Scripture reading: Genesis 1:26-31

Many times I ask God, why He made us spirit, soul, and body. If we were just a spirit, then we would be all right, we would be perfect. If we were just a soul, then we would be like animals, we would have no use but to eat, drink, be merry, and die. If we were all body, it would be the same. God, however, said that He made us after His image, and He is making us in His likeness. That means, we were made and we are being made. We are not yet completed.

The one marvelous and wonderful thing about God that we can rejoice in is that God sees the beginning and the end together. He actually creates the end before He creates the beginning. That is, the result that He wants here, He creates a beginning to match the end. So, looking at your whole life, God has the beginning and the end right before Him, and He is looking at it! God knows where all of us are going to end up, and yet, because He is God, He still ministers to us; and He gives us the opportunity to change our course and change our lives, change our ending, although He knows what we are going to do. That is crazy (but wonderful), isn’t it?

Therefore, we are dealing with a God Who knows us in a way that we do not know ourselves, and He said that one day we will know as we are known (1 Corinthians 13:12). That is, we will know ourselves as He knows us.

He says that we are coming to a place spoken of in the book of Revelation as the “sea of glass.” Have you ever wondered what the sea of glass is in the tabernacle, or the temple? We are coming to the sea of glass wherein there will be nothing hid. Where, if you are at the bottom, you can look right through to the top! We will be able to see all through each other!

I think of Jesus, and as I think of Him, my heart goes out to Him as a man. He must have really suffered! Do you know that? Imagine, He is talking to a person and He sees what is in the person’s mind. He can see that the man is talking to Him one thing with his mouth, but his mind is saying another thing! Jesus had to bear it. Praise God. You talk about bearing our infirmities!

We go to pray, “Oh God! Help us please, Lord God…” and then we go to sleep, or other things begin to come across our mind. He sees all kinds of trash coming across the mind. He is preaching the Word to people, and while He is preaching the Word, they are saying, “Yes, yes! Amen!” Yet, their minds are saying, “I forgot the pot on the fire at home.”

God showed me that the men He has called are prone to distractions and to being turned off track because of the various cross influences that are like waves of the sea washing over them night and day. Can you see the fragility? Can you see how fragile we are in the presence of a God who knows all things? Then I went and said, “Thank you, God! Thank you that You did not tell me what tomorrow will be. Thank you that I am foolish and do not know what next year is going to bring, because I would start suffering from this year for the suffering of next year! I would start suffering today for the suffering of tomorrow! But, today I am glad because I am ignorant.”

God is glad, not because of tomorrow, but because of the end. When God made Adam, He said, “It is good!” (Genesis 1:31). He looked at him and His heart rejoiced, “This Adam is good!” He made him good. He knew that the man was going to fall the next day, but He did not tell Adam. He was just being good with him, and Adam was rejoicing and being good. Do you know why God rejoiced at the goodness of Adam? He rejoiced because He saw the Adam at the beginning and He saw the Adam at the end, and there was an improvement. So He said, “It is good!” He did not care too much about what happened in between, for the Adam that God made is good.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, July 2000, pg. 26-27)

Thought for today: Let us remember that God continues to ministers to us and give us the opportunity to change our course and change our lives, change our ending. Let us make use of this opportunity and reach the end that He has in mind for us.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 35:5-10

Apostle Peter said in Matthew 16:16, “Thou art the Christ...,” and Jesus replied to him in verse 19, “…I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven...” After Jesus said this to Peter, Peter went and opened up the Church at Pentecost to the Jews and to the nations. The Bible said that at Pentecost, Peter got up and used the key! Amen! He used the key to open the kingdom of God to the world of men. It then says that Peter went down to Joppa and used the key again. Every time Peter used the key, they who believed spoke in tongues.

Remember the principle which says that God was not speaking to Peter alone, but He was speaking to every “stone.” God is speaking to every Peter (every living stone in this spiritual house), and as you go forth you will open doors to the kingdom of God.

In Isaiah 35:8, we read, “And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it…fools, shall not err therein.”

It says that in the kingdom there is a “highway” and a “way,” and “…no fools shall err therein,” because it is “The way of holiness.” We have become the “way” through Jesus for some little child, for some adult, for some person out there. God has made you a way; a gate; an entering in; a path! You might be rubbing shoulders with them every day; and you might be the way which God has ordained for them to enter into the Kingdom.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, July 1997, pg. 11)

Thought for today: Let us thank the Lord Jesus for the “keys” and use them to open the Kingdom of heaven to those that God has put in our path.

Scripture reading: 1 Peter 2:4-5

Let us read about what God says of a people whom He is calling. Matthew 16:18, “And  I say also unto thee (Peter), That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church…

I am not Peter and you are not Peter. So, who are you? You are one of those “lively stones” built up into a spiritual household as it says in 1 Peter 2:5.

You are “a stone!” You are “Peter!” So, “Peter – thou stone,” you are part of this magnificent building that God is constructing in the earth; and this building must have a foundation! The foundation must be upon the Rock, Christ Jesus. “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

I know what it is to call upon the name of Jesus Christ – “in spirit and in truth.” The time you call best is when you have ten tons of demons on you. That is the time you really call: “JESUS!” That is the time you cry out best. I am speaking from experience.

Matthew 16:17, “And Jesus answered and said unto him, blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”

No matter how I preach, I cannot reveal the “name” of Jesus to you. It must be a part of you! You must imbibe it! You must think about it! You must believe it! You must take it in NIGHT AND DAY! He said, “Put it as frontlets before thine eyes, and let it become a part of you.” I will change this word “name” to “nature,” for that is what it means, and as this name (nature) becomes a part of you, you become a part of Him.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him …If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto (in) him and make our abode with (within) him” (John 14:21, 23).

When is He going to love you with that kind of a love?

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him.”

“IF you will keep my words,” …and “IF my words abide in you…” Do you understand it? Anything you continuously think about, anything you do, anything you study it becomes a part of you! Glory to God!

This is why I say to the people of God that there is grave danger in studying psychology! We should not allow the world to teach us and our children man’s psychology in their schools. Psychology is destruction to the mind of Christ. God is a Spirit and He created man as a spiritual being and the mind as His dwelling place through which He can communicate with us, Spirit to spirit. Psychology is a science that deals with the mind and the behavior of man from a human point of view. Some of you, my readers, are bound by this spirit. Psychology is a demonic thing when man teaches man about man! You meet a person, and because you studied psychology, you keep looking into his eyes. You ask him a shocking statement, “Did you steal the book?” and you look into his eyes. You want to see his reaction.

Once the children of God studied psychology, it is difficult for them to get away from it and trust the discernment of the Spirit. It is difficult to get away from physiognomy. You look at a person’s face, you see the different marks in his face, and you begin to sum him up from the marks in his face! He might have just gotten saved but all those marks remain there. Their meaning might have been canceled by the Holy Ghost and now they have no meaning, but you are believing a lie because you are trusting what science says about those facial marks.

I now speak the word in the name of Jesus Christ! I loose you from the psychology spirit that is in many of you, that you are learning at school. I command your deliverance in the name of Jesus!

I break your yoke, you lying spirit! Get out of the church of God! Get out of the house of God! Get out of the temple of the living God! There is no place here for you. You have long occupied the people. You have long deceived the nations. Now your time has come. In the name of Jesus Christ, I speak against you, in the mighty name of Jesus, and by the power of God, we break up your organization; that organized spirit that is coming into the people, creeping into the church! That demon of the world, that has crept in among the people of God and into the minds of the people, into the houses of preachers, into churches and Sunday schools; this demonic psychology that is destroying the people – let the people go…!

I am a little stone, but part of the household of God. We are “lively stones fitly joined together,” building up the temple of the living God.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, July 1997, pg. 8-11)

Thought for today: As we remember that we are part of this magnificent building that God is constructing in the earth, let us purge ourselves from all man’s teachings and have the Spirit of God lead us in our daily affairs.

Scripture reading: Luke 22:42

The soul of man is the prize of God. This is the one earthly item which we definitely know that God desires more than all others. Gold, silver, lands, cattle, angels? No! The soul of man is the great prize. When this is won, then all creation is won. God DESIRES SONS, not robots, not beings compelled to worship Him, but sons who willingly lay at His feet all the goodness He gave to them.

Luke 22:42 says, “Not my will, but thine, be done.”

Gifts from the Spirit of God are to be given back to God. God is not making man independent of Himself, but by His goodness being poured out upon us, He is drawing us to Himself. There is nowhere else where the goodness of God can be MAXIMUM EFFECTIVE, but in the hand of God. Do you use God or does God use you? God is His own administrator and when man acquires the attributes of God and uses them for self, he is usurping authority.

There is another classic example in the Bible in Revelation 4:10 and 11, “The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

Here the beasts represent the souls of men changed from the beast nature to the nature of the Christ. They took off their crowns, came off their thrones, fell down before Jesus Christ, and worshipped Him.

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power.”

This is what they say surrendering to Him all the power and glory He gave them by His Blood and sacrifice. This loudly suggests that they will not be their own, but forever be His and part of Him who redeemed them.

According to the promises of the Lord, we are to be made priests and kings. Revelation 4 shows this situation, when man is at last made priest and the soul is inhabited by the King Jesus Christ, thus, we also become kings. Even as Jesus surrendered all power and authority to the Father, and submitted Himself to the ignominy of the cross, so also the sons of God, true to pattern, surrender their crowns and their priesthood to Him who redeemed them. A very beautiful picture indeed.

(Excerpt from The Pattern, pg. 127-128)

Thought for today: The Great God and Creator of all is asking such a small thing of us – to give ourselves to Him. In return we get all of God! Do not let this life and the cares of this world rob you, but submit to God and trust Him today so that you may receive joy that is unsurpassed!

Scripture reading: 1 Peter 1:19-25

We can see that the term “without spot or blemish” (as stated in 1 Peter 1) speaks of a soul as the lamb of old without any scar or tarnish of sin, which has been thoroughly cleansed of God, emptied of self, and offered to its Maker for His use. It is possible that a person can reach the stage right HERE AND NOW, where he or she does not sin with his mind, neither with his or her emotions, neither with the will, nor with the desire. When you are in this condition, then you only need to make sure that your motive for all this was not SELF. Self-PRESERVATION could easily make a man get so smart with His God that he would submit and do all he needs to do. If self-anything is our motive, then self is still alive. All our motive must be GOD AND GOD ALONE. God’s people, God’s plan, God’s will. Lost, utterly lost in God, and absolutely rejecting that which we knew to be the thing called self. When Adam fell, his thought pattern fell. Now we rise. Our thought pattern must rise.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, SO IS HE.” Proverbs 23:7.

The Christ cannot be fully resurrected from within us until we are dead in Him. Death of the seed precedes the life of the new plant. If Jesus cleanses us of all sin, then, praise God, we should reach the point where sin is completely driven out of our soul nature, and the divine nature is being formed within. Without spot or blemish… blameless.

Wherever men of faith dwell, and wherever men live by faith, the name Abraham becomes a beacon and a sign post to them.

Genesis 22:2, “And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; And offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.” Verse 4, “Then on the THIRD DAY Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.” Verse 6, “And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.” Verse 10, “And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.” Verse 11, “And the Angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, ABRAHAM, ABRAHAM: and he said, Here am I.”

The angel had spared Isaac by his intervention, BUT had slain the self-life of Abraham. How significant it is that all this took place on a mountain which was afterwards the site of the temple built by Solomon (see 2nd Chronicles 3:1). The site is City of Zion, the stronghold of the people of God, and a SYMBOL of God’s elect in the end of this age. This was also the same spot where the threshing floor of Ornan stood, where David offered the sacrifice to God and saved Israel from a terrible plague. Today, the spot is covered by the Dome of the Rock and the El Aksa Mosque, a Moslem house of worship.

God, the same today as He was yesterday and shall be forever, required from Abraham the same sacrifice of self which He requires of us today. With the greater knowledge and more ABUNDANT LIFE which we have received, we will automatically give more when we give all. “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required” (Luke 12:48). All of a bucket is different from all of a well, and yet the sacrifice is the same.

(Excerpt from The Pattern, pg. 126-127)

Thought for today: Let us empty ourselves of us as we let God thoroughly cleanse us, and let us commit to do the will of OUR FATHER!
