Scripture reading: John 17:20-23

I have touched on this subject already and I am going to touch on it again: that God has set in the world apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers. While we move TOGETHER, we will conquer every force on earth, and the CHURCH will be brought to the place of ministry (Ephesians 4:11-14). In other words, the minister must be done away with, but the church is forever! Hallelujah! We are expendable! We will pass away, and our function will pass, but the people of God (You! The body of Christ!), that is what God wants!

Remember now, God never had any title named, “apostle.” He made us apostles, but it is not a title. You cannot be “Apostle So and So.” He made us prophets, but we do not say, “Prophet Tom,” or “Prophet Burt.” No! IT IS NOT A TITLE! It is a designation, a job designation! It is a job! The name of the job is “apostle.” The name of the job is “prophet.” Amen!

Let us turn to John 17:20, “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word.” You can always remind the devil that Jesus prayed for you. “Jesus prayed for me, therefore, you cannot tell me anything else!”

Verse 21, “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” In other words, God is going to use you to let the world know that God sent Jesus.

Verse 22, “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.” God wants us to be one, even as Christ and God the Father are one! Meaning to say, “I in you and you in me,” and, “we in Christ and Christ in GOD!” Amen! This is the function, this is the oneness. I do not care how weak you are. I do not care how wishy-washy you are. God has made you to be an overcomer, and that you must be! Amen!

Verse 23, “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”

So then, in the name of Jesus and by the Blood of Jesus, let us take this food. Let us feast upon it night and day until it becomes a part of us, and let us walk in truth.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, December 2003, pg. 61-62)

Thought for today: Let us walk in truth and move together so that we are able to conquer every force on earth.

Scripture reading: Ephesians 4:11

Yesterday we talked about “having your loins girt about with truth” and about following the true apostolic leading. Let us look today at more “truth” and the other ministries described in Ephesians 4:11.

We have the prophetic ministry but we do not respect them. If somebody prophetically comes and tells me something, for example my wife, I say, “Now, where did you get it? Is it you or from the Lord?” She says, “Well, it just comes to me.” I say, “Well, that is good enough for me.” The prophetic ministry is not only speaking through the prophets, but it is speaking through the hearts of all the brethren, because the spirit of prophecy is the Spirit of Christ (Revelation 19:10)! When the prophetic ministry speaks, I have already had the word inside of me. The Christ in me says, “Aha!” I am afraid to do anything against what is said by a prophetic ministry! We have to begin to believe God.

“…and he gave some evangelists…” There is a brother I know who is going out as an evangelist. I noticed that when he goes, God makes it a point to give him some substance wherever he goes. I am not talking about people with whatever faults we have, but I am talking about “God in us.” I am talking about “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). Christ moving in you and Christ moving through you! I have no business with your faults! God will take care of them! MOVE AS GOD WOULD HAVE YOU TO MOVE, AND STOP SUBMITTING TO THE SPIRITS OF UNBELIEF! Hallelujah! Instead of sitting back on your haunches and criticizing everything that everybody does, get up and do something! Amen!

“…and he gave some shepherds…” You know, we lack shepherds. Oh, we lack shepherds! There is nobody who loves the people, who will lay down their lives for them, who will go and seek them out in the darkness, who is looking after them. I think that the poverty of this specific group is the lack of shepherd ministry. Does anyone care? Do we really care? There is such and such a one and we have not seen him for a while; he has not come back to service. We do not know what is wrong with him; and then a little news might come around that he is out there eating dirt—and nobody goes after him! We cannot allow them to stay there! We will not allow them to stay there! Somebody should say, “Lord God, kill me unless such and such comes back!” But do you know what? If you just say it of yourself, you are a goner. You are going to die. That is, if you say it of yourself. You need to have the spiritual energy that comes from God, which gives you the real compassion for that person. Compassion that rises to a level that you put your own heart and life on the line! Not one should die in our midst. Many are walking in the ways of death and hell, but we need to reach out to them.

We pray for the people, because these things are being done by spirits. The spirits are even going as far as dressing up the people like spirits. Have you ever looked at the costumes the children wear at Halloween? These are the spirits that are reigning and ruling in the world around us, the powers of the world (the “cosmokratoras”) that are binding us, binding the church, and stopping the church from going. God Almighty is speaking a word to get the church loose. THE CHURCH MUST MOVE OUT NOW AND BREAK THE POWER OF THE DEVIL IN OUR LIVES! Amen!

If you find yourself cursing, you know that it is something that is wrong. A brother once said that he found himself cursing, having profanity in his mind. He said that he would not talk it out and nobody would hear, but it was in his mind. That shows that there is a demon ministering death to his mind. This brother was only the mouthpiece to talk it out, of that which goes through the minds of some of the brethren.

“Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth…” If you do not have the truth, if your belt is not properly girded, then you have left a space for Satan to administer DEATH to you. Do you understand? You have left a space! The truth MUST be there! Question everything that you hear, and question it and question it and question it until it becomes LIFE to you! The clean animal chews his cud. So CHEW YOUR CUD!

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, December 2003, pg. 55-57)

Thought for today: Trust the ministry that God has ordained in the church and chew the cud until it becomes life to you.

Scripture reading: 2 Peter 3:8-14

Let us talk about the third dispensation today – “the dispensation of the prophets.” This dispensation presented another way of escape. If you are a prophet, there is something that happens to you. Do you know what really happens to a prophet? There are two manifestations of the Spirit of God. One manifestation is without, and one is within. God said that the Spirit of God shall be with you and also in you (John 14:16-17). That is the promise to us, but God never said it to Elijah, or Elisha, or any of the prophets. The Spirit of God would fall on them, but when the Spirit of God lifted from them, they were just as natural as the day that they were born. Amen! Why do I say that? I will give you an example.

Do you remember King Saul? You know how bad he was. We see him in 1 Samuel 19 going with murder in his heart trying to kill David, but when he meets the prophet Samuel, the Spirit falls upon him and he starts prophesying. So then we see here that he did not prophesy because he was a good fellow. As a matter of fact, he was a “demon on wheels!” But he prophesied because the Spirit of God fell on him and he could not help himself.

When Elijah the prophet died, it was not because he was sick. Have you ever heard of Elijah’s sickness? No. I have never heard of it either, because he was not sick. God just said, “You are going to die.” He didn’t even say “die,” He just said, “You will be taken away today,” meaning to say, “No longer will you have to depend on the earth to suffice your physical needs. No longer will you need to eat fruits and vegetables.” Somebody said the other day that you must eat your veggies and all that sort of thing. No! God said we have come to the stage where we are not going to be wanting any more of these things, for the rich pure oxygen of God’s holy power will be flowing through our veins, and our mortal bodies will be immortalized by the power of God! It is very simple, because we have a dual-purpose body. A dual-purpose body. And this body must live by energy. Amen!

So then, the dual-purpose body that you have can have both the Holy Spirit inside of you or the Holy Spirit outside of you. But God has curtailed the outside operation. He does not do much of the outside operation because the devil can do it also. If God trained you up to listen to Him with your natural ear, then you would hear a lot of other things with your natural ears and confusion would set in.

Let us look a bit closer at this dual-purpose body. If the Spirit of God floods into you, certain things will happen to you that are unnatural. Did you know that you can fly? Do you really know that? If the Spirit of God gets into you enough, the Spirit of God will cancel out gravity. I am not telling you anything that I have not seen done. I have seen it happen. The Spirit of God will cancel out the gravity that is so powerful and so natural for us.

But it is not just gravity that the Spirit of God cancels out. It cancels out sin in you. It cancels out bad propensities that you have inculcated through your whole life, that you have taken from your parents. He cancels out the seat of iniquity within you. Do you know there might be a stool within you where some demon spirit sits down and feels comfortable? Yes! A rocking chair inside of your soul! The Spirit of God cancels it out, smashes the chair, and drives the devil out.

But the devil feels comfortable with some of us. Not just with some of us, but with all of us sometimes. If you allow the devil to be in you, he is going to start manifesting as “God.” Many of us think that to manifest in the gifts of the Spirit exults your position in God. But the gifts of the Spirit are God working in man. It is far above the spiritual stature of the believer. Amen.

I have told you already of the bad man King Saul, how he prophesied and yet it did not add to his spiritual stature. It is because the Spirit of God in you wants to do one work in you more than any other operation. He wants to take the devil out of you. The Bible says that we are “the temple of the living God” (2 Corinthians 6:16) and that we are looking for “a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness” (2 Peter 3:13). This is what God is creating: a new heaven and a new earth.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, December 2003, pg. 10-12)

Thought for today: Let the Spirit of God flood into you today so that it may cancel out sin in you.

Scripture reading: Malachi 4:5-6

It is God’s way to send a “forerunner” or watchman to warn His people whenever great happenings are to take place. At the advent of Christ, John the Baptist was sent as a forerunner, and Jesus Christ described him in Matthew 11:14 as “…Elijah, which was for to come” before the coming of Messiah. There is, however, a prophecy (Malachi 4:5) that said that there would be yet another Elijah coming, “…before the great and dreadful day of the Lord.” This Elijah is a body of people or a watchman church which is sent to awaken the Church.

I first began to hear this voice in 1948 through the prophetic ministry of a man named William Branham. (Note: 1948 was also the same year that the state of Israel was reborn.) It would be very easy to find a lot of faults and weaknesses in any one of us, but when we divide the “Thus saith the Lord” word from the man, we find that God did indeed speak in 1948, which was also the time of the birth of the “Latter Rain” movement. This prophetic, Elijah forerunner ministry began to grow from that time, which I would classify as the beginning of the trumpet call to the Church to awake, until now which I would classify as the end of the trumpet call to the Church to awake.

We see many true prophets arising today in the Church, and also many false ones and many pretenders. Besides all this, there is the voice of prophecy within the Church itself, so that every true child of God is receiving some sort of signal from the realms of heaven concerning the end of time. At this time, therefore, God has sent and is sending into the Body of Christ, prophets and prophetesses. It is Zion that we are speaking about, and He said,

“The Lord shall roar out of Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem” (Joel 3:16, Amos 1:2).

These are people who have paid the price, and have maintained their foothold on the mountain of God so that they may be watchmen to see above the heads of the people and warn them of the good and of the evil.

Let us read from Matthew 25:6, “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.”

Who made the cry? Was it the sleeping body crying out to herself? It was the watchman who never slept. I see this as the prophetic ministry which God has placed in the Church. We note from history that God always had someone to cry aloud no matter how dark it was in Israel. This then is what we are dealing with at this moment. The ministry that “…sighs and cries” (Ezekiel 9:4) in the earth is none other than that Elijah ministry.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, August 1996, pg. 1-2)

Thought for today: Let us hear the prophetic utterances in the midst of the Body of Christ. Let us obey the Voice of God and be ready for the great and dreadful Day of the Lord.

Scripture reading: Matthew 20:25-27

The church cannot reach to its height in the Spirit without the function of the prophet ministry. By this, I do not mean prophesying in the church. The ministry of the prophet is one which carries a power and authority in the church next to the apostle.

The mistaken idea about spiritual authority is that men who claim to have authority in the church are mostly those who rule over different sections of the church, BUT authority is from God. WHEN THE WORD SPOKEN is powerful in heaven and on earth, then that is spiritual authority.

An example of this is a situation where a certain minister’s preaching was being challenged, and the brethren decided that they would not have him any more. He said nothing but went away and prayed to God. The result was that they were sorry, and reversed their decision. The authority was exercised in the Spirit.

On the other hand, there are those who speak great swelling words, only to find that the Spirit of God was not with them, and their words did not carry with the spiritual people.

Jesus had this to say of spiritual authority:

Matthew 20:25-27, (RSV) “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. It shall not be so among you; but who so ever would be great among you must be your servant, and who so ever would be first among you must be your slave.”

This simply means that God will exalt such a person to a place of authority, so that “whatsoever he binds on earth is bound in heaven.” We can see clearly that God intends a Prophet to speak as the very oracle of God.

(Excerpt from The Pattern, pg. 74-75)

Thought for today: WHEN THE WORD SPOKEN is powerful in heaven and on earth, then that is spiritual authority.
