Scripture reading: Revelation 19:1

Salvation has come, “and GLORY.It is peculiar that it should say “glory.” In the prayer in John 17:5, the Lord Jesus thanked the Father for giving Him the glory. Then in verse 22 He said, “And the GLORY which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.” In the Old Testament, Moses came down from the mountain and his face shone with the glory of God. Alleluia! This glory had come in the physical so that when men saw Moses they had to cover their faces so that the shining from his face did not hurt them. What physically happened? I can tell you at least a part of it. As Moses stood in the presence of God (though God had to hide Himself so that Moses could even stand there), the energy, life, power, and radiation from God came upon Moses. Something more than radiation came from God. It was the LIFE and the ENERGY and the POWER of God which came into Moses and shone from him. Notice, it wore off; it shone for a while and then it wore off.

When Jesus rose from the grave, there were two angels in white apparel and their faces were shining. A kind of glow came from them. The sisters saw the angels and the angels gave them the message about Jesus. In Revelation 1:16c John described Jesus Christ “and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.” Matthew 13:43, “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”

Luke 9:28-31, “And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he (Jesus) took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.” Here heaven and earth met together and there was a great shining, a glory that came out of Jesus Christ, and His countenance was altered. He became glowing and glorious, like an angel of God.

This glory is not just for Moses and those special people mentioned in the Bible, because in Romans 8:17 Paul speaks of this glory. “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also GLORIFIED together.” This glory, this power of God, this indwelling of the Almighty in His fullness is that which lifts the human being from the earthly realm into the heavenly realm. We could be on the moon or on the sun and it would not make any difference. Humanity would then be lifted to this heavenly realm. The voices in heaven were saying that the glory has come; that glory which they were seeking, which they were waiting for, HAS COME.

(Excerpt from The Book of Revelation, Volume 3, pg. 9)

Thought for today: The glory HAS COME which will lift us from the earthly realm into the heavenly realm.

Scripture reading: 1 Timothy 2:5

When you embrace righteousness and holiness, you want it at all times. You are not a Sunday Christian, or a Christian on Fridays alone, or one who has set fasting days on which you are holy. Any kind of a day worship, or an Easter and Christmas worship, is Babylonish. It is religion mixing in with what should have been pure Christianity. This mixing is called Babylon. So God asks us to come out of her. He wants us to come out of the system that perpetrates these things, that believes in these things, that calls certain acts of charity and good deeds a symbol of righteousness. Some believe that if you belong to certain groups, churches, or parties, then you are all right. God wants men to come out of a system that substitutes man in the place where Christ should be: where you confess your sins to a man, and a man gives you forgiveness for your sins, and you go out again and sin.

This sort of a situation is in some churches. Other churches say that they do not believe in that, but they do the same thing. They put a man before God. Scripture declares that there is no mediator, no priest, between God and man. God says He will bring us into priesthood, that is, when we are perfected and are like Christ. We are not priests now in that God does not require us to stand between Christ and his sheep as co-shepherds. We are supposed to lead the sheep to Christ and not to ourselves. The sheep will not be able to see Christ when we stand between Christ and them.

(Excerpt from The Book of Revelation, Volume 2, pages 168-169)

Thought for today: Let us not lead the sheep to ourselves, but let us lead them to Christ so that they may be able to see Him.

Scripture reading: Matthew 13:5-9

Let us look at Matthew 13:5-6 today. Jesus says here that the Word (the seed) will fall on a certain soil, and it will spring up strong and powerful but when the sun comes up, it withers and dies. Why? It was because it was on “stony” ground. We have to understand that Jesus is talking about the heart condition. If your heart is a stony place and it does not have any depth of earth, you will not be able to bring forth fruit. What do we mean when we speak of “fruit” coming from the Word? “Fruit” is when you hear the Word of God, and the Word of God changes you inside! If the Word of God does not change you, it is wasted word.

Now, the Word says further in Matthew 13:7-8 that there is another seed that “fell among thorns.” Presently it grew strong and beautiful, but the thorns were also growing; and then the thorns grew up and “choked” the Word. It brought forth no fruit. What does it mean? Do you have a thorny heart? You come to the meeting to get a blessing, and as the word goes forth, you receive it with gladness. Your heart witnesses that it is the truth, but you have some unfulfilled business with somebody who you have hated bitterly. You just cannot love that person. That is a “thorn.” It will grow up and choke the word, and you will not be able to live a Christian life and grow in the Spirit; and you will wonder, “Why am I not growing in the Spirit?” It is because there is a thorn bush growing in your life.

The thorn might be something else. It might be a “love” affair. I hate to call it love. It is not really love at all. It is an “emotional dysfunction.” You have an emotional dysfunction wherein you think you are in love with somebody, and it continues and disrupts your life. It disrupts the life of God inside of you, so that when you receive the Word of God you cannot bring forth fruit. There is something wrong in the emotions.

Another thing I have noticed is that the young people do not seem to have the “will” to serve God. It blesses me when we sing the song, “Thou lovest righteousness and hatest wickedness….” Do you hate wickedness? Do you really, really hate wickedness? Do you hate wickedness so much that you say, “God I do not want to have anything to do with wickedness! If this thing is wickedness, I will not do it!”

A “little white lie”—this is what we call it. WICKEDNESS! A yellow lie, a pink lie, a blue lie (whatever we would call it)—it is wickedness! We give it all kinds of names, but it is wickedness! Just a little bit of dishonesty here, just a little deception there. You say a word that is meant to deceive the other person to make him think so and so, but it is not what you meant; and you say, “I spoke the truth!” Sure, you did speak the truth, but you fixed it in such a way that it deceives the other person. It is wickedness!

“Thou lovest righteousness and hatest wickedness” (Psalm 45:7).

I say, “My God, I LOVE righteousness! I HATE wickedness! Let me hate it more! Let me hate it! Let me so despise it, that if I am touched by it, I must get cleansed immediately!”

If you take up a sheep and throw him into the mud, he gets up and is uncomfortable. He is rubbing himself everywhere, trying to find some way to get the mud off of him. He is not a mud creature. But if you take a pig and throw him in the mud, he rolls over and says, “Thank you.” He loves it! He could stay there all day. He has a different nature. But we have to remember: God loves righteousness and hates wickedness!

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, December 1997, pg. 3-4)

Thought for today: Let this be our prayer today: “My God, I LOVE righteousness! I HATE wickedness! Let me hate it more! Let me hate it! Let me so despise it, that if I am touched by it, I must get cleansed immediately!”

Scripture reading: Romans 8:2

God designed various Laws of Redemption for the deliverance of His people. But laws, when put in the converse, become detrimental to the very people that they were designed to deliver. Thus, we see Satan turning the word of God backwards in order to hurt humanity. Some Satanists even learn to read the Bible backwards; they even walk backwards as part of their training.

For years we were baffled by the vulnerability of Christians to satanic bedevilments even as sinners are. This particularly baffled me, when in our ministry all over the world we found Christians who loved the Lord with all their hearts and who were greatly dedicated to God still having severe satanic oppressions and needing deliverance. As God continued to reveal Himself to us, we gradually began to understand the situation. At the outset, let me say that it does not necessarily mean that a Christian has committed some sin to be bound by the enemy:

1. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior and submits to the Spirit of God, he comes under the law of Romans 6:16, and becomes a servant of God. The Blood of Jesus Christ redeems him, and all the covenants that he had made with Satan are broken. Nevertheless, his redemption is complete only in the Word of God, but in his soul he remains imperfect. That which he has received now in the Word of Almighty God and in his spirit must work its fulfillment in his soul and body. He becomes a covenant child of God. As a covenant people, we are required to keep our part of the covenant. God now lays claim to us as His property, bought and paid for.

2. The covenant that we had with Satan and sin has been broken by the covenant we now make with the Lord. Romans 8:2 say, “For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

The covenants we had with devils were made null and void by our covenant with the Lord. But immediately the devils begin to try to get us to submit again to them, in order to apply Romans 6:16, so as to restrict if not altogether rescind our covenant with the Lord. Because of our imperfection, we find ourselves in constant danger of obeying devils instead of the Lord.

Let me tell you a story. There was a day when I told the Lord that I could not find anything wrong with me. In order to prove my unrighteousness, He told me to watch my members that day. When I got to the office there was a piece of chip on the ledge. A suggestion came to my mind to kick the chip off the ledge. Immediately the pride of being a good soccer player with a powerful right foot came into me, and I succumbed to the temptation and kicked the chip like I was placing a ball into the goal. The chip sailed around the corner and slammed into a man’s left eye. In one moment of light banter, I had become the servant of the devil. This was a small act of obedience to the enemy that gave him the right over me. Of course, I repented immediately, and denied Satan any further manipulation. But let me give you a more serious scenario:

Suppose there was someone I know who was worshipping the devil and I reproved him of his devil worship and told him I would have nothing to do with it, but because he is a near kin of mine, I would from time to time give him money to help him along. This money he would use to strengthen himself in his worship of the devil. Would I be guilty of aiding the work of the devil? The answer is yes! The devil is not concerned with what you thought you were doing. He claims his right over you because you participated with one of his servants.

God is in a process of completing our redemption. Yet, this cannot be done without a massive worldwide tribulation. The church will not voluntarily come to that standard of righteousness that God requires. At this time, when we pray for revival, it is actually a prayer for judgment. In Isaiah 26:9 is stated as divine wisdom that people in tribulation learn righteousness. Most men will call on God when they are in trouble, thus trouble is a necessity for some men’s righteousness.

To the watchmen I say, “It is time to sound the alarm.” To the sleeping, I say, “It is time to awake.” To those who are awake, I say, “It is time to trim your lamps.” To the foolish virgins, “It is time to get oil. The bridegroom is on his way.”

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, January 1993, pg. 10-11, 23, 25)

Thought for today: Let us hold fast to the words of Jesus, “When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

Scripture reading: James 2:17-24

I remember when I was a young Christian, we used to go from house to house, and ask, “Can you give me something to do today? I want to clean up your yard or something like that, and you can give me an offering for my church.” So we went and worked and in the evening everybody came in with what they had earned. The sweat of my body… This body is the temple of the living God and anything I use it to do for God is well pleasing with Him!

One of the things I must do is to obey God with my substance. Yes! I lay my substance down. We are talking about the Altar of Incense in the Holy Place where man lays his soul down before God, and says, “God, take it.” The Bible tells us that if the smoke goes up, God accepts it. If the smoke goes down, the priest dies right there at the Golden Altar; he is not going to make it to the Holy of Holies. He is going to die right there in the Holy Place where God is asking you to offer your soul. When you are half in and half out, you offer to God an unclean soul. You are half for the world and half for God! Is it Hollywood that is motivating us, or is it heaven? Are we going to continue to do the things that we believe are righteousness? WE MUST BE RIGHTEOUS NOW! Believe me, we must go to God and weep and pray and say, “Lord God, I do not know what to do. I do not know where to go. I do not know how to go. I cannot walk without You! I cannot talk without You! I need you Jesus!” Weep between the porch and the altar, according to the Word of God, UNTIL GOD SPEAKS! And when He tells you what to do, you have a peace inside. You do it because you have a peace inside. Hallelujah!

Brethren, think of Abraham. Abraham believed God. “Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness” (Genesis 15:6, Romans 4:3, Galatians 3:6, James 2:23). That is how you are going to get righteousness. The only way you are going to get holy and righteous is by believing God.

Take your mind off yourself! Take your mind off marriage—who you are going to marry, and where, and how, and when. Take your mind off the things of the world. Jesus said in the parable of the seed and the sower, “And some (seeds) fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit” (Mark 4:7). Have you ever considered why you are not bringing forth fruit? Why are we not bringing forth fruit? We should be a fruitful tree that hangs over to the ground with fruit that people would be coming from everywhere to taste of the fruit of Zion that comes from the people of God. WHY ARE WE NOT BRINGING FORTH FRUIT?

Worse than that, we are bringing forth bad fruit! Yes! Brethren are getting up and using their tongue for sin. God heals you. God delivers you from death. God preserves your life. He keeps you. Is it for the purpose that you might then take your tongue to slander God’s people? To slash the people of God? God is displeased with the work of the tongue IN HIS PEOPLE.

However, there is a people in this last hour who must go to the high road; who must climb the mountain; who must overcome! And it depends on YOU whether you will be among those people or not. Hallelujah! Because, if you fail God, God will get someone else who will not fail.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, November 1999, pg. 11-12)

Thought for today: Weep between the porch and the altar, according to the Word of God, until God speaks. And when He tells you what to do, do it!
