Jesus Christ is “the Light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world,” John 1:9 says. He lights the atheist, He lights the Muslims, and even the Hindus get the light. We have to understand that if a man is born in darkness and knows nothing but darkness, somewhere along his life Jesus must light his darkness. If Jesus does not light him, then He is responsible for him for the man was born in sin and shaped in iniquity and only God can deliver him. And so if Jesus never lights him, he has no hope and God cannot judge him. God can judge you only if you reject Him. If you don’t know Him, you cannot reject Him.
I know a man in Africa whom the devil chose from the time he was in his mother’s womb. While she was pregnant with him, the whole tribe decided the child was going to be the christ-child. In that part of Africa they believe that a christ comes every now and then. That particular child was going to be a christ-child. When he was born the sign of the christ-child came upon him: A bee flew in, sat right on his forehead and they said, “This is the sign.” They began to train him to be this christ-type of a person since he was a baby. The man grew up knowing nothing else but how to deal with devils. He would travel astral projection at night to go to various places, see various things and walk in the realms of hell. Because he knew nothing more, God owed him something.
He got married and his wife was used as a séance, as a medium. A demon would come into her and her husband would talk to the demon in her. The most horrible thing that can happen to a human being is for a stinking demon to come into you, take over your mind, take over your mouth and you not being able to do anything about it. He just speaks through you. She hated it. Every time it was done she would say, “If there is a God, help me!” God owed her, too. One day, her husband was about to do his thing when Jesus suddenly appeared before him. Nothing would work for him for this light was before him. So, he called out to the prince of devils, “Come and help me! You promised you would help me if I was in any trouble!” He told us later that the prince of the devils came and said, “Uuuhhh! NO, NOT THAT ONE!!!” A thought lodged in this man’s mind, “I thought we were the greatest. I didn’t know that there was any power greater than us. My prince ran like a thief! Something is wrong here.” Jesus took him and showed him how Satan was pulling them all down into hell. This man had a lot of converts and all of them were being pulled by the devil backwards with chains. Then, the devil went “whooom” into the deep fire and pulled them all down with him. When the man saw it, he said, “I want Jesus. I want You, Jesus!” Jesus came in, anointed him with power and delivered him from the prince of devils. Why? Because Jesus MUST!
Jesus MUST light every human being that comes into the world. The only human being who can go to hell is the one who REJECTS JESUS. These people were prisoners taken by the devil for so many years. But in the fullness of time, God brought the deliverance. Isaiah 49:24 and 25 says, “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.”
There is no prey, there is no devil that can overcome you! Get this truth into your hearts, brethren. Plant it deep down. We sing a song, There is no Power That Can Overcome You. We have to know that there truly is no power, no power on earth that can overcome us, because we have been bought, purchased, and paid for. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God will cancel death and save us.
