Scripture reading: Matthew 25:6

At this time we are again two thousand years from the last Crisis from which the coming of Jesus Christ saved the world. Only this time again – evil, the population, and violence are increased out of all proportion. We are at the place now where the arsenals of the nations are so powerful that they could destroy life from the planet. God is holding back the forces of destruction, but very soon they will be unleashed.

The mighty cities of the world are the pride of man. Millions of people live in metropolitan areas, stacked upon each other in tall buildings, so that all the people of the city could not hold in the streets at the same time, neither could all the cars fit into streets at the same time. In the event of a crisis where people would be fleeing to get out of the cities, all the streets would be jammed so that no one would get out, and those who try to get out on foot would be overwhelmed by the crowds. The cities would become a death trap. The large metropolitan areas of the world are destined to become the funeral pyre of millions.

The deck is stacked against humanity. The people, who live in large cities, if they believe this to be the word of God, will begin to seek ways of relocating without panic. Those who do not believe will continue to build their roots in the cities. The time of this occurrence can be delayed, but the “…vision is certain and the interpretation thereof sure.” (Daniel 2:45b)

When God cast the angel Heylel out of the second heaven realm (where he dwelt before he became Satan), the Almighty cut him off from his source of food and energy. God is the source of all life, and nothing can live or move, or have being outside of God. The plight of devils, therefore, was profound; they were starved and weak. Adam, in his fall, changed this situation, and provided a ready source of food for Satan. God had cursed the Devil and said to him, “Dust shall be thy meat.” (Genesis 3:14) This dust is “Adam”, but the question is how do devils feed on humans? God breathed the breath of life into man, and the man became a living soul. The blood of man contains the breath of God, or in other words, the life of man is in his blood. When a man submits to a devil, he loses energy, and when a man’s blood is spilled, it give off life which devils feed upon. This is the reason why so many peculiar accidents occur and why they seem to occur in series. This is why there are so many murders and slayings and wars throughout the earth: Satan and his hosts are feeding upon humanity. Those who walk in the Spirit will have no problem with this, and if you do have a problem, then ask God.

How can we escape then? We must hear from God and obey. The first thing is that we must believe that we are in a time of crisis and that this is the crisis of the end of time; that this is not a time for us to have fun and do our thing, but that we must now find out the will of God for our lives and that of our families. When we know the truth, then God is expecting us to find out what He wants us to do individually and corporately, and ACT. Scripture records that there was a “…cry made, Behold the bridegroom cometh.” (Matthew 25:6) Those that heard the cry arose from their sleep, began to trim their lamps, and went out to meet Him. There must be action after direction. We are guilty of receiving direction and having no appropriate action. Some are guilty of action without direction. May God help us.

Do not say, “We will be in Crisis,” but say, “We are in Crisis.” Unfortunately some of us are still asleep, but thank God the bride is gradually awaking. May God bless this word to our hearts.

Thought for today: How can we escape the third world crisis? We must hear from God and obey.

Scripture reading: Hebrews 11:32-35

Another two thousand years had passed since the Flood and humanity had forgotten the judgment of God. Sin and violence had increased, as also the population of the world, far beyond that of Genesis 6. From Nimrod to the Roman Empire, the art of war and human dominion had come a far way. Evil had a firm grip upon humanity; so firm a grip, in fact, that Satan himself thought he was a winner:

Luke 4:6-7, “And the devil said unto Him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.”

From both the carnal mind and the satanic thinking, they could not see any way how God would redeem the situation. The world was again in CRISIS and again total destruction was possible. What would God do? Jehovah (Yaweh), the Almighty, sent His only begotten Son into the mess. He gave Him a flesh and blood body, and the plan of God to rescue Adam’s fallen race. God (who could not be tempted nor suffer weakness) had for the first time exposed Himself to weakness, temptation, and human frailty.

With millions of people in the Earth filled with the devil, Jesus Christ took twelve men and gave them the word of life. The strength of the SEED was so great that it brought light into the world of darkness, totally shattering Satan’s plan of total dominion. Satan’s counter-attack came through the very instrument which God had crafted to kill him. He seduced the Church and contaminated it with false doctrines, human doctrines and sorcery. She lost the power to destroy evil, being incorporated with evil herself, BUT God always retained for Himself a REMNANT.

The Remnant are Sons of God who are hardy and will not bow under the most trying circumstances. They comprise of men and women who are not afraid to die, and love the Lord more than their lives. In Noah and his family God found such a remnant. In Moses and his followers God found this remnant. In Abraham God found this remnant:

Hebrews 11:32-35, “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection.”

We can see then that in the midst of the second world crises, God sent His Son to shatter Satan’s plan and prepare the way for His Remnant.

Thought for today: The seed that brought light into the world of darkness two thousand years ago still has the same strength to shine His light into the darkness today.

Scripture reading: I Peter 3:19-20

It was almost two thousand years since Adam, and humanity had increased greatly, mainly because of the longevity of mankind at that time, and the virility of the species to reproduce at a very old age. In two thousand years there were many millions of people in the earth.

Adam and Eve’s son, Cain, did not only multiply in numbers, but in spirit. It was easier for man to follow his sinful nature and do evil than to do good, thus the multiplication of evil was very great. The nature of Satan (the adversary of God), and the nature of the destroyer, were bred into the human mind and heart, so that the solution of his problems consistently was based upon violence. Violence is like a cancer which multiplies itself, so the order of the world institutions was violence, and blood begets blood.

It is evident from scripture that the stigma of Satan was against this people, and that the violence in the earth, though it seemed to have engulfed all of humanity, was chiefly directed against the people of God. The evidence of this presents itself clearly when we notice that near the end of these two thousand years only eight righteous were left. They had been multiplying equally with the unrighteous, and the knowledge of God was disseminated among them equally, yet after two thousand years of geometric increase, they had dwindled down to only eight.

God, the Almighty, JHVH (Yaweh), by His own laws, cannot take away man’s free will choice, BUT He can take away the life of anyone who takes away the free will choice of others. This then was the crisis of the time and God’s righteous judgment of that moment. HE OFFERED SALVATION TO THE WORLD IN DEATH rather than allow life to be destroyed from the earth by violent men.

I would venture to say that millions of people from Adam to the flood to Jesus were delivered out of hell the day Jesus rose from the dead. It was not only the thief on the cross who was delivered from Paradise (hell) that day, but every human being who had died before Christ, who could accept Him as Saviour, was saved and lifted from hell to heaven. Their crisis was over. They had waited two thousand years for deliverance, and though the Deliverer had to go to hell to save them, He did. He purchased His ticket by taking the place of the sinner, and paid for it by His death. Those therefore who died in the Flood were given a second chance of salvation and all men before Christ had to meet Him and settle the question of accepting Him or rejecting Him.

It is important to understand therefore, that Jesus Christ stands at the crossroads of humanity; those before Him had to decide whether He is Christ and accept Him as their Saviour and those after Him must come to the same MOMENT OF CRISIS and make their decision about Christ. There is however one difference with the two sets of people. Those before him did not have His Blood (Life) and presence with them to prevent them from going to hell, so that any man who accepts Him as Saviour will not have to go there, for now (once you get there) there is no release. This is God’s preventative medicine.

The flood, therefore, was the first crisis of world-wide proportions which brought mankind to the brink of extinction. In summarizing this first CRISIS we must emphasize that the Almighty had to destroy mankind to save him from the satanic destruction of eternal hell. Man, by his violent ways, was about to change God’s plan for the earth and every time that this is about to happen, God must intervene and arrest the progress of sin.

Scripture reading: Joel 3:9-14

The word CRISIS comes to me as being most appropriate to describe the time in which we live. Webster’s Dictionary defines crisis as, “The decisive state of things, or the point of time when an affair has reached its height, and must soon terminate or suffer a material change; turning point.”

The Greek word is “Krisis” from the root word “Krino”, which means “judgment, final decision”. This adds somewhat to the meaning from Webster’s. It somehow shows the purpose behind every crisis: the culmination of a matter, or the final act of a pantomime, the revelation of purpose.

The CRISIS of our end time is more like the convulsions of a dying animal, wherein every part of its body is being shaken by sporadic tremors. We ask ourselves, “WHY?” And God Himself has an answer from the word, since HE designed it and created us for this very hour.

Joel 3:9-14

3:9 “Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:

3:10 “Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

3:11 “Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.

3:12 “Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.

3:13 “Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

3:14 “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.”

Three times in the 6000 years of human history, the world has come to the brink of extinction through the evil of Satan and the wickedness of man. Twice the world had to be saved in crisis, and this the third time, it will be again saved by Divine intervention. Each time however, it has been different, and the stakes have been raised. This time it is at its highest, and the crisis is upon us with a finality that must settle the question of evil forever and the whole question of human existence. In our future devotionals we will look at these three periods of time and see if we can more accurately understand our situation.

Scripture reading: 2 Peter 3:11-14

Let us turn to Revelation 19:7b today. It says, “The marriage of the Lamb is come, and the Bride hath made herself ready.” Now, the question is, when is the marriage going to take place? Brethren, have you ever thought of it, as to what stage in our relationship with God, is the marriage of the Lamb going to take place? Have you ever thought of that?

All right, we have the marriage of the Lamb and it is going to take place at midnight, in the midst of the trouble. We are now heading directly into that trouble. I want you to understand exactly where we are. We are not turning back, going back to peace. We are going into war and destruction. It is going to get worse, it is going to get worse, it is going to get worse. Many are talking about the economy getting better and so and so and so. The devil and the terrorists are going to strike again. Why are they going to strike again? Why is it our prayers won’t stop them from striking again? Because it is their time! The enemy is now loosed! God said that there were four angels bound in Islamic lands, that is the river Euphrates. There were four angels bound in that land and these angels were loosed on the eleventh of September 2001. Now they have the power to do destruction, so destruction is already given an open door. Don’t expect the circumstances to bring life back to normal. We are heading into it! Praise God! You know what we are heading for? We are heading for peace! We are heading for eternal peace! We are heading for, just down the road, Jesus Christ reigning and ruling on earth. In our minds it is a fable, it can hardly happen, but this is where we are heading. God is saying to us, “What manner of men are you to be?” If you know that the earth will soon be on fire, what manner of people are you to be? (See 2 Peter 3:11)

I am just telling you where we are, because we are just next door to the marriage of the Lamb. Let me explain to you why the marriage of the Lamb must come at midnight. The scripture says that IF God does not intervene at this time, when it gets very dark on the earth, then no flesh would be saved. That means that man has the ability to destroy human life from the face of the earth. You and I know it very well. So, if God doesn’t intervene, no flesh would be saved (Matthew 24:21 and 22). But we also know that He is going to intervene “for the elect’s sake.”
