Scripture reading: John 1:9

We thank God for bringing us to a table again where we can really feast upon His Word. It is not everybody who can feast upon God’s Word. Some people are so sick spiritually, that no matter how loud God shouts to them, they will not hear. But blessed are they that can hear, that have ears to hear. Jesus said, “Let him hear.” Thank you, Jesus. We are very, very happy to be in a position like this, with appetites for the Word of God and ability to hear. Hallelujah. In this last day, the difference between those who perish and those who overcome will be the ears, spiritual ears, whether you can hear God or not.

I have been praying to God and asking him about what is going to happen to all these Muslims, all these Hindus, all these people who believe in false doctrines. The Lord asked me, “What is going to happen to all those Christians who believe in false doctrines?” The same thing that is going to happen to the false doctrine Muslim is going to happen to the false doctrine Christians.

Now you may ask, “What is going to happen?” God is going to reach out with His mercy to them. Oh yes! God will reach His mercy out to them. God’s mercy will be offered to them just like He is offering it to the Muslim. If God offered the false doctrine Christian mercy, and didn’t offer the false doctrine Muslim mercy, God would be partial. Amen.

The scriptures tell us that if any man desires to know anything of God, God will teach him. The scriptures tell us that, “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world” (John 1:9). So, the moment you are born, whether you are a Muslim, or whether you are a Hindu, or whatever you are, God’s light is promised to light you. And do you know something? God said that, “…this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19). That means that when Jesus Christ died on Calvary, He died for every Muslim, He died for every Hindu, He died for every no doctrinal person, in other words, agnostics. He died for them all. Amen.

Now, the point is that none of those can go to hell unless they reject Jesus, but none of those can reject Jesus unless they know Him. How are you going to reject Jesus if you never heard of Him? In other words, God must reveal Himself to every human being who is born on the face of the earth.  Many people who we think are going to hell will make heaven, and many of those who we think are riding high to go to heaven are going to make hell. Do you know why? Because they have rejected Jesus in the fact that they knew Him, but didn’t want Him. They would not let Him reign over them, they wanted something else, and they chose a false doctrine because they didn’t want Jesus. Amen.

Scripture reading: 1 John 3:1-9

God moves by certain principles and if we understand the principles of God, we can walk with God. But we cannot walk with God by our own principles, by our own plans. We must walk by His principles and by His plans. So then, God has brought us to a certain place. You may think it is circumstances that have brought you there, but it is the hand of God. And God is still striving with us to bring us into conformity with His Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

The difference between the Christian and the sinner is that the Christian has the power to resist and overcome sin. On the other hand, the sinner has no power against sin. Let me say it again: the Christian has the power to resist sin, but the sinner has no power. Yet, the Christian sometimes commits the same sins and sometimes might do the same things that the sinner does. At one time I was surprised, but I am no longer surprised at seeing Christians cursing and doing wrong things, because I know we have the power to do it. And even though we have the power to do it, we pay the consequence.

God gives us power over the power of the devil. Some people want to have power so that they can heal the sick; so that they can speak the word and this and that happens; so that they can do this and that. But is the power of God “doing”? No! The power of God is to “be.” It is not power to “do,” but it is the power to “be.” Amen!

When you tell me that you have a sin in you, you are confessing that you are rejecting Jesus Christ. I am being hard by saying this, but it is true. I am just giving out the truth as the Spirit of God gives it. You cannot have a sin in you that continually bugs you unless you reject Jesus Christ. For the Holy Spirit will stop you from sinning. You have to overcome Jesus Christ and put Him aside in order to sin. So, therefore, the sin that besets us is not because God is not God and that’s why we sin. We sin because we reject God. For the Son of God (Jesus) was revealed so that we should not sin. I am quoting from 1 John 3:5-6, “And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

If you sin, Jesus Christ is not revealed to you. Whatever sin we have, it is because we want it. Somebody goes crying, “Oh God! Take this away from me!” The Bible said that Esau sought repentance with tears, but repentance was elusive to him (see Hebrews 12:16-17). Repentance was running away from him. Why? Because he was only sorry that he had lost the birthright and the blessing. He wanted to consume them unto his lust. You can take God’s goods, God’s goodies and turn them into your lust in order to make yourself great. God help us!

There is a curse in the land. If I tell you what the curse is, it is going to be very hard for you to swallow it. It is the “religion” that we have in us. Amen! You were brought up in a Catholic home (or another religious home), and you say, “Oh, I am no more a Catholic! I am born again now, and I am filled with the Holy Spirit!” I would prefer if you said that you were “baptized” instead of saying that you were “filled” with the Holy Spirit. If you say that you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you are involving God into something that is not godly. Are you with me? You were baptized in the Holy Spirit, but even though you had the change from being a Catholic, your mind still thinks the same way that Catholics think. And this is happening without your knowing it. You said you used to be this and that and that you were the other, but please look into those things that you once were, for some of those things you still are. It is still hanging on you like a disease that did not come out at the first touch.

I pray that you, dear reader, would find yourself using the power that has been given to you to overcome sin in order to be conformed to God’s Son Jesus Christ.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, December 2003, pg. 1-2)

Thought for today: Let us remember that God has not given us His power in order for us to “do.” He has given it to us that we would “be” His righteous people laying aside every sin that so easily besets us.
