Scripture reading: 1 John 3:5-8

When the process of salvation begins to take place, the Holy Ghost with the permission of the individual, begins to pour life and light into him. This is the work of the Blood. The Blood of Jesus Christ, therefore, is the life of Jesus Christ which hovers around everybody. It is not just the believers who have the Blood of Jesus Christ around them. This energy, this life of God, this glory of the Spirit of God, is hovering around every person. Just call upon the name of the Lord and God will answer you immediately. God will save you. What do we mean by the word “save”? The quickening Spirit of God enters into a dead soul and the dead soul becomes a living soul. A living soul begins to respond to God in a way it could not respond before. The chief instrument of salvation, then, is the Blood of Jesus Christ. The Blood of Jesus Christ is the life of God. The life of God is available to all men. Those who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Questions are asked: What are we saved from? What are we saved to? If we are saved from something, it must be a salvation unto something. We are saved from the penalty of sin. We are saved from sinning. If any man sin, he has an advocate with the Father, even Jesus Christ, the righteous. We are not supposed to sin, but if any man sins, because we were children of sin and it is likely we will sin again, we have an advocate with the Father, BUT there is no deliberate willful sin in the Christian (see 1 John 3:5-8).

The word “committeth” written in the old English CONTINUOUS tense, translates “he that (continually) committeth sin is of the devil.” When God comes into you, when you accept the Blood of Jesus, you receive a quickening. That quickening is to give you STRENGTH not to sin. Temptations will come to you, but you will have the strength NOT TO SIN. Every temptation that comes to you, you have the power to overcome it. When you do not overcome it, then you have an advocate with the Father, even Jesus Christ the righteous, who will cleanse you again and give you another opportunity to go forward and sin not.

This is the symbol of the Brazen Altar in the Tabernacle of Moses, or the first seal, and Jesus Christ broke the seal and opened up this deliverance for mankind. This is the place where the bull becomes beef and where the man becomes part of the high priest, and he is going to walk with the HIGH PRIEST, WHO IS CHRIST, through the Tabernacle, even unto the fullness. Let us note, as a matter of sound doctrine, that the high priest never eats the meat in the Outer Court. He takes the meat with him into the Holy Place and he does not eat it until he gets to the Table of Shewbread. There he eats the meat and the bread. Thus THE BELIEVER BECOMES A PART OF THE CHRIST IN THE HOLY PLACE and not in the Outer Court.

Thought for today: Let us thank God for the experience of salvation and let Him lead us to the following experiences as the rest of the seals are opened unto us.

Scripture reading: John 6:38-40

The promise of resurrection is an insurance policy to the believer. In this promise, Jesus tells us when He will raise us up: “…at the last day” – repeated over and over in chapter 6 of the gospel of John.

“Thine, O LORD is the greatness and the power and the glory…” (I Chronicles 29:11), and He has given it to us so that we can preach the gospel. Believe in Him, and the power of God is yours in Christ Jesus. This power is the RESURRECTION, and it is going to resurrect the whole realm in which we live. Everything around you will be resurrected by the LIFE of Christ that is in you. Many people believe that Jesus Christ is going to return to the earth to fight the devil, and to do this and to do that, but He is not going to do anything. He has already done it! He said, “It is finished.” He went to Calvary and completed our redemption. He finished His work giving us the tools and setting the stage for the total overthrow and eradication of evil from our realm.

In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus had a great battle within Himself, “…Let this cup pass from me.” As the Christ (Messiah), He wanted to finish the job (to overthrow the devil, then and there). As the Lamb, He wanted to see the blood shed. “Nevertheless, not my will but thine be done.” God’s will was done.

Christ is life, and the life is contrary to death. If you let loose life, it will destroy death, and that is what we call resurrection. In the garden, Jesus had to hold back the life that was in Him. It was a terrible battle. Can you imagine having the power to set creation free and having to hold back for two thousand years? God said, “NO,” because there was a body to come forth, which would receive the resurrection life and follow the footsteps of Jesus.

The issue of sin does not even enter in. This life of Christ will destroy the sin in us. Sin cannot overcome the LIFE!

“…Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).

Nothing can remove us. Let us dwell upon this until we realize how glorious and how wonderful it is.

The LIFE of God in us is a resurrection power and when it breaks loose in heaven, “…the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14). This resurrection will bring life to everything on earth. The trees will live forever, the animals will live forever, men will live forever – because death will be abolished.

“And he shewed me a pure river of water of LIFE… and on either side of the river, was there the tree of LIFE…” (Revelation 22:1-2).

It is so sweet to think of, that we possess God until God possesses us. Thank you, Jesus!

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, June 1996, pg. 5, 16-17)

Thought for today: Don’t let the devil lie to you that you are too weak, that you can’t do anything about your condition or situation. Let loose life in your soul and it will destroy death. That is what we call resurrection.

Scripture reading: John 14:23

We receive the Holy Ghost by obedience to the blood. Some groups teach that by obedience to the ministry we receive the Spirit and other attributes of God, but this is error. This is the same error which the Catholic Church and all the other denominations preach, when they say they are the only true church, and unless you belong to their ranks you cannot make heaven.

God’s order of things is that one obeys the Word of God to receive the blood of Christ, which is the life of God. The next step is to obey that which you have received, to receive that which you desire. We obey the blood, and we receive the Holy Ghost. When we obey the Holy Ghost, we receive the fullness. This is clearly defined by Jesus Himself in John 14:23,

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

The Holy Ghost causes people to speak in tongues, but not everyone who speaks in tongues is filled with the Holy Ghost. In some places, devil worshippers speak in tongues. There are unclean churches who believe in abominable living, preaching and teaching abomination for doctrines, yet speak in tongues. People can speak in tongues psychologically. There are three types of tongues:

(a) Tongues from God
(b) Tongues from the devil
(c) Tongues from the mind of the individual.

God knows that we need the Holy Ghost so that Christ would be formed in us. Therefore, if you obey the blood, you will receive the Holy Ghost.

Thought for today: We receive the Holy Ghost by obedience to the blood.
