Scripture reading: Ezekiel 8:7-10

You may ask: What is it that he is talking about in Ezekiel 8:7-10? He is talking about your idols! You say, “But, I have no idols!” May God Almighty help us! May God Almighty help us! What is it that is keeping you away from absolute surrender to Christ Jesus in all things? What is it? Where is your idol?

I can see idols all around. Just lift up your eyes in the Spirit and you will see the idols. Oh, praise be to God! I go out on the street and it is very simple to see the idols out there. The people put on clothes and dress like their idols. You can easily pick them out. But the church people have a time to cover up, especially when they come into service, and you do not see their idols very easily. However, if you look in the Spirit, you can see the idols. What is it that is keeping you from walking perfectly in the Spirit of God so that you have a satisfaction in your spirit that, “I have done the will of my Father!” What is it? That is your idol! Do you hear me?

He is telling you here to dig in the hole in “your” wall (because you are the “son of man” here; this passage of Scripture is speaking of you and so it is YOUR wall). Dig a little deeper and you will see your idols; you will know that some of these idols are so secretly placed that we never know them. Sometimes it takes somebody to come and smite you before you will find out the terrible thoughts that can come in your mind. Yes! Suicide! Murder! You would not believe that you have those in you, would you? But let somebody kill your child, let somebody do something to your child, let somebody walk over you in the way that destroys your life, and you will find all these wicked demons coming up in your soul. Yet, you did not know that they were there before.

God is speaking to these idols. The prophet said he saw, but he had to dig in the wall and find a secret door. Amen! God will always open a hole for you to start your digging. He is opening it even now.

“We cannot go where we must go if we do not take care of this thing, saith the Lord!”

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, July 2000, pg. 34-35)

Thought for today: Dig in the hole in your wall so that you can find the idols of your life and overcome them by the power of God.

Scripture reading: Matthew 16:13-19

There is something I want to show to you, which I trust will give you a new perspective in the Spirit. The church is at war against the principalities and powers of darkness, so when the enemy touches one, he touches all. This stirs the hearts of the people of God unto prayer and fasting. The Lord has been revealing to us that we should not anymore wait for the enemy to attack us, but that we should attack him, and through the Blood of Jesus Christ bind the principalities and powers and rulers of darkness of this world, in every one of our areas where we live and work. This attack should be continuous as an offensive action. Every time we pray, we should bind the ruling spirits in our area, so that they should take their hands off the lives of the people, in their homes, in their families, in their churches. The Scriptures say in Matthew 16:18 that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church. This means that the church should attack hell and break down its gates and set the captives free.

Isaiah 49:24, “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord, even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.”

The battle is the Lord’s.

When a brother and a sister we know were hospitalized after a terrible accident, there was a night and day prayer going up to God on their behalf. There was a continuous 24 hour a day prayer, as brethren all over the world joined us. They were constantly on our mind. We began to tell the brethren to pray differently from the way they were used to; that they should COMMAND the deliverance through the anointing of the Spirit, because healing is the “children’s bread” (Matthew 15:26). Speak the word! The centurion asked of Jesus that if He would just “speak the word,” he knew that his servant would be healed (Matthew 8:8). The power of the spoken word accomplishes much. Many times, we are begging and pleading with God for that which He has already given.

I remember the time when Jesus asked me, “What do you want? Whatever you desire, ask and it shall be given.” I said, “Lord, I want to see someone healed.” He gave me the gift of healing. I ran through the door out into the street searching for a sick person. I found a sick woman, spoke the word, and she got up out of her sick bed, healed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

People of God, stop crying and doubting. Begin to move in the Spirit and power of God. When you start doing this, you will find out how willing the Spirit of God is to work through you. He only needs clean, submitted vessels. You will never know whether you have a gift or not until you begin to be exercised in it.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, April 1997, pg. 4-6)

Thought for today: Will you take up the challenge and command the deliverance to your life and the lives of God’s people? You will be surprised how willing the Spirit of God is to work through you.

Scripture reading: Revelation 2:8-11

We find the church being split in two. Part of them will overcome and the other part will not overcome. There are overcomers and there are losers. Sometimes words do not convey the strength of meaning to us when we hear them. For instance, you hear the word overcomers and you wonder to yourself what is to be overcome. Overcomers first of all overcome their own natures. They overcome the mind of the world, the mind of the flesh, the mind they inherited from their families, and they overcome strong emotions. If you do not overcome your emotions and have them under control, then they will overcome you and destroy you. Overcomers overcome their own will and their own desires.

This is a battle royal when a person overcomes himself through the Blood of Jesus Christ and the power which God has given. For indeed, the Spirit of God has given us power to overcome familiar spirits, old family ties, things that pull us down and make us losers. We are not to go out and overcome other people. We need to overcome the flesh, the devil, and the world. This is what we mean by “he that overcometh.

I John 2:15-17, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

What is the love of the world? One day I went to the supermarket and observed the people. They all looked alike. I knew somehow that some Christians had come in, but there was no difference between the way the Christians looked and the way the sinners looked. They all seemed to be part of the sexual revolution. They were showing as much of their bodies as they could, both men and women, young and old. The mind of the flesh had been ministered from Hollywood, Paris, London, and from other fashion places to the minds of these people. The people have become one with this mind of demonic spirits that control the world.

We must realize that the ways of the world, the thoughts of the world, the emotions of the world, and the desires of the world ARE NOT OF GOD. The people of God ARE EXPECTED to resist these things and to be different. It is difficult, but the Holy Spirit in us will help us to be different. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

We have many songs that say, “I love you, Lord Jesus” and the songs are so beautiful. When you hear the people of God singing, you hope and wish their love was true but there is very little truth in it, because those who love the world do not love God. The quicker we realize we do not love God, the quicker we will come to repentance and say, “Oh God, I have discovered that I love the world and I do not love you. Give me Your love.” God will pour out His Spirit upon you. “He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.” This is the promise to the overcomer.

(Excerpt from The Book of Revelation, Volume 1, pg. 36-37)

Thought for today: Remember it is your own nature that you must overcome in order to be the overcomer.

Scripture reading: Judges 11:29-40

In the book of Judges, Jephthah, a judge of Israel, swore to God to give as an offering the first thing that met him on his return from a victorious battle. His beloved and only daughter met him and he had to give her to the Lord.

His character was under severe testing. He did not flinch or say. “Lord, I did not mean this.” He just turned her over to God, and since we know that God does not accept human sacrifice, then this scripture could only mean that she was given to God as a bond servant of the temple for the rest of her life.

Numbers 30:2, “If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.”

When one reads a law as the above, the first thought which comes is, “What relationship does this have to us and our time?” The Scripture says that the law was a school-master to bring us unto Christ. When therefore we come to Christ, we do not destroy the Law. Through Christ in me I will not become a Covenant breaker. My vows at Baptism – that I will follow the Lord in death, burial and resurrection – are kept by the power of the Holy Ghost.

Paul describes “Covenant Breakers” as one of the signs of the end-time and in our time we have seen some of the greatest examples of Covenant Breakers – Hitler for instance, signed a non-aggression pact with Russia while he was preparing to attack them. More recently Russia signed a S.A.L.T. treaty with the West and has broken almost every line of it. Nearer to home – husbands and wives make matrimonial vows to one another and break them in record numbers all over the world today.

Let us return unto the Lord, to our vows of salvation, our vows of baptism, and our vows to follow the Lord wherever He goes. Let us recommit ourselves to our families and to the family of God.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, October 1983)

Thought for today: Let us return unto the Lord and keep the covenants we have vowed unto Him.

Scripture reading: Leviticus 14:10-13

When you look in Leviticus 14:10-13, you will see that there was a “he lamb” offering made. But the next offering that was made was the “ewe (she) lamb.” The scripture would never refer to Jesus as a “she” lamb, so what God is saying is that He has a Church that is going to be walking in His footsteps, and walking in His precepts, a Church that will lay down their lives to bring in the harvest of God. This is what the ewe lamb is. But then, He said that there is another “he lamb” to be offered in the evening, and that lamb is all the lambs put together.

Let me take you to Revelation 12 where the woman brings forth the manchild. Revelation 12:1, And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

We are talking about a Church – a Church standing on a Church, pregnant with a Church, bringing forth a Church. And that is the LAST CHURCH, which is no longer a “she” Church. It is a “HE” Church. But then, why did “HE” change from a woman to a man? Because the Church is now having the power in Himself. When you see the men in Christ, the men in God just like Jesus Christ Himself, then you know that Christ is part of that Church. So Jesus Christ is bringing forth a Church that will be filled with CHRIST.

The brethren said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1b). “Teach us to pray; we don’t know how to pray; teach us to pray.” He said unto them, “When you pray, say, ‘Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.’ And then you say, ‘Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, IN ME as in Heaven.’” “In earth,” He says. IN EARTH, but we don’t expect it just to be in the dirt outside there. It must be in the HIGHEST EARTH, when man is filled with the power of God, and with the fullness of God, and Christ is reigning! Sometimes I hear you singing, “Thy throne, O God, is forever,” and I am smiling. You don’t know what you are saying. The throne of God will be in your heart. He said, “You will be the throne of God, the temple of the living God, and I will create an everlasting temple.” If the temple is everlasting, then He can give you everlasting promises.

So if we understand the Word of God – it is just one Word and right through and through we can see the Word of God bringing forth life everywhere.

(Excerpt from Keeping in Touch, February 2007, pg. 41-42)

Thought for today: Jesus Christ is bringing forth a Church that will be filled with CHRIST.
