One Sunday morning, many, many years ago, we were in West Palm Beach having a service. One of the young men who belonged to the church was a basketball player. His team was playing that particular Sunday. While we were in church and he was playing, somebody ran into the service just as I was about to start preaching. “John broke his leg and they had to rush him off to the hospital,” was the news. The Spirit of God spoke to us, “Let everyone arise!” So we all rose up. I said, “Everyone of you have guardian angels that God has assigned to you personally for your personal guard. Now, let us send these angels in the name of Jesus to the hospital so that they would minister to John.”
It might sound controversial, but if you do things like this, you are not sending anything. It is all through Christ Jesus. We stood up and cried out to God, “Lord God, send Your angels to the hospital and minister to John.” By the time John got into surgery, he had no broken leg!
God is trying to show us what we are dealing with, but we don’t really understand it: the magnificent power of God in us!
