Scripture reading: Revelation 12:7-11

In every type of warfare, in order to be effective and to win, one must know the enemy. There are two basic tricks that Satan plays on humanity:

1.  He appeals to the carnal mind to deny his existence and hides his work to convince the carnal mind that it is just natural and sometimes coincidental. He did it to Eve, and tried it with Jesus.

2.  He intimidates some, convincing them of the greatness of his prowess.

The time has come as never before in the history of mankind for the saints to fight and to overcome the devil. In the heat of the battle, when one is oppressed with all manner of circumstances and what seems to be coincidences, one is apt to think, “Why me?” When, however, we understand the nature of the battle, we will rejoice at the wonderful implications which it portends.

The first glorious implication that we will deal with in the passage of scripture from Revelation 12 is that portion where it is written, “…neither was their place found any more in heaven.” If we rightly assume that the word “heaven” in this rendition is speaking of the kingdom of God and that this dimension of the kingdom is referring to the kingdom within us (Ref. Luke 17:21), then this verse would be saying that Satan and his angels had a place in us, but that at some time in the history of the Church they will lose that place.  If then, time is so far spent that we are at the end of the sixth day and within a few short years the seventh day or seventh millennium must dawn, then it is now time for us to be totally delivered from every evil spirit of darkness.

In order to achieve this, there must be a travail (Revelation 12:2). The travail of the Church is the war that we are experiencing at this time. The only pattern that this attack has is that it is satanic. The war has no boundaries, nor venue. The enemy is using every element, every devil, and every person who can be used against us. The war is total. Every weakness, which in time past was permitted to lodge within us and had a place in us, is being exploited and there is no place to hide. The families are under attack as never before. The children are under attack as never before. The husbands who could hide their weakness behind the skirts of their wives are being exposed and the wives who were hiding behind the masculinity of their husbands are being exposed. Our only hiding place now is in Christ.

Sin has lost its hiding place in us. Only true repentance will set us free from imbibed or besetting sin, for now is the time when the fullness of salvation shall come to us.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, December 1991, pg. 1-2)

Thought for today: Let us fall before the Lord and repent before Him from every sin which doth so easily beset us so that we may find our hiding place in Christ.

Scripture reading: Proverbs 22:6

God’s words are true and everlasting. They are our very life. We must recognize and obey the Word. Modern trends have worked havoc in the lives of many, who in search of reality and justice embrace the rebellion of the age, instead of seeking the old path of love, respect, honour and reverence. Wives professing godliness must be sober, love their husbands and their children (Titus 2:4-5), be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

If you are unequally yoked, seek God. He takes care of all our problems. Let us show forth Christ-likeness under all circumstances. There is always an answer to our problems. The reason we fail to find it, many times, is that we are busily applying our own methods, or the methods of some of our friends.

May God take rebellion from our hearts and homes, and establish us in true holiness and righteousness, for the day of the Lord is at hand.

PARENTS: A most honorable position – children truly are a gift from God. It is incumbent upon parents to teach, train, provide for, nurture, control, love, correct, instruct, and above all, set good examples for their children.

The sin of the father will visit the third and fourth generation of them that hate God, or rather of them that are disobedient to God, but those who obey God give their children a chance to be delivered from these familiar spirits that go from one generation to another.

Parents who leave the training of their children completely to the sitter, school or elsewhere, are shirking their responsibility before God, and are accountable for the souls they have brought into this world.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6) – and if he departs, he will not wander far. Remember, too, discipline begins PRENATALLY.

Never give up on your children; if they seem to be getting away from that path of righteousness, keep on praying and believing. Your prayers could be their only hope of deliverance.

BELIEVE GOD. HE CANNOT FAIL.

CHILDREN: Your parents have given you life; love, honor, and obey them. Show me a boy or girl who is disobedient and rebellious, and you know that one is under the power of the devil and will be destroyed if he/she is not delivered from this terrible vice.

It is said that disobedience to parents will be one of the plagues of the end time. See 2nd Timothy 3:2. Corrupt and destroy the children of today, and you are faced with a world of terror tomorrow. But may the God of peace break the power of this evil, and deliver the children. We see many an evil of yesterday coming to roost at this time.

Children, no matter how small, can show forth the love of God in their everyday lives. This can be very beautiful; they are fresh and innocent – jewels of God’s love and grace.

Children radiate the spirit of love and kindness, or hate and arrogance, depending on their environment, home and school especially.

We can all see the battle in the homes, created by the enemy, but who suffers most? The children do, of course. Beloved, the effort on our part to maintain love, joy, and peace in our homes is a precious labor to enrich the lives of our children. They are part of the Kingdom of God. Bring them to Jesus no matter how young. He will keep them in His love.

Thought for today: Let us show forth Christ-likeness under all circumstances.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 35:5-10

Apostle Peter said in Matthew 16:16, “Thou art the Christ...,” and Jesus replied to him in verse 19, “…I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven...” After Jesus said this to Peter, Peter went and opened up the Church at Pentecost to the Jews and to the nations. The Bible said that at Pentecost, Peter got up and used the key! Amen! He used the key to open the kingdom of God to the world of men. It then says that Peter went down to Joppa and used the key again. Every time Peter used the key, they who believed spoke in tongues.

Remember the principle which says that God was not speaking to Peter alone, but He was speaking to every “stone.” God is speaking to every Peter (every living stone in this spiritual house), and as you go forth you will open doors to the kingdom of God.

In Isaiah 35:8, we read, “And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it…fools, shall not err therein.”

It says that in the kingdom there is a “highway” and a “way,” and “…no fools shall err therein,” because it is “The way of holiness.” We have become the “way” through Jesus for some little child, for some adult, for some person out there. God has made you a way; a gate; an entering in; a path! You might be rubbing shoulders with them every day; and you might be the way which God has ordained for them to enter into the Kingdom.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, July 1997, pg. 11)

Thought for today: Let us thank the Lord Jesus for the “keys” and use them to open the Kingdom of heaven to those that God has put in our path.

Scripture reading: II Corinthians 10:3-6

We are now in the time when the devil will have his day; when the “man of sin” must come to his full (666); and the Christ to His fullness in a people who must grow “to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ref. Ephesians 4:13). We now pray, “Thank you, Lord, that the Kingdom is now coming within us.”

We know definitely that the deliverance is coming; it is coming WITHIN us. God is bringing to pass His holy Word. We are seeing it manifested through His people, right here in our congregations. God is fulfilling His word to us concerning our children. It may take trials and tribulations, and the travailing of a family, but as the Church travails she shall bring forth:

“For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children” (Isaiah 66:8).

Get your house in order! Get things straightened in your minds and in your hearts! Make up your mind who you will serve. Make up your mind that you are going to follow God and his righteousness. For the hour is come when the Lord is bringing first cleansing to the church.

How do you think we are going to rebuke the devils of hell if we ourselves have devils? We must get rid of familiar spirits. One time a brother from Germany preached and as he did, we could see that he was hitting at familiar spirits that have no boundaries. He was talking about the Prussian spirits, but the influence of the principalities and powers in the satanic realm spread their power over the whole world. Each person can speak of his or her own area and we will discover that all the nations (no matter what country we are from) exhibit the same tarnish of soul and demonic bondages. The Holy Ghost, however, is given of God to indwell our spirits so that these strongholds in our soul (our mind, emotions, will, and desires) can be broken and cast out, that Christ may reign within.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, April 1997, pg. 24-25)

Thought for today: Make up your mind that you are going to follow God and His righteousness and by the power of God pull down the strongholds in your soul.

Scripture reading: Hebrews 10:22-25

There are a lot of people who feel self-sufficient. Self-sufficiency is nothing more than a lie from the devil. The devil wants to isolate you in order to eat you. One night, I was watching the National Geographic channel, and I saw a lion attacking some animals. The lion seemed to be actually aiming at a special one (quite likely the weakest—the ones that were dropping back, and the loners). He passed by some of the strong ones. He did not touch them—they seemed to be too much trouble to handle and he seemed to be seeking the easiest way to get his meal. He is after that loner—that one that is dropping back. Whenever you are a loner, you are setting up yourself to be eaten by Satan. Whenever you withdraw from the assembling of yourselves together, you are setting up yourself to be destroyed (Hebrews 10:25).

We need to qualify the above statement: the key word is “yourselves.” You cannot assemble with people who are not walking in the truth, as the Lord shows it to you. God’s promise is that if anyone earnestly desires the truth, that the responsibility or onus is upon God to lead him/her to the truth. Therefore, if your heart is not satisfied with a fellowship, you should either find where God wants you to be, or find people around you to speak to about God. Sometimes He will allow you to be in a desert, because He wants you to allow the living waters in you to flow and make an oasis in that desert. The excuse of many is that they have nobody to fellowship with. This is not always true, because if God puts you in a wilderness, you will find that there are others out in the wilderness like yourself, and if your heart cries out to God the Holy Ghost will bring you together.

If you have a wife and you do not assemble with her, you cannot assemble with anyone else. You complain that you are lonely. Any time that union and that oneness is there between a wife and her husband, and you begin to pray together, you will bring down the kingdom of Satan, and a lot of people who are bound will be loosed by your prayer. They will come to you; they will meet you in the barbershop; they will meet you in the supermarket; they will meet you in the streets.

This is a strange tale, but I know of a circumstance, where two cars had to be bumped together in order for two certain people to meet. From that moment on, they became friends. (That was a Godly bump). I would not pray for such a meeting, but it seems that what was intended for evil, by the Spirit of the Lord turned out for the good.

God is beginning to bring His work into perspective. The attacks against you are not designed of God to hurt you, but to deliver you from some of your faults. God is cleaning his temple.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, April 1997, pg. 7-9)

Thought for today: Do not let the devil isolate you and make you feel self-sufficient. Assemble yourself with those who are the closest to you and bring down the kingdom of Satan so that many might be loosed by your prayers.
