Omega Message – December 1997
Cecil duCille
(Message given Friday afternoon meeting at the Sonlight Gospel Conference, Illinois July 1997.)
Let us continue with what we were talking about this morning. We are talking about how God spoke to me the words “Dead Men Walking,” and that there are some in the Church who are already dead spiritually; and they are walking around praising God with us.
But, there is a peculiar thought that came when the Lord spoke the word to me. The thought was that God is seeing us right now, and He is seeing our “beginning,” and He is seeing our “now,” and He is seeing our “end.” And somehow I suspect that in the proper destiny, God does not have a set destiny which says that you must end so and so: You must end bad, or you must end here-but that He gives us the ability to change it. The thing is in your hands.
God is looking at your end, but He knows if you continue on this road you will end here, and if you change your course you will end there; thus He gives you every encouragement to go a certain way in order to influence your destiny for good.
The concept is very simple. Think of yourself being up in an airplane, looking down. You see a man running along the road, and there is a fork in the road. If he turns one way, you see he is going to end up in the swamp. If he turns the other way you know that he is going to end right. So you send a message down to him and you say, “Keep on the straight way. Do not turn.” You do not really tell him the whole detail of the thing, but because you are seeing where he is going to end, you say, “Don’t you turn. You keep on the straight way.” The man says, “Alright. I am going to keep on the straight way.”
This is how it is when God looks down on us. But, here comes a devil and he whispers in your ears. He says, “Some beautiful truths are on this road. You can enjoy this road, and after all, you can bless God with the money that you make on this road.” And he says, “Go this way.” And you have been tempted to make the turn.
But God sends another message to you and says, “Remember I said to you to go that way. Go straight!” And there is this battle that is continuing in the mind, and you make the wrong turn. But God has a way for you to get back on the right road if you will only listen. And He says, “When you reach to the next turn, turn left.” But when you look at that turn, “Oh my!” It is rocky. It is dreadful. It is terrible. It is problematic. You say, “Boy, I think I had better go for the next turn.” God says, “Turn this way!”
However, there is an end to it. There is a time when you cannot turn back: a time when you have gone too far. And this is what we do not want. We would like to see everybody turn right.
The 1st of July, I had a dream in the morning. I have a scriptural reason for dreaming. You understand that? The Bible said [Acts 2:17] that “…old men shall dream dreams.” Yes! Didn’t the Bible say so? And it said, “In the latter days…,” so I am fully in my rights to dream dreams, although I was dreaming dreams from when I was a young man. (But it also said that young men would dream dreams too!)
THE DREAM:
We were on a train in Jamaica going from Kingston on the South coast to Montego Bay on the North coast. The railway line splits into two lines, with one line straight to Montego Bay, and one line branching off towards Mount Diablo (Devil’s Mountain). There is a road that goes over this mountain called “Devil’s Racecourse.”
We were on this train going along when we came to where the line branched and the train stopped. While we were stopped, we realized that the train split in two. When we began moving again, one section went on straight, and the other section went on the other way towards Mount Diablo. And that is the dream.
I do not know if any of you are gifted with interpretation of dreams, but I think you do know what this dream is saying-we are going to have a split: some are going to be going in one direction, and some going in the other direction.
In the interpretation of the dream, the ones who turned off to the line which goes over Mount Diablo would likely be the ones going in the wrong direction. I was reminded that in our lives we have never had an accident except that one on Devil’s Racecourse when the right back wheel of my car came off. There was a 300 foot drop straight down on one side of the mountain. I turned up into the mountain and hit a post, and the front wheel came up through the floor. I lifted my foot up and the wheel came in. It did not touch me. The car was thrown back into the road and it dropped like a pancake flat in the road and we were saved. We did not go over that precipice.
I feel that the dream means that we are going to have a split, and that it will be of the Lord. It was not a Devil split. It was a separating of the train. It was separated peacefully, and one part went one way and the other went the other way.
I am constantly reminded about my calling, that God called me, and who He sent me to. I was sent to the people of God-to go to a special people-not just in the United States, but in the world. We spoke about the ekklesia (the “called out”; the Church) and the eklektos (the elect); that there was the “called out” people who were called out by God; but there was a “called out” of the “called out.”
All of us here are called. All the people in the churches are called people. The ministers are anointed people. I have lived with them. I know that they are God-anointed men.
Sister Mavis said in her book Nuggets For The Needy, “God loves everybody, but He delights in some.” I want to be one of those who God delights in, and there is only one way to be, and it is by being obedient. If you can obey God with whatever He tells you to do, you will be among the “number one” called of God.
I want everyone, who finds himself to be wrong in anything, to turn away from it and to turn to God. True repentance must have three turns. The first turn is to stop. The second turn is to turn away from; and the third turn is to turn to God.
I have known men who have repented bitterly over things they have done wrong. Sure, they did repent. They were sorry for it and they turned way from it, but they never turned to God to fill the vacancy. They found another way, and therefore they went right back into the same error.
We must be “conscious.” God has made some people conscious: sensitive, able to hear, able to feel, and able to see spiritual things. I am talking about spiritual things.
There is a man who is as much a man as you are, but he is blind. He lost his eyes, but he is every bit as much a man as you are! He lost his eyes. He is not one hundred percent conscious physically, because those eyes were serving a purpose.
There are some people who have been so beaten emotionally that they have lost the right touch, the right feel of God. The Spirit of God will come into this place and move and it does not move them to the extent that it will move the others.
So, there is a losing out with God. You can lose out little by little, and you never know when you lost feeling. You never know when you lost touch. You never know when you have lost that spiritual God-given divine emotion.
You do not feel as you should feel. One young man came to me one time. He said, “I notice the brethren are clapping and some of them are dancing and some of the young people seem to be alive, and I do not have that feeling.” He said, “What is wrong with me?” You know what was happening? Sin was in his life.
This brings us to Matthew 13 again. Some seed fell among thorns. And the thorns grew and the seeds grew. They were growing together in God, but the thorns choked the seed and it had no fruit.
I used to plant on the hillside sometimes, and we found out that the places occupied by the thorns were the richest soil. You see a field of thorns, cut it down, burn it out, and you get some lovely fruits and vegetables coming up, because the thorns occupy rich soil. If you see a man with thorns in his life, help him to get the thorns out of his life, and he will be a great Christian.
You know something? You never get the thorns out until you burn them. We had to put fire on them; and the fire would burn the roots in the ground, and no more thorns would grow there.
Brethren, I say that God has been giving me this word to you. Now, somebody said that, “Ces does not speak with ‘thus saith the Lord’ all the while. Sometimes, Ces speaks by what Ces thinks the Lord means when he says so and so, and so.”
Yes! That is true! But, you tell me where I am wrong. You tell me when I am wrong, because if God tells me that one and one makes two, I can say, “Thank you, Lord. So, two and one will make three.” There is more written in the Bible by inference than what is written directly, so I am in good company.
Let us read 1 Corinthians 7:4-6, and we will see where Paul speaks “by permission.” Oh yes! It is possible, and this is why God needs elders-people who are older in the Spirit-people who are trained and versed in the Spirit so they can interpret the Spirit of God.
I do not know if you noticed that enough has happened here since morning that we could actually go home and live on it for the rest of the week, and the month, and the year; but what has happened is that we get too much sometimes at one time. You get a prophecy here and a prophecy there, and very powerful, strong words come, and you forget them! You [end up] wanting to hear another word. We have to be more diligent.
Chapter 7:4, “The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and like-wise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one to the other except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.”
Now, you refute that [this passage], you go against that, and say that that was Paul and not Christ. It is “by permission,” but you notice it has the same power and strength of a commandment. He went on [in Verse 10] and said, “But this I speak by commandment….” In other words he is saying, “The Bible says so and so, but I am saying to you so and so, because I am based upon what the Bible is saying.”
We understand that God is telling us that we are the people of the last time, and that a lot of things are going to happen in the last time. Matthew 25 tells us of a separation in the Church, and that there was a time for the separation. I do believe, personally, that this is what God is warning us about, and each person needs to make sure that you are on the right course.
Verse 6 says, “At midnight there was a cry made, Behold the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.” We have been singing this as a song, and I do not know how many of us have taken it to heart; because I believe if we were taking it to heart, while we were singing it, some of us would be hollering!
“And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.” In my vocabulary, the word “virgin” in the Bible means clean, spotless, God-anointed Christians. We have passed the state of dealing with the Christians who are half in and half out. We are now at the stage where we are dealing with those who were born again, who are sanctified, baptized in the Holy Ghost, and walking with God in purity!
They were dressed. They had on the wedding garment of Christ’s righteousness. That means that they were well prepared and ready and waiting for the Lord. More than that, they had “oil in their lamps.” That means they had the Holy Spirit in their spirits. They were well equipped. They were ready! But, guess what? Trouble comes. Distress comes. The time that the Bible calls “midnight” comes.
The word “midnight” in Scripture has a specific meaning. It means “problems of the worst kind.” It was at midnight that the [firstborn] of the Egyptians were slain, and those who were under the blood were sheltered. If God did not shelter them under the blood, they would be dead. At midnight Boaz woke up, and found that a woman was lying at his feet, and the Bible said that he was afraid, and he took off his coat and covered her. At midnight, the Church is the woman, and we are going to need a covering from Jesus Christ, our Boaz!
The Bible tells us what the meaning of midnight is. Look for midnight through the whole Bible, and you will see that at midnight there is destruction, and also there is salvation. Always!
In the whole Jewish calendar, from Passover (that is, at the beginning of the year) right back to Yom Kippur (or what we would call the “Day of Atonement”), the Jewish year represents the action of God for the whole 2,000 years from Jesus Christ to the end of the age. If you take everything that happens in the Jewish calendar right down to the last priest entering into the Holiest of All, you will find that it is depicting everything that is going to happen to us [the Church], from the coming of Jesus until His return at the end of the age.
We find therefore that midnight comes just before morning, so that this great tribulation (this great darkness that is coming down on the earth) must finalize itself before Jesus Christ returns to our “morning,” because Jesus is our Morning! He is our Daylight; the Light of our lives; and He is the Sun of our righteousness. …And when the Sun shall arise…. He said, “…until the daystar arise…” Where? “…in your hearts.” The Daystar will arise after midnight, and we are going to go through this great suffering of midnight (great tribulation), which we have already entered!
It has already begun, but you do not feel it because you were born in it. To you it becomes so natural what is going on now, but the happenings of today are very unnatural! Nobody could have thought that the things that are happening around us would happen. It is very unnatural, and we are being “desensitized.” The Devil so fixes it that he creeps upon us gradually so that we do not really feel the tribulation. Though we are not feeling it, the tribulation is here.
It frightens me when I see the stock market going up to 8,000; but some people say, “It is wonderful. Let us invest!” They say, “We are doing well. We are in the best time of America”; but it is really the end we are experiencing.
Let us deviate for a while. I majored in economics. If you bought a car for $5,000 some years ago, and somebody comes ten years after and offers you $10,000 for the same car that has depreciated, let us say, $3,000. It would mean that though your car is only valued at $2,000, you were getting $10,000 for it. It means that $8,000 is not in that car! Its value is only in the minds of the people, and what is happening is that the car gets rare and becomes an antique, so they want to have it, and the car does not have in it the value. That means that it is overvalued by $8,000, and if things come down to truth, you will find that the person who invested that $8,000 has lost it!
What we are seeing is that the stocks in the stock market that were valued at X amount, the same stocks are increasing and the value of the company is not increasing! The stocks are increasing because they are doing good business, and a projection of future profits inflates the value. But, suppose something happens and the business is not good anymore? All that amount of money you invested is just like vapor. It is gone with the wind!
We are witnessing this now in our world, and the value is not there! But the people are pumping in their monies, their pensions, and everything else. Let me tell you, we are heading for a fall. We are heading for a fall-a very big fall!
And God has been warning us for a long time. I advise you, Set your affections on things above, so that when the fall comes, it will not matter to you: “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord.” That is where we ought to be as Christians.
I mentioned this to show you that we are very close into the midnight hour, and a fact that I want you to understand. The Jewish day begins at six o’clock in the evening. The day begins with night! So, we are indeed in the Seventh Day; but the night must pass first before the Sunlight comes forth. It must get darker, and darker, and darker until it gets light! “As long as the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, …summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22). We are entering into night and the night is getting darker and darker; and the day will dawn, but you have to endure the night. “He that endureth to the end shall be saved,” saith the Lord!
At midnight, the Beast must reign. The Beast must reign in the night. I do not know if you expect to reign and rule right now, but I am telling you it is not going to be right now. Right now, you must suffer, and be born, because it is the suffering, it is the travailing, that is going to birth us. We are not yet birthed. We are still fetuses. We are not yet birthed, because this is not the thing that God had ordained to rule the world. What we are now is too much of a deep mixture with the flesh! We cannot rule the world in this condition or else we would do exactly what they are doing in the White House today. We must be changed, and we must allow the working of the Lord upon us to change us!
What is it going to take to change you? It depends on your case. It depends on who you are. The worse the case, the harder the blow. You are not going to go through the same tribulation that I am going to go through.
And there is a way to escape the tribulation. Did you know that? You can escape it completely: just give up everything to Jesus. It sounds easy, doesn’t it? Just give up everything to Jesus right now, and you will escape the tribulation. Because, the poet says: “He that is down needs fear no fall./ He that is low no pride.” If you sleep on the floor you cannot fall off the bed.
So, you need to understand what God is doing. We are entering the midnight hour and there are certain things that must happen. Firstly, the Church system-I know you do not like this one-this system must be destroyed.
“What kind of preaching is that, that the Church system must be destroyed?” “Brother Ces, show me that in the Scriptures and I will believe it.” You want to see the Scriptures, don’t you? We will go to the Scriptures. Take Daniel, Chapter 7, Verses 21-22, “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them; until the Ancient of days came….” That is part of it, but the Scripture that the Lord brings into my mind is Daniel 12:7, “And I heard the man clothed in linen which was on the water of the rivers when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.” Yes! So that means that there is a scattering of the power of the Church.
Let us take Daniel 8:24, “And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.” I think that is enough to answer the question.
Daniel 7:21 says, “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints (the Church), and prevailed against them; Until….” Now, you notice the “Until”? There will be a coming against, a beating of the Church, a destroying of the people of the Church, “Until the Ancient of Days” comes. In other words, brethren, until you get the fullness of Christ, you are going to be under the pressure of the enemy. There is a people who will rise up, and defend the Church and bring deliverance to the Church; and that people is what we are talking about, that God is creating now!
Let us go back to our original thought in Matthew 25. Remember, we are talking about “Dead men walking”, which means people who are in the Church, who will be out of the Church at a certain time. Some of what we read before was talking about people losing their salvation, but there is another set of losers in the Church who will only lose their calling, but will not lose their salvation; and I will tell you why.
Matthew 25:7-8, “Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil for our lamps are gone out.” You cannot give anybody the Holy Ghost, no matter what you do. There are some people [today] laying hands on other people and saying they can give them the Holy Ghost, so that many talk in tongues, but they do not have the Holy Ghost.
“But the wise answered, saying Not so lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.” Who is it that sells? Well, somebody says, “Jesus.” But, in this sense, they were going out into the darkness to get hit, and that was going to bring them to their knees, and that was going to give them the necessary deliverance that they needed.
“And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.” I want you to understand what we are talking about. We see people-some of us-who will not be included in the Firstfruits Company. Now a lot of people feel that I use that as a baton over their heads, as a weapon. I do not use it as a weapon. I would love to frighten you into doing the right things. Oh, yes! I am not above frightening you. You see, I have tried everything, but you will not get frightened. God is saying that some of us will not be included in the Firstfruits Company because those who are included in the Firstfruits Company are those who are diligent and obedient!
That is very simple. You do not need any great spirituality. All you need is humility to obey God. Yes! When the Lord speaks, you obey; and if you will obey God’s Word, God will put you in, because these…, they had “oil in their lamps” and “oil in their vessels.”
Let me explain that to you now. “Oil in your lamp” is the Spirit of God in your spirit. Proverbs 20:27 says that “…the spirit of man is the candle (lamp) of the LORD…” That means that man’s spirit is a vessel (because you know lamps hold oil) that holds the oil of the Holy Ghost; and when there is oil in your spirit, the Holy Spirit moves into your soul [vessel]. When you are in the Spirit you can prophesy, you can do great things, you can dance, you can sing, you can tell people what is going to happen tomorrow…, [but] all that does not pay you if you do not have this movement of God in your own soul: when I see that the Spirit of God is in your conscious mind making you to be conscious of sin, and to walk right and holy; and when I see that same Spirit in your emotions, in your will, and in your desires.
Oh yes! [In your desires.] Do you love chocolate? You have a desire, a yearning for chocolate, but when you go to buy the chocolate you remember that there was a little hungry person in India that needed that money, and you know that you are only wasting it to eat more chocolate; and you say, “I had better rather give to that person.”
Now, this would mean that your desires are under the control of the Spirit. You must have God in your desires. When you go to the market place to buy, you must have God in your desires. There is a pair of shoes for so much. You could put on those shoes and walk around and it would be okay, but there is another pair for half the price-it just does not have the brand name on it (of course, while it was not made in China), and you think of sending the rest of the money to somebody in Russia, or some other mission field.
We have some very good news from Russia. The brethren are moving on and they are taking up the gospel. We want some young people to go. Some of you Czech brethren, you should really go to Russia some time and visit the brethren over there, and help them to build. They have to put up a building there; probably they have to get something up before the Winter comes down. Their Winter is from November you know. It is very cold. They have to have some place to have meetings.
Brethren, I am saying that we should be part of this! This is what God is anointing a people for: to break the yokes, to help people! The field is wide open over there, and it will not be for long.
It will not be for long, but I am saying that when you think of these things-the things that you really do not need, but you buy just because you are part of the American culture: You have to look like them; you have to behave like them; you have to spend like them. You spend money and you do not consider that God gave you that money for a reason!
I know that I am dealing with a lot of “unconscious” people. A lot of the brethren are not conscious of what we are! God has called us to save the world! I do not know if you know that.
You are there considering, “Oh, brother duCille says that we are the greatest, you know. We are the top! We are Number One!” If you are “Number One”, then act like Number One! Number One will lay down their lives for the brethren! If you want to be Number One, then God said, “You be the slave.” (Matthew 20:27) Lay down your lives for the brethren! Then I know you are Firstfruits Company …”quality” goods.
There is something I found out recently: I always thought, and probably some of you think the same thing, that the Firstfruits Company were those that were gathered first in the harvest. God reminded me that the firstfruits are gathered right from beginning to end of the harvest. Firstfruits means the “best” fruits. You are going through your harvest now, and the Jew who was gathering his firstfruits would go through and see the lovely, luscious ones, and he would put them aside. All that went to God. The best ones went to the temple.
We were dealing with grapefruits and oranges and we found out that some of the best grapefruits came at the end of the crop! They were the best part of the crop, and they came at the end of the crop!
So God is saying to you, that if you want to be firstfruits with God, then you need to be the diligent ones, the ones that will lay down your lives for God’s people! There are those here working in the prison, and I guarantee that they do not have one hundred percent cooperation from the brethren. Don’t you understand that God wants you to go there and to deliver people?
I am saying, brethren, that midnight is here, and Jesus said, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh when no man can work” (John 9:4). There is a time when you are going to lose the privilege of doing for God what God wants you to do for Him now.
“Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps, …and the door was shut.” Come listen to that. The virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps, “…and the door was shut.”
What door are we talking about? In Scripture, words have a very strong connotation and power on different levels. You read a word down here, and then read a word up here and the word carries a greater power. The “door” means Jesus Christ (“I am the door”). In this verse, the door into Christ was shut. That means that Christ has had His full amount of people-those who will reign and rule with Him-and He shut that door. It was shut!
Nobody here understands what it means. No matter how we feel that we understand, you have no idea. I make fun with you and say, “Well, you will be in charge of Champaign, and the other one will be in charge of San Francisco, and so on,” but what God is talking about is much, much more than that. There are some things of God’s divine plan for the ages that we never even dream about.
God wants people. He is recruiting people now for that position! You are going to be part of that according to what you are now, because this is the proving ground.
Did you understand it? I put you on the proving ground, and you go taking it easy! You need to understand! Rise up now, and do what God wants you to do now! Because we are the people of the end, and we are at the end. Alleluiah.
“The door was shut….” Then the people who were shut out…. Now listen, we are talking here about the “coming” of Christ. Young people, some of you have never heard the gospel right. The coming of Christ: Christ is first coming in His temple; then He will come out there for everybody to see Him. In other words, Christ coming in His Temple, and Jesus Christ coming out there.
Is anybody going to accuse me about that one? But, you see, I am used to being attacked. When I am not attacked, I feel funny. I thrive when they attack me, because they attacked Jesus Christ. And if they attack me, then something must be right. You know, I cannot pinpoint it, but it is right somewhere, and so I am so glad when they speak of me in derogatory terms. Nobody can say, “I caught this man in sin.” They can only attack me on the Word, and this is beautiful.
“The foolish virgins…!” Remember, I said “fool” means that they have said in their hearts that “there is no God.” You can be fools for a while and wise afterward, but when you are wise too late, then you find yourself outside, in the darkness, seeking oil.
The whole idea that God is showing us is that there is an elect people. There is an ekklesia (a Church; a “called out” people), and out of the “called out”, God is calling out. And God is calling out a people to be “excellent.” To be “diligent.” To be the “top.” And I believe that everyone here has that privilege right now.
When we speak of a person who is not going to make it, we are only speaking about those who do not want to make it! That is right! You say you want to make it, but if you never make the effort, you will not make it! God wants people who are diligent: who will lay down their life for God, and for what they think God is saying that they should do, and what they should be.
If you had no chance, God would never say to you, “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” What am I saying? He would not say to you to “watch.” Why would I tell you to watch, if you did not have a chance? So the destiny is not a fixed destiny: that you must go to heaven, or you must go to hell, and you must go…. No! If you do not understand God, then you will believe that. But, if you understand God, you will know that God has given us a race to run; and He said, “All of you…. Run!” (1 Corinthians 9:24). And He gives you everything. He gives you everything that is possible to make you all winners! Some will win and some will lose, because those who lose do not have the heart to win. “Watch ye therefore: for ye know what hour your Lord doth come.” Yet there will be some outside there in the darkness seeking oil.
I am going to ask you to really question me on things that I have said today, because there is a controversy among the brethren. Some are saying, “Ces is saying that if we do not follow his word we are not going to make it.” Now, is that what Ces is saying? No! If you do not follow God’s Word you are not going to make it!
Now, you are going to decide if what I tell you is God, because I expect God to tell you more than what I am saying. He told me that the word that He has given me is nothing but raw food for you, and that you are the cooks, and that you must cook the food and make it palatable and right for the nourishment of the brethren. It is very simple. It is very simple.
You ask me the question, “If we are born again (we are saved), why do we not fellowship with the other people who are born again and who are saved?” Is that not a question that some of you ask? Okay. Good! I did read for you a Scripture which said “…from such turn away.” Let me give you another Scripture, 2 Thessalonians 3:6, where it says that if a brother walks disorderly then do not walk with him. Now, Paul goes on here to explain. He said that he was not talking about the disorderly walk of the sinners, for verily well we would have to leave this world in order not to walk with sinners who walk disorderly. But, he said, if a “brother,” if a man goes by the Name of Jesus Christ and he is not walking orderly (according to God’s order), then do not walk with him! Isn’t that scriptural?
2 Thessalonians 3:6, “Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.”
Now, let us see if we can deal with that a little. What do we mean then by “disorderly”? For instance, if a brother is in sin-he is committing fornication, but every time he comes into church, he wants to give a word; he wants to play the guitar; he wants to play the organ; he wants to sing; he wants to preach! Tell him point blank, “Brother, we love you. You can come to church as much as you want to, but please do not do anything like that.”
You know why? It is very simple. If he does that, then the young ones will say, “Okay, we can do the same because he is preaching and he is doing so and so, and he….” So we just ask him, “Brother, we love you. Stay with us. Come, God will cleanse you one day, but do not preach.” “Do not lead.” “You are walking disorderly.”
And it is a wonderful thing if you can tell a person what you see without getting mad. You do not have to get mad to do it. If you genuinely love the brother you will tell him! You do not want him to go to hell by preaching! We have had preachers who were in that condition. We had to finally tell them.
That is what “disorderly” walking is. It is more than that. All of a sudden Russ said, “Well, you know, brother duCille, I believe what you preach. I believe the word of God that you preach, but there is one part of it that I do not believe. That part of the Scripture that talks about pastors. I want to be a pastor. I want to be a pastor, and I expect that you will fellowship with me and be as nice to me as ever.”
I would say to him, “Brother, I love you. I love you with all my heart, but I will not fellowship with you.”
But, you say, “Brother, you are wrong! This brother is saying that he is baptized with the Holy Ghost. He believes in the most of what you say, but he just does not believe in the pastor business!”
I would say, “No! My God tells me that if a person has a Nicolaitan spirit, and he works as a pastor, that he cannot be at the same time in obedience to God.”
You say, “But brother Ces, do you want to tell me that all these beautiful pastors, these men of God, that they are not in obedience to God?”
I say, “They are all in disobedience!” That is what God told me when He called me. He said in Revelation 18:4, “Come out from among them!” The hour is come when those who remain in Babylon will be destroyed with Babylon, for the destruction of Babylon is sure! (Note: Babylon is the place of mixture of the things of God with evil: false religion; spiritual confusion.)
Somebody says, “Oh, brother Ces, you are talking about Babylon. We are all….” You know, some words have a bad connotation. They sound bad and they are bad. The word “Babylon” is a terrible word, but we were all children of Babylon. And God tells us to “come out.”
Revelation 18:2, “And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”
I want you to notice. Why did He say “Babylon is fallen?” Not because they were not picking up enough collection. Not because they were not preaching some truth. Not because their institutions were diminished in any way. As a matter of fact, more souls are being saved there than are being saved out here-but they are fallen! As I told you before, it was many years after God rejected Saul that Saul still remained as king, but he was fallen! He was finished! “Dead man walking!” Oh yes!
And so, God is saying that Babylon is fallen because it is taken by spirits! Isn’t this what it says? And, that all the evil men were hiding. Evil men, evil spirits, devils: they were all hiding in under the Babylonish system-posing as Christians!” “From such turn away.”
I want you to understand. Robeson was a Southern Baptist minister, and he was one of their star ministers, but he “came out.” One day a man got hold of him, and you know the story-he got “really” saved, he got baptized in the Holy Ghost; and he began to preach.
He tells a story. He said [the Church system] was nothing but wickedness and rottenness, and when [he came out], he preached to his own men, and he said he was shocked to see who came to the altar; and who came to him secretly to ask him to pray for him because they were in adultery and sins of all sort!
Now why didn’t the Church discover that? Don’t you think if somebody here in your midst was in adultery, you would discover it? You had better! If you have the Spirit of God, the Holy Ghost is going to reveal sin in your midst!
I was pastoring a church. I told you I went that way because I wanted to prove the thing, and that I proved that we were wrong. I invited an evangelist to come to preach for me. And so I went up to the podium to introduce the evangelist, and the moment I said, “Brethren, today we welcome…,” the Spirit turned me around, and I began to talk to the man in tongues, and I rebuked him! I was ashamed and frightened. I tried again, I went to introduce him and I turned around again and rebuked him in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
We were distressed. We did not know what to do, and I had to preach the message. When I finished preaching, I called the man to ask, “What is wrong?” Some of the girls came in and told me what was wrong. The man was in sin, and he was attacking the young people in the church, as an evangelist who had come to preach for me!
I visited a church to preach, and involuntarily ran down to a man and prophesied to him in the Name of the Lord, and I did not know what I was doing; and the next thing happened, the man and many other members of the church were taken by sin. They claimed that I wrecked the church. They would never call me. They did not want me to come back there, but what happened is that the church was sitting down there with sin, and if a church sits down with sin, that church is “Babylon,” because it is taken by every foul demon and devil, and they are living in there comfortably. If the devil comes to church, and he is comfortable with you, then you are in Babylon.
If you have no discernment, you are not walking with the Lord! God says in the latter days that He would pour out of His Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and daughters would prophesy, and see dreams and visions! To keep a clean church, things must be seen by the church and handled properly! Or else, devils will creep in and make nests all over the place!
So He said, “This is Babylon (because it is taken over), …the habitation of devils, the hold of every foul spirit, a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.” I mean, I could stay here till morning and tell you stories about devils living in the Church. Demonic manifestations! We start out manifesting in the Spirit, and devils take over the whole church! And I am talking about a church of God, where people are speaking in tongues. I have seen devils take over a whole church! Demonic manifestation, from the bishop right down, and they cut short every true manifestation and quench the Spirit of God.
Somebody brought a strange manifestation, and they call it “mystery.” We go into mystery now! The devil takes over…rhythmic chanting and stamping, without words…mystery of iniquity!
That must not happen here! That must not happen here! God has watchmen (watchchildren, watchwomen), and they must see what is happening in the Church; and they must be able to speak the word of God! In the right way, of course. We do not want anybody running up here and shouting out anybody’s name. That is confusion. That is why we have an eldership! People should go to the eldership and say, “This is what God has shown me….” Let them deal with it. God will teach them wisdom. But, the Church must be clean. “I will have My Church without spot, blemish or wrinkle or any such thing.”
“…He cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen…For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication…” Now, we are talking about spiritual fornication, for a city could not commit natural fornication. It is spiritual fornication, and wherever there is spiritual fornication, there is natural fornication; but we are talking here about spiritual fornication.
“…The kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
I believe that God has shown me the destruction of the Church system. I believe that God has shown me the total overthrow of the thing that we call “church;” and that God has said to us that we must get out of it. And that is why we are here. That is why we are putting up this building and not worshipping downtown with the other groups, because we must have a place where we can worship God in freedom! Without being asked to leave.
We come to some questions now. Amen. We come to the point where you must ask me some questions. I have a feeling I left out something. You ask me about it now. Let me put it in.
