Scripture reading: Hebrew 11:6

I trust you remember that “virgins” in the Bible mean “Christians.” The “foolish virgins” in Matthew 25 are those who half-believe and half-don’t believe. In other words, they believe, but with a doubt. If you believe God, then why don’t you just believe Him? If you believe that God is God, why don’t you serve Him? Serving God is not running up and down the streets, telling people about Jesus and handing out tracts. To some people, that is serving God. In reality, even though it is part of it, it is the least of it. The greater part of serving God is to ALLOW the power of God to come into you (into God’s temple) to where you are a sanctified temple! When you allow God in, then God can do what He wants to do. You do not have to go all around telling everybody about Jesus. You do not have to go “doing” something.

For example, you went to minister the gospel in China. The day is going to come when we will walk through China, saying nothing at all. Not a word! Yet, breaking down the power of hell! Amen! Because the POWER of God will be coming through you! Hallelujah!

You have read of Charles Finney and men like him. I am not talking about those who you know, but I am talking about what you have heard about. Charles Finney went to a factory. As he walked through it, people fell from their seats and accepted Jesus without him saying a word.

Some people may say, “Well, we hear Brother duCille talk about God, but we have not known Him for ourselves.” But then, if you believe God, He will manifest Himself to you also.

Thought for today: Are you one of those who half-believe and half-don’t? Remember: if you believe God, He will manifest Himself to you!

Scripture reading: Hebrews 11:32-40

Brethren, we are at a place where God has shown us a problem. I will give you this vision that I had:

We were traveling on a road that ended; there was no charted road to where we were going. So then, we started going across fields and woodlands, and we were totally blocked by flood waters. Flood waters! The Scriptures in Revelation 12 said that Satan would cast out floods of waters out of his mouth to drown the woman church. We came to a point where we could go no farther, and God showed us that there is only one alternative. We had no choice! We had to go on higher ground! That was our only hope, because all the plain was covered with flood waters and we could not walk through the flood. We had to go on higher ground.

As we started going up the side of this steep mountain, there was a contour (you know, how they make roads on mountains—the contour on the mountainside). We could see that it might be a track that people would walk on before, but this was covered over with grass and weeds. (Nobody walked there for a long, long time). Do you hear me, brethren? Nobody walked there! We are going into uncharted country. We are being led into a place where there is no compass to guide us. There is no road to guide us. The Holy Spirit in us is going to guide us, and that is going to be our only way to go!

Turn with me to Hebrews 11. Let us look at the last two verses and see if this has some indication of what is happening. Verse 39, “And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise.” Do you know what promise he is talking about? “And I will walk in them and I will talk in them…and ye shall be My people and I shall be your God.” They received not the promise. Verse 40, “God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. In other words, these men overcame lions, they overcame all manner of evil that attacked them on earth, they were sawn asunder; some were killed in various ways, but none attained unto the stature of the overcomers that God must have in the end time!

What must these overcomers do? Let us turn to Revelation 12:7, “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

This is a mystery, but let me explain this simple mystery for you. You know that the Bible, the Word of God, was written in seven mysteries, and these seven seals were broken to us one by one. This mystery that God is talking about here is the serpent in heaven occupying this human body—this heaven that God must live in forever, that God must walk in and God must talk in, and God must reign in!

I heard you singing, and when you sang songs about Jesus Christ being King and reigning upon His throne, did you notice that there was life? Why do you think there was life? This is the word that God is saying to us: that He wants Jesus Christ alone to reign in this kingdom and that we must get the devil out! The devil must be cast out! God said He would send Michael, the archangel, the mightiest force in heaven. It is not that Michael “will” come, but Michael “is” here helping us in our infirmities. He is helping us to overcome the mighty devils that have been let loose, which were bound before but are now loosed and are giving us the hardest battle that mankind ever faced!

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, July 2000, pg. 28-29)

Thought for today: Remember, we are going into uncharted country where there is no road to guide us. Our only way to go is to be guided by the Holy Spirit in us.

Scripture reading: Hebrews 11:32-35

Another two thousand years had passed since the Flood and humanity had forgotten the judgment of God. Sin and violence had increased, as also the population of the world, far beyond that of Genesis 6. From Nimrod to the Roman Empire, the art of war and human dominion had come a far way. Evil had a firm grip upon humanity; so firm a grip, in fact, that Satan himself thought he was a winner:

Luke 4:6-7, “And the devil said unto Him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.”

From both the carnal mind and the satanic thinking, they could not see any way how God would redeem the situation. The world was again in CRISIS and again total destruction was possible. What would God do? Jehovah (Yaweh), the Almighty, sent His only begotten Son into the mess. He gave Him a flesh and blood body, and the plan of God to rescue Adam’s fallen race. God (who could not be tempted nor suffer weakness) had for the first time exposed Himself to weakness, temptation, and human frailty.

With millions of people in the Earth filled with the devil, Jesus Christ took twelve men and gave them the word of life. The strength of the SEED was so great that it brought light into the world of darkness, totally shattering Satan’s plan of total dominion. Satan’s counter-attack came through the very instrument which God had crafted to kill him. He seduced the Church and contaminated it with false doctrines, human doctrines and sorcery. She lost the power to destroy evil, being incorporated with evil herself, BUT God always retained for Himself a REMNANT.

The Remnant are Sons of God who are hardy and will not bow under the most trying circumstances. They comprise of men and women who are not afraid to die, and love the Lord more than their lives. In Noah and his family God found such a remnant. In Moses and his followers God found this remnant. In Abraham God found this remnant:

Hebrews 11:32-35, “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection.”

We can see then that in the midst of the second world crises, God sent His Son to shatter Satan’s plan and prepare the way for His Remnant.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, August 1987)

Thought for today: The seed that brought light into the world of darkness two thousand years ago still has the same strength to shine His light into the darkness today.

Scripture reading: Hebrews 11:3

It says in Hebrews 11:3 that God made the worlds through faith. I don’t know if we can really understand it. It is so vast, and so terrible, and big. Look what is up there. Jupiter is so large that three meteorites the size of the Earth flew into its side and only left three little holes in it. That is how big the planet Jupiter is. They said they saw a planet out in the space that is the size of between the Earth and the sun, 90 million miles across. It is God we are talking about! And He said that by faith all these things were built; meaning to say, God believed it, and God spoke it, and it was done.

Try it, brethren. Begin to try little things. Just exercise your faith. The more you exercise it, the bigger it is going to become. You need it now, because you are going to have to have faith in the coming years to be delivered from what is coming on the earth.  Amen.

I was listening to a man one day. He said the Lord showed him that the Christians should get out of debt. I said, “How could we get out of debt when we all have to live in houses?” We all have to buy our cars and by the time you buy a car and finish paying for it, it is about ready for you to buy another one. So you will always be paying for a car. This man said he asked God the same thing and God answered to him, “If you believe, it will happen. Little by little, the money will come, and when it comes, put it against that debt.” As you put it against that debt, he said it is going to pay it off. He showed several people who it happened to. I believe him. I believe if you believe God, you put that first. You don’t say, “But Lord, how can I do it? I don’t have this money and I am only getting so much.” Not necessary. Just believe God and say, “God, do this for me. I do not want to owe this debt. I put it in your hands.” And every money He gives you to pay it, pay it off, and see what happens. May God help us to really reach out and take ahold of that substance that is called faith.

Let us pray: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You to thank You that You have given us all things in Christ Jesus, and that there is nothing that we want to serve You with that we cannot have. Many of us are sick in our bodies and we are going to put this before You first. We are asking that your body of people might receive divine health. Divine health, Your plan, Your purpose, Your will, and those of us who have an ailment, we need divine healing. Let it be, Lord God. Break the power of sickness from the people of God. LOOSE! AMEN! This is what we believe. Send this power across the world tonight, and break the power of sickness in the lives of the people of God, amen! You said that when the plague came, it would not take us. You said that those who dwell in the land of Goshen were delivered from the plagues of Egypt. There was no plague in Goshen. But, Lord God, when the plague comes, it takes the Christians as well as the sinners. We are asking You now, Lord God, as we reach out in faith, that You will break the power of these different plagues and sicknesses that are going across the land. Save Your people, Lord God! We ask it in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Scripture reading: Romans 4:5

I wonder how many of you realize that in order for you to overcome the spirits in your life, you have to take two steps. First, you have to believe for faith is the substance of everything you hope for (Hebrews 11:6). Then, you have to speak the word. Do you realize that many of us have problems because we speak the wrong things? You are in trouble, somebody is bothering you, you have a distress, you let certain words come out of your mouth, and the devils crowd around. The moment the words come out, the devils take them as a command, and they can do things in your name that you never intended to do. You must learn to speak the positive word! It is looking dark, it is looking hopeless, but you speak the word, and say, “I shall live and not die. I shall overcome this thing.” Keep speaking it every day. “I shall overcome this thing.” You fall down flat on your face, “I am going to overcome this thing! By the grace of God, by the Blood of Jesus Christ.” The moment you speak the words, God sends His angels to be with you. The next time you will have a better chance, you will find the strength to do it. Amen.

I am talking about 50 years of learning. Fifty-odd years of learning from God. I am giving it to you free. One day, I put my finger on the welding iron. I smelled the flesh burning even before I realized that my finger was on the iron. I grabbed the finger and said, “In the name of Jesus, it shall not hurt me!” I don’t know where the words came from. I didn’t contemplate it before, but I just said it. And no pain! I got happy, and bold, and wanted to show my wife, Mavis, the finger burnt. I didn’t want the finger to be healed right away, I wanted to show her! So I ran inside with the burnt finger, and said, “Look here!” I was ashamed. No burnt finger at all! I am talking about the power of creation that God has put in every little one of you. Don’t go around thinking, “Lord, how sinful I am, how poor I am.” Don’t think about that! God knows that! Begin to speak the Word of life and life will come forth. Amen.

When you have an infirmity, get before the mirror in the mornings and say, “By the grace of God, this infirmity shall be healed. I shall overcome.” You must overcome it. Do you know why? Because you are speaking what God wants. God doesn’t want you to be sick. God doesn’t want you to have infirmities. God wants you to be well, God wants you to be happy. Amen! Don’t you understand? Because you believe God, He said, He will count it for righteousness (Romans 4:5). You try your best, but you are not righteous. But God says, if you believe Him, He will count you just like a righteous person. He will do everything for you like He would do for a righteous person. Can you understand? Look at all these men – Abraham, David… God said David was a man after His own heart (Acts 13:22). A man after God’s own heart going out and committing adultery and murder? But he was a man after God’s own heart. His heart was belonging to God. The devil took hold of his flesh. He didn’t have Jesus, so don’t believe I am telling you that you can do that. He didn’t have Jesus. But then, even those of us who have Jesus and fail, God is still saying to us, “All power is given unto me, in heaven and on earth. Now, you go preach the gospel” (Matthew 28:18-19).

Do you understand what that means? It means that if you turn your mind to believing God, the things that you believe will come to pass and it will make you righteous. Oh, yes! We believe God that we are going to be perfected while we are alive in this flesh. That’s what I believe in God. I believe God that I can stay ten minutes without sin. Do you think that you could do that? Stay ten minutes without sin? If I can stay ten minutes without sin, then I can stay twenty. And if I can stay twenty, I can stay an hour. And if I can stay an hour, then I can stay a day without sin. He will keep them in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3). So then, it means that we sin with our minds. The body only manifests what is in the mind. We sin, therefore, with our minds. So, God is saying that if you keep God in your heart, in your mind, you will be free from sin.
