There is one thing that came to me as I sat there. It is the word Jehovah, Lord God Almighty. These are the most powerful words in all of our vocabulary and I assure you, we will not understand it tonight or forever. There is a scripture, (maybe you can find it for me), where the Lord said to Moses, “You have not known me by this name before” and He gave him the name Jehovah. (Ex 6:3) We translate it badly, “Jehovah”, <Yah vah che vah>, something like that. The “Yah” in the beginning, in the front of it there, that in itself means God. The rest of the phrase, the rest of the word gives us the feeling of Almighty.
I just pray and wish that we could understand within ourselves what Almighty is. You think of someone who could make the moon, the stars, the sun, the earth and anchor them upon nothing and have them moving around like a big clock keeping time, without ever missing a second. We understand that they have been going now for over six thousand years and we don’t even understand very much what a thousand years means. But this God, He built this universe and did all these things and you ask yourself the question:
“Why did He do it?”
“What is His intention?”
He must have some reason, don’t you think?
I mean if I build a chair, I have a reason. I want to sit down. This God built all this thing here and some of us take it for granted as though it were nothing. But that is the front of the Book. Let’s go to the back of the Book and we find out that what God wants is a temple to dwell in not made by hands. God wants a temple to dwell in and He takes up a handful of dirt and made a man. After He made that man you would say that He would put a protection around that man so that nothing can touch him. But He did the opposite to that, He let him loose where the Devil could get him. For His reason is that: If you can’t overcome the evil, you have no use for good. So in order to make man good, God let loose evil upon him.
If you can’t overcome the evil, you have no use for good.
Have you ever thought of it, why we have so much trouble as Christians? Next time we sing “Praise”, let us start to praise God for the trouble that we have, for that is the only way that God is going to get sons of God. So He has let us loose in a world that is very close to hell. Every circumstance seems to be designed to test us to the core. So therefore He sent Jesus. His only begotten Son (that is what we call Him).
It is like a man marries a woman and they both have a child from the seed of the man, so it is that God brought forth a Son out of His own being. This Son is a Pattern of what He is going to make us to be. Have you ever thought of it, that soon you will be walking this earth like Jesus Christ Himself? But you ask yourself the question:
“How can that happen from such a wretched existence?”
When I bow before God I feel like a piece of earth. I feel dirty. I see my sins and weaknesses of course.
I say to myself, “How could God make a son of God out of this?”
Yet this is God’s plan and God’s plan is about to come to pass. That means that the worst is yet to come. If you believe that you have been tried and tested, if you have lived long to have some good sweet time, you are making a mistake. God is about to loose hell upon us as never was since God made man. Does that sound like good preaching? Maybe we should read the Bible.
Please turn to Matthew Chapter 24. Well let’s see if this is true. It doesn’t sound right, does it? If you look at the 23rd verse, it seems to me that I am right. Let’s go from verse 21:
Mt 24:21 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
22 “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”
23 “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.”
24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
25 “Behold, I have told you before.”
26 “Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.”
27 “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
First of all we read that there is going to be trouble such as never was since God made man till now, meaning to say that the “holocaust” will be child’s play. All that Hitler did and all that Stalin did and all that the great killers did and all that the Catholic Church did cannot be compared to what is about to happen presently.
When I was in Mahomet a couple of weeks ago the Lord came to me and said that, “It is urgent that you go to Europe.”
I began to question God about this urgency. Now we are talking about Jehovah, the Almighty God. He doesn’t make mistakes. He doesn’t do anything at all that is close to an error. All things He does is well done and precalculated, so that God can tell you the result before the thing happens. All right, so He says to go to Europe and to carry the message of what is about to happen presently.
You know for years we have been preaching about things that are to come and then we could say, “They are coming.”
But now I want to tell you, “It has come.”
In other words the Devil is ready to loose all hell upon earth and God is holding him back. Why? Why is God holding back Satan at this time? “But for the elect’s sake” He said He would shorten the time. So sin has come to it’s full, payment is overdue, the bailiff is waiting at the door to collect and God says:
“You will not until I have finished sealing My servants.”
Brethren we are being sealed with the truth. Remember now that we are sealed by the truth of the Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit is enlightening our minds and our understanding at this time, that we might understand what is about to take place.
In Psalm 91 He says:
Ps 91:1 “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide (shall remain) under the shadow of the Almighty.”
So that I am praying and we are praying that God would not only put His shadow over Tursko, but over all His people. It would not be the first time that God is doing this. Can you imagine going through the desert with three million people and thousands and thousands of cattle and sheep and all like that? God held an umbrella of cloud over their heads. God was walking along with them. The slow ones, the little ones, He was walking along with them. When a little sheep strays out there in the desert in a half an hour he would be dead. But then a little cloud detach itself and cover him. So when you lose your cattle all you have to do is to look up there to see where the cloud is and there is your cattle. I mean it is amazing this God that we serve. He is so big and yet He is so small.
Today a brother was telling me about how the kids lost their turtle. They prayed to God to tell them where the turtle is. Then they started to make a drawing and when they finished the drawing they saw that was where the turtle is. They just followed the drawing in the yard to go to pick up the turtle. A big God does some little things. This is the Almighty God that we serve.
I am telling you this to tell you what God told me to tell you. That He will take care of you, He will protect you wherever you are. He will protect your little ones. Don’t be afraid. By faith begin to trust Him now for protection.
What I see in my own mind is the Russians coming in here at the first opportunity that they get. God has to have a strong people here. God has to have a strong people here who will overthrow them by prayer. All of the mighty deliverances that you have read about in your Bible is about to happen to you. The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob is our God. He has never changed and He will never change. He promises you protection, hold onto that. Praise God.
The reason why the Bible says, “if anyone says that Jesus is out there, don’t go” is because the first appearing of Jesus is in here, it is not out there. (Mt 24:23) Believe me please, that we are not much and God wants us to acknowledge that nothingness in order that we might be able to trust Him for everything. Do you see what I am saying? He wants us to put the flesh down. The carnal things, the human operations, the power that we have, put it down. It is not going to stand in the day of battle, but the God in you is going to stand. This is the reason why God said not to believe that Jesus is out there, because Jesus is coming in here.
Look at the 11th Chapter of Revelations. There is going to be trouble. People are going to be killed. There is a “flock of the slaughter” that is now being fattened for destruction. (Jer 11:4,7,)
Revelation 11:3 “And I will give power unto my two witnesses…”
But verses 1 and 2 tell us that one section of the church will be trampled underfoot. We are studying the tabernacle and we are yet to get to the outer court. The outer court of the tabernacle is the place where the people of God do not have the infilling of God inside of them. So any church that doesn’t believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost is a church that is in the outer court. Read here in verse 2 what it says about the outer court.
Re 11:2 “But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.”
When God speaks of forty two months He is talking about a lunar year, lunar means the moon going around the earth forty-two times, forty-two new moons. He says that they are going to be trampled for forty-two moons. But then He says:
Re 11:3 “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days….”
When you speak of “days” you speak of a solar year. It means that the sun will be rising and setting for “a thousand two hundred” and sixty times. That will be basically three and a half years, He is talking about lunar years also.
If this is so you ask yourself the question, “When is this going to take place?”
We hear that there are riots in Iran. Iran was a trigger that Satan was about to use to trigger this war. The riots in Iran are preventing Satan from pulling the trigger. You notice the little things that will happen to hold back, which are giving us time to prepare.
You have to be prepared in your mind, that is the chief preparation. God might speak to some of you about saving some food, water, solar energy and things like that. As sons of God you should be well advanced in doing these things.
Somebody says, “But we are sons of God, we don’t have to make any preparation.”
Sons of God obey God. If God tells you to jump, you jump. If He tells you to sit down, you sit down. That is the difference between the righteousness of this time and the past righteousness. You see the righteousness before Jesus came that brought the Holy Ghost was that men would do certain things. They would read their Bible so many times a day, pray so many times a day, do this, do that, do that. Now righteousness is doing what God wants you to do when He wants you to do it. So when the Holy Ghost wanted them to go into the corn field on Sunday or on Saturday or Sabbath day, they did it. They didn’t care about the law as you know.
Can you understand then, what makes you righteous now? It is obeying the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit, that is what makes you righteous now. So then as righteous people we are going to be walking according to the plan of God and not according to our own thinking. Praise God. I hope we can get that part, because this is the main thing that is going to get you ready for a time of trouble that is greater than any other.
We are children of Almighty God. Can you understand that? We are children of the Almighty God. As children of the Almighty God we really have no problem, except of course ourselves. If we can get rid of this self here and just trust God, we will become overcomers. An overcomer is not someone who just sits and puts his feet up and says, “I’ve got it all made.” But he is someone who overcomes the problems that other men couldn’t overcome.
So then the chief KEY to our overcoming is obedience to the Spirit of the Living God.
But now how are you going to obey someone who you can’t hear? Amen. How are you going to hear someone who you can’t see? God Almighty planted within us His Spirit so that what you must be obeying is the Spirit within. That is the reason why you don’t have a pastor or a bishop, because you would have to obey the bishop. But then if you obey the Spirit within you, you will do what God wants you to do and you will feel good about it. You see, when you obey the Spirit of the Living God you feel free inside. Sometimes it is hard, it is not something that you want to do, but you obey God because God is speaking inside of you. Amen.
Now talking about the Almighty God, let’s talk about Him a little bit more. He is able to control your spirit, to control your mind, to control your body. Let’s look at the chain of command: the Father; Jesus; the Holy Spirit; my spirit; my soul (Which means my mind, my emotions have to obey Him too, my will, my desires).
Now many times I don’t desire what God desires. I don’t have the will that God has. My emotions are leading me a certain way and my mind is not always “stayed” on God. (Is 26:3) But I notice that when you come to service you start by singing. Our song services back in America are too long, but your song services are too short. I mean that sometimes you feel the Spirit moving in such a way that you would just like to move a little bit with It. But then I can understand if someone wants to hear the Word, you don’t want to keep singing anymore. The beauty of it all is to follow the Spirit.
You know the scriptures speak of the opening up of the doors of the heart. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man…open the door, I will come in…” (Re 3:20) There is a knocking and sometimes the song service opens the door. You now, we start to sing “Unto Thee O Lord Do I Lift Up My Soul” and as you sing that your heart begins to open to Jesus. He is not waiting, He is pouring in. God is pouring in and by the time you sing it a few times you feel lifted up in the Spirit. So God is saying to you that you have to practice opening your heart to God.
You see, what happened is that God never promised to open your hearts. He is always saying, “Lift up your heads, O ye gates;…” (Ps 24:7) I am talking to Gate now, “Lift up your heads.” Like approaching the gate out there and the gate just opened for us. Somebody gave a command to the gate, “Gate open!” and the gate opened.
I’ll never forget where we picked up some brethren from Africa who had never seen a gate automatically open the door. We were driving up to the garage and the garage door opens and the sister screamed.
But this is what God is saying. “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.” An everlasting door is no more than your soul. He is talking about your mind opening up. He said of the bride, “the bride hath made herself ready”. (Re 19:7) So while we are feeling small and that before God, we should realize that we have the key to the door and the gates and the bars and the Almighty God will come in.
Now we consider a few more thoughts before we close. God is Almighty for me, but He is not Almighty for the enemy that is coming against me. The enemy still looks down on you and says:
“I can beat that thing there called man.”
God has to use you to teach the principalities and powers of hell Who God is. Did you remember that scripture? I am seeing Colossians before me.
Col 1:13 “Who hath delivered up from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”
14 “In whom we have the redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”
15 “Who is the image of the invisible God, for the firstborn of every creature:”
16 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”
No, no, that is not the chapter I am looking for. “Principalities and powers in heavenly places”, I thought it was in Colossians.
“Brother Burt, do you know where to find that scripture there?”
“Ephesians 3:10.”
Now why did I go to Colossians?
“Because, that is also about principalities and powers being created by Him.”
Yes. All right, let’s read that in Ephesians here to give us that understanding, far above all principalities and powers and might and dominion that is named, not only in this world but also in the world to come. The scripture that I am reading is that we are teaching the principalities and powers. Okay.
Ephesians 3
Eph 3:9 “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.”
10 “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.”
Amen. So it means that the church, we the church, the word church here signifies the church militant. In other words, we as living people are teaching their princes and all of their areas of influence “the manifold wisdom of God”.
For instance, let’s see if we can analyze that a little bit. This place is more than full, because they have ways of seeing us and hearing us, although they can’t hold in this little building. So then all the people who have passed on and gone to the heavenlies are listening to the revelation that God gives us here now in the church. Those who are in hell are studying us to see how they could get us.
So the people to whom God is giving revelation and walk in truth, we become a target for hell and we become a school for those who are in the heavenlies.
Can you imagine a man who never knew God and he died and on his deathbed he called upon the Lord and was saved? Where do you think he is going to learn about God? The Bible said, “From the church” and “the angels desire also to look into it”. (Eph 3:10; 1Pet 1:12) The angels are learning from us.
So Paul, in speaking to the brethren said that you must be careful how you walk and how you talk and how you live, because the heavenly host is watching you.
You know a little before Mavis passed on she told me a thing that happened there. We were sitting in the room and she asked me if I saw somebody come in a while ago.
I said, “No.”
She described him to me and said, “It is a young man and he wanted to know if there was anybody that was overcoming the spirits that had been in the family.”
You do not know what you are doing, but you are actually destroying the power of certain spirits that are in your family so that it doesn’t go to your children. I figure that we could get on that some other time. We still want to open for about ten minutes of questions in case anybody didn’t understand a word there. Amen. I tell you what you do. Write down your questions and at the next meeting we will deal with them. If you want to ask a question you can now?

Question: In verse 14 and 15 if I understand correctly, it describes the qualifications which makes me qualified for the perfection.
Ps 91:14 “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.”
In other words, “he hath set his love upon me” and he hath known me. That’s the qualifications.
How can a man more know God? How can he more love God?
