God’s Point of View

Scripture reading: Numbers 12

The Lord has been speaking to me about the preparation of His temple. I want you to look at it with me today. The first temple mentioned in the Old Testament is the Tabernacle of Moses in the wilderness. Moses had to prepare this Tabernacle very precisely and then God began to appoint the ministry for it.

God said that if one of the ministers had a death in his family, he could not minister in the congregation until he was cleansed. I want you to hear me, brethren, because I believe God is speaking something very definite to us. If you had a death in the family in the Old Testament, if your wife or your child died, and you had to handle the dead, according to the Law that God gave Moses you could not just bury your dead and go minister again in the congregation.

This Old Testament principle has a spiritual meaning: If you have had a divorce or are going through a divorce, if you are going through warfare with your wife, or if your house has been out of order—do not minister! Put it aside. That does not mean that you cannot praise God. That does not mean that you cannot sing, but DO NOT minister. Do you know why? Because if you do, you will minister death to the congregation. God said that if you are unclean, you must go through a certain process until you are cleansed.

Miriam, Aaron and Moses’s sister, played the timbrel. When Egypt was destroyed, when the power of Egypt was drowned in the Red Sea, God anointed Miriam. She and the women began to dance and sing, “Praise God for the victory!” (Ref. Exodus 15:20). So then, Miriam was a mother in the church before God. However, Moses had married an Ethiopian woman. She was not an Israelite and it says in Numbers 12 that Miriam began to talk against her brother, Moses, because of his wife. It also says that, because of this, God smote her with leprosy.

We know that leprosy is a sickness. Somebody may say that God cannot put a sickness on you. But this is a case where God smote Miriam with leprosy. Moses went to God and said, “Oh God, save her!” God answered Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.” (Numbers 12:14) So they put her out of the camp for seven days until she was cleansed.

I want you to look at God and see how He works. He is not dealing with things from our human viewpoint, our angle. He is dealing with things from His point of view. The Tabernacle was made exactly as God would have it be made—stitch by stitch. The women had to do a certain amount of stitches to make the cloth for it because even the cloth was “holy.” Brethren, do you understand what we mean by “holy?” “Holy” means “of God.” We can just make it an easy description, “holy” is “GOD.” If God says so, then it is holy. If God does not say so, then it is not holy. So everything must either be holy or unholy! There is no in-between.

Thought for today: Let us therefore walk very carefully with God so that He can consider us to be holy and we can minister in His Tabernacle.

“Holy of Holies” People

[Printable version]

Scripture reading: 2 Timothy 3:1-5

Let us look little closer at 2 Timothy 3. It says in verse 1 that “in the last days perilous times shall come…” Now, we are in the “last days” and we are in “perilous times.” In other words, we are no longer reading, “…perilous times shall come,” but we are saying, “perilous times have come!”

Verse 2 says, “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.” Disobedient to parents. You know, some people have been disobedient to their parents and have never repented. They come to the church—they accept Jesus, and Jesus touches them and anoints them; but they still have the rebellion inside them! Get the rebellion out! You cannot be part of the firstfruits company with rebellion.

I do not know if you understand, but there are certain things that you can have in your life, and they do not disqualify you as a Christian since Christians are not perfect people. But there are certain things that will disqualify you from being a part of the firstfruits company. God is making an army to stand up under very severe circumstances and eventually give their lives for the church! The church cannot stand as it is, because it is incorporated with sin—sins of different types. The present day church cannot stand in the final battle, therefore God is taking some people out of the church; He calls them the “elect” (“eklektos” in the Greek). They are the “called out” of the “called out,” and He is molding them, beating them together, and beating them into shape!

Have you been beaten? Well, you need some more. Believe me, if you think you have been hit or you have been beaten, you are going to have some more—in order that you might be that people!

The Word of God says that there is a people, and I will call them the “Holy of Holies” people, though we are not there yet. I trust you will forgive me that I call them the Holy of Holies people. You are designated to be there, but you are not there yet. God has called us to the Holy of Holies, and we are to be molded, and beaten, and bruised until we rise above the normal, human, natural concept! We are going to rise in our minds! We are going to rise in our spirits! We are going to rise in our souls into heavenly places! Oh, yes! I am not a commoner, because I do not want to be! I do not have it in me. I want to be like Jesus Christ!

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, December 1997, pg. 13-14)

Thought for today: Remember, God has called you to the Holy of Holies and He is molding you, and beating you, and bruising you until you rise above the normal, human, natural concept and become part of the firstfruits company.

The Law of Warfare

Scripture reading: Romans 6:16

Where did Satan get all his power? If God did not give him a mandate, where did he get all his power? The answer is found in Genesis 1. Here we find that there was ONLY ONE MAN that God gave the power. Verse 28, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

This dominion was given to Adam, but it was lost by the deception in the Garden. Genesis 3:1-6, “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. There are laws in God’s business, one being the law of warfare, which says that by whom you are overcome you become his servant.

This law was quoted in a spiritual sense in Romans 6:16, “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”

2 Timothy 2:26, “And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. Satan takes men captive and when he takes them captive, he takes their kingdom. It is a law of war.

It is stated even clearer in 2 Peter 2:19, “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

Satan gets his authority by overcoming men. Our world has been drained of power because Satan is using all our energies and our power to hurt and destroy humanity. As the sons of God rise, Satan is trembling because he knows that his time is short.

Thought for today: Know the Principles and Laws of Spiritual Warfare and let us rise up as the sons of God and overcome Satan.

Scripture reading: Revelation 12:10-11

The reason we know that Satan’s head was bruised at Calvary is that the Blood of Jesus Christ WAS AND IS the key to the destruction of Satan. Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” You ask, how did Christ’s Blood overcome Satan? In Exodus 12, God told the Israelites to kill the lamb and put the blood on “the lintel and the two side posts” (over the post top and on the sides of the posts). When the evil spirits came, they could not enter the houses that had blood on the top and on the sides of their doors.

The reason is that the blood was put there BY FAITH. It was only the blood of an animal but with the faith in Christ that He would come and deliver them. The blood of the animal shone with the power of God from the door posts and the lintel so that it struck the evil angels which God sent into Egypt. It struck them and they had to flee from every house that had this blood and could only enter into the houses that were not protected by the blood.

The Blood of Jesus Christ becomes a weapon of warfare for the children of God. CALL UPON THE BLOOD, BRETHREN. Any time you are in trouble, call to God to send the Blood of Jesus Christ to stand up for you. You will see the power of God come to you, because the Blood is right here, right over us, hovering over us, waiting for us to utilize it for our defense. The Blood of Jesus Christ then became the weapon to the church that finally will destroy Satan and deliver the earth out of his hand. Praise be to God!
