. I am telling the truth: some of the most powerful sorcerers died fighting against us! Praise be to God for His Blood is the mightiest weapon that can ever be found!
