Scripture reading: Hebrews 11:32-40

Brethren, we are at a place where God has shown us a problem. I will give you this vision that I had:

We were traveling on a road that ended; there was no charted road to where we were going. So then, we started going across fields and woodlands, and we were totally blocked by flood waters. Flood waters! The Scriptures in Revelation 12 said that Satan would cast out floods of waters out of his mouth to drown the woman church. We came to a point where we could go no farther, and God showed us that there is only one alternative. We had no choice! We had to go on higher ground! That was our only hope, because all the plain was covered with flood waters and we could not walk through the flood. We had to go on higher ground.

As we started going up the side of this steep mountain, there was a contour (you know, how they make roads on mountains—the contour on the mountainside). We could see that it might be a track that people would walk on before, but this was covered over with grass and weeds. (Nobody walked there for a long, long time). Do you hear me, brethren? Nobody walked there! We are going into uncharted country. We are being led into a place where there is no compass to guide us. There is no road to guide us. The Holy Spirit in us is going to guide us, and that is going to be our only way to go!

Turn with me to Hebrews 11. Let us look at the last two verses and see if this has some indication of what is happening. Verse 39, “And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise.” Do you know what promise he is talking about? “And I will walk in them and I will talk in them…and ye shall be My people and I shall be your God.” They received not the promise. Verse 40, “God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. In other words, these men overcame lions, they overcame all manner of evil that attacked them on earth, they were sawn asunder; some were killed in various ways, but none attained unto the stature of the overcomers that God must have in the end time!

What must these overcomers do? Let us turn to Revelation 12:7, “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

This is a mystery, but let me explain this simple mystery for you. You know that the Bible, the Word of God, was written in seven mysteries, and these seven seals were broken to us one by one. This mystery that God is talking about here is the serpent in heaven occupying this human body—this heaven that God must live in forever, that God must walk in and God must talk in, and God must reign in!

I heard you singing, and when you sang songs about Jesus Christ being King and reigning upon His throne, did you notice that there was life? Why do you think there was life? This is the word that God is saying to us: that He wants Jesus Christ alone to reign in this kingdom and that we must get the devil out! The devil must be cast out! God said He would send Michael, the archangel, the mightiest force in heaven. It is not that Michael “will” come, but Michael “is” here helping us in our infirmities. He is helping us to overcome the mighty devils that have been let loose, which were bound before but are now loosed and are giving us the hardest battle that mankind ever faced!

Thought for today: Remember, we are going into uncharted country where there is no road to guide us. Our only way to go is to be guided by the Holy Spirit in us.

Scripture reading: Jeremiah 31:31-34

In the book of Revelation, John saw all of us sitting here. John said he looked at the company of the overcomers and they were all worshiping the Lord. He saw you! Before you were born, he saw you, and you were worshiping the Lord; and God said, “It is good. Let them be birthed.”

So, we are born in various, different circumstances. Some of us were born in darkness: “Lord, when I think of the night… my soul… in the past! It was so dark; it was so terrible; it was so hopeless!” Yet, God said, “It is good!” For God saw the end of it.

Although I cannot see the end of it, I am rejoicing in the end of it, for I know that God is seeing it. He said that all them that He called, He perfected (Ref. Romans 8:29-30). He said He called you because He already perfected you! He knows what you are going to go through!

Today we are up against the Church’s greatest battle up to this point, and I believe there will be no greater when we overcome. The reason is that we are just a few years from the end of this age, and according to my understanding, after the end of this age, Christ must come forth and walk and talk in human flesh and blood. He must walk on the streets of the city and bring forth the glory of God; and mankind must see God walking through men! This is the promise. He said in Jeremiah 31:33, “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

This promise was made to Israel, and as God engrafted us into this Israel, we became a part of the promise. So God must, I say, God must bring forth this thing on earth before He finishes the job! He cannot finish this age until He has brought this thing to pass! God must be God, and we must be a kingdom of priests, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, and a peculiar people unto God (Ref. 1 Peter 2:9). You are not satisfied with what you are right now and I am not satisfied with what I am. Then, if we are not satisfied, God is not satisfied either!

Thought for today: Let us strive in our daily lives towards having God’s law written in our hearts.

Scripture reading: Jeremiah 31:33

Jeremiah 31:33 speaks of the handwriting of God in the heart of the believer. Revelation 14:1 says, “And I looked, and lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name (and I add here, and His name) WRITTEN IN THEIR FOREHEADS.” I added that because the Greek word in this instance is “tou patros autou” which means, “the name of the Father and of Himself.” The forehead depicts the mind.

The name of God is the important thing. The name or the nature of God written in the mind of the believer is that which is going to deliver him from the destruction of the tribulation. At this time, the believer is being given the opportunity of imbibing the nature of God within himself. This nature of God within him will repel the power of Satan and will stop the mark of the beast from ever being able to come to him. If God’s mark is His nature or His name in the forehead of the believer, then the devil’s mark in the forehead would be the devil’s nature or his name.

Revelation 13:16, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads.” Notice that God marks the people “in their foreheads,” but the devil will mark you either in your right hand or in your forehead.  The nature of Satan is being marked in the foreheads of the people. You avoid getting the mark of the devil by imbibing the Word of God, making the Word of God your life, loving God, and singing spiritual songs and hymns – by your whole nature being trained towards God and not towards the world.

The devil has all his tentacles coming through everything in the world and bombarding us. The music that he sends is designed to make you brutal and carnal and sinful. If you just watch the people operate under the power of the music, you will see the carnality and the brutality, like demons gyrating in the fires of hell. This is what I see when I see people dancing on the disco floor with lights flashing and the Satanic influence all around them. You can see Satan reaching the people through the music, through the rock, through the reggae, through the demonic music he has invented. He was the master of music. The schools are teaching a lot more than the 3 R’s. The children get carnality, sinfulness, sexuality, and demonic influence from the teachers. The teachers have been filled with psychology of demons and the people of God are exposed to it. May God have mercy, because all these children are being demonized.

If you think that I am radical, then you need to hear the truth. I am just barely touching on the various areas of influence. They demonize the very food we eat to bring us under the control of Satan. It affects the mind. The clothes we wear are all sexual enchanters’ clothes. Clothes used to mark a harlot. Now everybody wears harlot clothes. It is so popular and so common and people are so excited about wearing this kind of thing that you cannot even teach the people of God that the demons have made clothes for them. Demons make clothes to show off the body and to get people to lust and be in the lust market, the flesh market.

At this time, God is marking the people of God in their minds and He said that if you have the mark of God, you cannot have the mark of the devil. This is marvelous. If you receive the mark of Jesus Christ you will not be able to take the mark of the beast. If you are worldly, if you love the world and the things that are in the world, then you are going to be one of the foolish virgins.

(Excerpt from The Book of Revelation, Volume 1, pages 139-141)

Thought for today: Let us reject the devil’s mark and receive the mark of Jesus Christ by opening ourselves up to God and inculcating our minds with the Word of God.
