Scripture reading: Isaiah 1:2

There is an indictment against the present church system. The reasons are following:

1) DIVINE ORDER is absent in the rule of our church government. Not Theocratic Rule as was God’s intention, but Democratic, Autocratic, Despotic, Plutocratic and even Totalitarian in some widespread instances. EVERYTHING OUTSIDE OF Divine Order is DISORDER, and the worst kind of disorder is an orderly disorder. Disorder which is deliberate and ordered is, in effect, a rebellion. This is exactly how God looks at it. “I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.” Isaiah 1:2.

2) The church system presents God to the world as a God that is slack concerning His promises, and one that is unable to rule His own household, by presenting themselves as His ambassadors while living in every type of sin in which the ungodly participate.

3) In doctrine they say that God is too good to judge and condemn sin, robbing themselves of the knowledge of their own judgment. This doctrine says that God is going to contaminate heaven with a lot of unwilling, self-willed, rebellious and sinful people who hate God and all His works. In doctrine, they distort heaven, making it a faraway dwelling place of spirits, yet with streets of natural gold and walls of natural jasper, upon some carnal, physical, faraway planet. They distort hell, making it nothing but a myth in one rendition, and in another they make it a hole in the ground, in spite of the hint given by the Word of God, “bottomless pit” (Revelation 9:2). A pit without a bottom is not a pit at all. That in itself shows that it is not a natural pit, since every natural pit, to be a pit, must have a bottom.

4) Finally, under the name of God, the churches occupy the most popular corners of every city, and under the guise of charitable organizations, transact business, buying and selling, usurping and lobbying for laws to be passed in all the legislatures of the world to facilitate their pursuit of power. Because of these and more, it is very evident in our time that the church system is at its lowest ebb, while some of the people of God are rising to their highest.

The logical conclusion is that somewhere in the near future, there must be a breakaway of the true Christian from the false church.

Scripture reading: Revelation 3:14-18

We are at present at the end of the age of the Laodicean church which is described in Revelation 3:15 as being “neither cold nor hot,” but “rich, increased with goods and having need of nothing.” This means that all the seven churches with all their rebellion have come together in one church. This is the picture of a church well settled in the world, being the richest institution on the face of the earth, and wielding political and economic power of great proportions. Spiritually, she is inept and sick unto death with divisions and sin. The doctor would say her condition is incurable. The modern church system has slipped into a quagmire of preaching one thing, and finding it totally impossible to practice its own preachings from the Bible. Thus something more like the generation gap exists, ever widening, between her and her Bible. Something has to give. Therefore the Church, instead of giving way to the Bible, has been trying to bend the Bible to the Church.

By 1991, many of the churches had changed their hymnals to suit the trends of the time. Some have printed a new Bible which puts God in the feminine, and now we see the “overspreading of abominations” (Daniel 9:27) in the holy place. This alerts us that there will soon be the desolations and then the consummation of which this passage speaks.

The difficulty is like dealing with a pernicious disease, for the Bible was never written for carnal men and CARNAL INTERPRETATION. To remedy this ailment, every major religion has either done it herself, or embraced a translation of the Bible which appears to support her position doctrinally. In spite of this, the Bible as a whole condemns these organizations of man. Men who lack godliness institute doctrine to bind their adherents. Thus in this late hour of time, we find an influx of translations, with some passages being made clearer, and at the same time, other passages being made darker, increasing the confusion. It is alleged that even the Communists made a Bible translation.

One POPULAR TRANSLATION changes all the figures in the Bible, bringing them to their English equivalent, thus destroying all their SYMBOLIC meanings. For instance, 12,000 furlongs translated to 1,500 miles destroys the symbolism of 12 with three zeros behind it to a meaningless figure. Not only this error, but others of a far-reaching nature such as errors of making a passage clearer according to the writer’s natural scope of understanding, when there is a spiritual understanding beyond the scope of the writer. Because of the number of men who translated and cross-checked the King James Version of the Bible, it does not carry any slant of any special doctrine for any particular group, whereas most of the other translations do carry such a slant.

Scripture reading: Psalm 91:9-10

I always used to wonder, “How can Brother Wilkerson give such words about destruction of New York and yet remain there?” Have you ever noticed it? He would give a word that New York was going to be destroyed; he saw the destruction going into New Jersey and yet he was sitting down right there in the middle of it. Why didn’t he move? But he finally gave us the reason – he believed God would put the shadow of His protection over certain people.

I remember one time a brother came to a certain place and prophesied over that place that it was a place of refuge. It means that the shadow of the Almighty will cover His people at midnight, in the darkness. But you must believe it! You may be sitting beside someone who is in the Holy Place or Holy of Holies while you are in the Outer Court. God said to leave the Holy Place and run for the Holy of Holies! That is why we sing “flee to the mountain top.” You could be sitting down beside someone in the Holy Place but if you are in the Outer Court, you will be wiped out and the person left sitting there.

I never forgot what happened to us in Nairobi, Kenya. We were there when the terrorists put a bomb in that government building and blew the whole building out. Only skeleton of it was left. But guess what? There was a desk that was left in the center of the room; everything else was gone only one desk sitting down there. That night we went to church and here comes this sister. She had a little scratch on her forehead. She was praising God because she had been sitting at her desk when the bomb blast killed everybody else around her; she was left alive. Amen.

I am saying that God is mighty to save. God is able, glorious, but guess what? You have to be in the Holy Place, you have to be in the Holy of Holies, the place of refuge. Do you know why? The place of refuge is obedience to the Spirit. If the Spirit of God tells you to run and you say, “Oh, no, I’ll sit down, God will take care of me,” then you are a goner; you are in the Outer Court. Do you understand? So then, the people who are righteous are not righteous because they are better than the other people who are not righteous. They are righteous because they are obeying God and the other person is not obeying God.

Scripture reading: Leviticus 16:13

God Almighty is speaking to a people at this time as never before. And He is saying that we are to be the ENOCH people. We are to be the people who go through the veil. We must go through the veil! Before the priest could go through the veil in the Tabernacle, he had to make an offering. This offering was different than the one that he made out in the Outer Court. Out in the Outer Court, he killed the lamb, or the bull, he took the blood and put it in a basin. He carried the blood with him. However, in the Holy Place he was not going to kill anybody’s lamb, he was not going to kill any bull. He was going to offer himself. He was offering himself for Israel, for the sin of Israel, and for his own sins. When he went into that Holy of Holies, he had to go in PURE. He took the incense, which is a type of the soul. Do you know that when the incense burns, it leaves no residue? It leaves no ashes, nothing. He took the incense and said, “LORD GOD, for my sins, and for the sins of Israel.” He put it on the fire and the cloud went up. The Bible says that he had to wait until it covered the Mercy Seat, lest he died (Leviticus 16:13). If you went in there and the smoke didn’t cover the Mercy Seat, you were a dead man. The priest had to wait until that cloud went in and covered the Mercy Seat. Then he went in and made his offering before God.

Now, if you can understand all of that, you will understand that your soul must be offered as a sacrifice before God before you have the Enoch experience of walking through the veil. We are to walk through the veil and still remain here on Earth. God has ordained that a people will go through the veil and experience the resurrection life. We are to experience the resurrection life and still remain here on the earth. Do you understand? The resurrection life that I am talking about is that when men come to you and want to kill you, you will dare them. “Go ahead! Kill me!” The day will come when somebody will kill you. And three days after the person kills you, they will look you in the eye and say, “WHAT? DIDN’T I KILL YOU?” And you will say, “YES! But now I am alive for evermore.”

Jesus took away the keys of death and hell (Revelation 1:18). So therefore, His sons cannot go into death and hell anymore. We have ascended beyond death and hell. Hallelujah! This is the place where God is bringing us. Today, God is asking a company of people to come in!

Scripture reading: 2 Peter 3:10-13

Many people say that God is going to burn up this earth and destroy this world and make a new world. Let us see what the Word of God is saying. First of all, is this world going to be destroyed? Psalm 104:5, “Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it SHOULD NOT BE REMOVED FOR EVER.” Psalm 78:69, “And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the EARTH WHICH HE HATH ESTABLISHED FOR EVER.” Isaiah 45:17, “But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an EVERLASTING SALVATION: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded WORLD WITHOUT END.” The same phrase is in Ephesians 3:21, “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, WORLD WITHOUT END. Amen.” Ecclesiastes 1:4, “One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but THE EARTH ABIDETH FOR EVER.” With so many scriptures saying one thing we must believe it, if we have faith and belief in the Word of God. We must believe then that the earth is abiding forever. The earth will remain forever; it will not be destroyed.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” What are we talking about? The word “EARTH” has three basic meanings. The natural earth or terra firma is the ground on which we stand and is called “earth” in the Bible. Worldliness is also called “earth,” and Man is called “highest” earth. Proverbs 8:26, “While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.” This verse means to say that the lowest earth would be the ground outside. Next would be the vegetable kingdom, and the next would be humanity which God called “the highest part of the dust.”

In the face of all this Word that the earth will not pass away, we can only think of two other earths that will pass away: worldliness (earthiness) and the man. The man will be changed, and there will be a new creation man. In that light, look again at this verse. “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”

Let us look at another scripture. In 2 Peter 3, Peter is speaking about the fire that will dissolve the earth, and he says in verses 10-13, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

This Word means that the earth, now as it exists, and the heaven, now as it exists, are not pleasing to God. What heaven? We have to consider the word “HEAVEN” again, because there are also different realms of heaven. There is the invisible realm of heaven and the heaven within the human being wherein God dwells; for wherever God dwells, it is heaven. Now, this is the heaven that God does not like and God is not pleased with, because in this heaven does not dwell righteousness only, for both righteousness and sin seem to be dwelling in the same vessel. God said that this condition must “pass away,” and there is going to be great fire on earth, and it “shall melt with fervent heat,” and it “shall pass away with a great noise.” There will be “new heavens…wherein dwelleth righteousness” only.

For further proof of this understanding, we look at the third verse in Revelation chapter 21. “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”

Where did I read this before? It seems to me that this is the great promise of God throughout the whole Bible. He says that at last it has come to pass – the Day of Atonement – “the tabernacle” – when God will tabernacle Himself within man. Verse 2 says that this is the great coming.

Let us go back to Revelation 21:2. “And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

Here is the answer. This “new earth,” this “new Jerusalem” is the “bride” of Christ which He is talking about. This “bride” of Christ is this “new Jerusalem” and is “a new heaven and a new earth.”

(Excerpt from The Book of Revelation, Volume 3, pages 118-120)

Thought for today: Let us strive to become this “bride” of Christ who is this “new Jerusalem” and is “a new heaven and a new earth.”
