Brother Cecil J. duCille (1922-2009) was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. He graduated from the University of West Indies with degrees in Agricultural Economics and Accounting. He held the position of Head Accountant for the governmental Department of Agriculture in Jamaica for many years. He and his wife Mavis (1927-2008) also owned and taught at a private school in Jamaica. They had three sons.
Brother duCille was commissioned by Jesus Christ as an apostle of our time and a minister of the Gospel in 1948. Throughout the course of his life, both him and his wife, carried the Gospel of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ worldwide establishing congregations throughout the globe. They first started in the Island of Jamaica. Then in 1969 they were sent by God to the United States to warn the people of God of the destruction that was coming. They founded Sonlight Gospel Association and established works throughout Europe, Africa, India, and many other countries. They traveled tirelessly through the entire world, teaching and preaching wherever the doors would open to receive the revelation that God had given to them.
Brother and Sister duCille loved the Lord Jesus Christ with their whole hearts and devoted their entire life to service to their King. Many lives were changed by the word and ministry that God poured out through them. Many witnessed outstanding miracles, but the greatest of them all was the selfless dedication of the man and woman to the message of the Kingdom of God. Their service to the Body of Christ throughout the entire world left a legacy of their love for God and God’s people. They will never be forgotten as their ministry has touched the lives of four generations and continues to do so.
