Scripture reading: John 17:20-23

I have touched on this subject already and I am going to touch on it again: that God has set in the world apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers. While we move TOGETHER, we will conquer every force on earth, and the CHURCH will be brought to the place of ministry (Ephesians 4:11-14). In other words, the minister must be done away with, but the church is forever! Hallelujah! We are expendable! We will pass away, and our function will pass, but the people of God (You! The body of Christ!), that is what God wants!

Remember now, God never had any title named, “apostle.” He made us apostles, but it is not a title. You cannot be “Apostle So and So.” He made us prophets, but we do not say, “Prophet Tom,” or “Prophet Burt.” No! IT IS NOT A TITLE! It is a designation, a job designation! It is a job! The name of the job is “apostle.” The name of the job is “prophet.” Amen!

Let us turn to John 17:20, “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word.” You can always remind the devil that Jesus prayed for you. “Jesus prayed for me, therefore, you cannot tell me anything else!”

Verse 21, “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” In other words, God is going to use you to let the world know that God sent Jesus.

Verse 22, “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.” God wants us to be one, even as Christ and God the Father are one! Meaning to say, “I in you and you in me,” and, “we in Christ and Christ in GOD!” Amen! This is the function, this is the oneness. I do not care how weak you are. I do not care how wishy-washy you are. God has made you to be an overcomer, and that you must be! Amen!

Verse 23, “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”

So then, in the name of Jesus and by the Blood of Jesus, let us take this food. Let us feast upon it night and day until it becomes a part of us, and let us walk in truth.

Thought for today: Let us walk in truth and move together so that we are able to conquer every force on earth.

Scripture reading: 1 Timothy 6:12

I am one of those people who do not believe in old age. I do not believe that because I am 80 years of age, my blood shouldn’t flow through my veins like some of yours who are younger. I believe like Caleb, who said, “I am this day 85 years of age and my natural force is not abated. I am ready to go and take the land that God has given me” (see Joshua 14:10-11). I do not believe in feebleness. Praise God! I believe that God keeps us according to our belief and according to our faith, and I do believe that I will die healthy, when I do die. Thank You, Jesus!

I discovered a secret. The secret is that when you come into the house of God, or at home, or in the car, or daily walking around doing your business, if you keep the valve open for God to flow in, the flowing of the Spirit heals the natural body.

One day, I was in Jamaica. I had a pain in my arm. I could not lift my hand above my head. One brother began to preach and said, “I want you all to lift up your hands.” He also said, “If your hand is even paining you, lift it!” So I lifted my hands! I believe that the energy that went into my arm came from the living Word the brother gave and I accepted. It is so simple, and yet so profound. I do not know if we do not believe it, but we certainly do not pay much attention to the fact that the flowing of the energy of God does not only heal the soul, but it also heals the body! For healing cannot come to the body unless it comes through the soul. Praise God!

I would like to take you into a higher spiritual realm today, a little above the normal. You must have heard that I have a name to be a sorcerer, right? The reason is that from when I was a child, I have had spiritual confrontations. As a child I discovered that you do not have to be in God to command the spirits to get away from you. I am saying this and I do not know exactly why, but I know for one thing that God gave man a mandate. God gave us a mandate and the mandate was that Adam should rule everything that moves in this natural realm. We lost it to Satan, but any day you get up and lay hold of it, it is yours! I want you to understand that.

When we think of Apostle Paul, we know that he must have been way, way, way ahead of the church and the other apostles, and anybody else you know. Paul himself received revelations from the Lord, but he could not have personally experienced everything he wrote about. If you watch his life as a Pharisee, and then when he came into God, you notice that he spent 14 years in the desert just fasting and praying and receiving from God. I doubt he understood all the things he received from God, everything that he was saying. I am sure he could not understand them as we understand them now. Do you know why? Because the revelation of Jesus Christ is progressive, and He progressed from the foundation of the apostles and prophets. He gave them the foundation and progressed unto us. Today we have an authority that Paul did not have.

I wonder if I can explain it to you. The authority that we have now is to kill the devil. We have the power now, because it is the end of time and God said that at the end of time He would bring forth a people who would be overcomers. Now, you had better watch well that word “overcomers,” because sometimes it doesn’t mean what we think it means. In other words, it is almost “limitless.” You overcome one thing, and immediately you are faced with another. And the moment you overcome that, you qualify to overcome something else. Some people get tired. Every day—battle, battle, battle! But I love the battle, because it gives me an incentive.

We are supposed to be overcomers, and the first thing of all that we have to overcome is inside ourselves. If you do not overcome the man in you, you are not going to be an overcomer of anything else.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, December 2003, pg. 38-39)

Thought for today:  Do not tire of the battles that rise up before you on daily basis. Use it as an incentive to draw closer to God.

Scripture reading: Jeremiah 31:31-34

In the book of Revelation, John saw all of us sitting here. John said he looked at the company of the overcomers and they were all worshipping the Lord. He saw you! Before you were born, he saw you, and you were worshipping the Lord; and God said, “It is good. Let them be birthed.”

So, we are born in various, different circumstances. Some of us were born in darkness: “Lord, when I think of the night… my soul… in the past! It was so dark; it was so terrible; it was so hopeless!” Yet, God said, “It is good!” For God saw the end of it.

Although I cannot see the end of it, I am rejoicing in the end of it, for I know that God is seeing it. He said that all them that He called, He perfected (Ref. Romans 8:29-30). He said He called you because He already perfected you! He knows what you are going to go through!

Today we are up against the Church’s greatest battle up to this point, and I believe there will be no greater when we overcome. The reason is that we are just a few years from the end of this age, and according to my understanding, after the end of this age, Christ must come forth and walk and talk in human flesh and blood. He must walk on the streets of the city and bring forth the glory of God; and mankind must see God walking through men! This is the promise. He said in Jeremiah 31:33, “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

This promise was made to Israel, and as God engrafted us into this Israel, we became a part of the promise. So God must, I say, God must bring forth this thing on earth before He finishes the job! He cannot finish this age until He has brought this thing to pass! God must be God, and we must be a kingdom of priests, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, and a peculiar people unto God (Ref. 1 Peter 2:9). You are not satisfied with what you are right now and I am not satisfied with what I am. Then, if we are not satisfied, God is not satisfied either!

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, July 2000, pg. 27-28)

Thought for today: Let us strife in our daily lives towards having God’s law written in our hearts.
