Omnipotent Reigning

[Printable version]

Scripture reading: Revelation 19:6

Revelation 19:6a says, “And I heard as it were THE VOICE of a great multitude, and as THE VOICE of many waters.” Like when the sea begins to roar – that was the voice of the billions of people who were in unison, praising God. Verse 6b, “and as THE VOICE of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.” Thank God! How beautiful! How magnificent! How marvelous it will be when God really reigns in me! When I do not have to worry anymore about my own thoughts; fight with my own thoughts, my emotions, feelings; someone playing on my emotions, trying to get me to do something. I will not have to bother about that anymore. God will be in total charge. He will take over completely – ABSOLUTE REIGN.

We are writing about when God reigns IN ZION. The Scripture says that He “shall roar out of Zion.” Joel 3:16, “The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.”

I love the word “OMNIPOTENT.” Jesus Christ, who had laid aside His omnipotence, had again taken up His omnipotence, and He was now reigning in me and through me, over me and by me. This is what the church is rejoicing over. Omnipotent God, thou must reign within me! Omnipotent reigning!

Thought for today: This is what the church is rejoicing over: Omnipotent God, thou must reign within me!

The Glory of God

[Printable version]

Scripture reading: Revelation 19:1

Salvation has come, “and GLORY.It is peculiar that it should say “glory.” In the prayer in John 17:5, the Lord Jesus thanked the Father for giving Him the glory. Then in verse 22 He said, “And the GLORY which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.” In the Old Testament, Moses came down from the mountain and his face shone with the glory of God. Alleluia! This glory had come in the physical so that when men saw Moses they had to cover their faces so that the shining from his face did not hurt them. What physically happened? I can tell you at least a part of it. As Moses stood in the presence of God (though God had to hide Himself so that Moses could even stand there), the energy, life, power, and radiation from God came upon Moses. Something more than radiation came from God. It was the LIFE and the ENERGY and the POWER of God which came into Moses and shone from him. Notice, it wore off; it shone for a while and then it wore off.

When Jesus rose from the grave, there were two angels in white apparel and their faces were shining. A kind of glow came from them. The sisters saw the angels and the angels gave them the message about Jesus. In Revelation 1:16c John described Jesus Christ “and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.” Matthew 13:43, “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”

Luke 9:28-31, “And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he (Jesus) took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.” Here heaven and earth met together and there was a great shining, a glory that came out of Jesus Christ, and His countenance was altered. He became glowing and glorious, like an angel of God.

This glory is not just for Moses and those special people mentioned in the Bible, because in Romans 8:17 Paul speaks of this glory. “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also GLORIFIED together.” This glory, this power of God, this indwelling of the Almighty in His fullness is that which lifts the human being from the earthly realm into the heavenly realm. We could be on the moon or on the sun and it would not make any difference. Humanity would then be lifted to this heavenly realm. The voices in heaven were saying that the glory has come; that glory which they were seeking, which they were waiting for, HAS COME.

Thought for today: The glory HAS COME which will lift us from the earthly realm into the heavenly realm.

“Flow through Me”

[Printable version]

Scripture reading: John 7:38

We have a song which we sing, “Flow through Me.” That means the glory of God is flowing in the places we gather for fellowship, and it is flowing one through another. You would be surprised to know what is going on. You sit down in your chair and think certain things in your heart. And it starts flowing through the other person, and he thinks certain things and it flows through, and it flows, and it flows, and it flows, and it flows. The love of God flows through us, through one another. Now, there is something more that flows through one another, too. If we have wrong thoughts, the wrong thoughts also flow through each other. So, we need to flow one through another IN Christ.

Now, I understand that in the heavenlies, this thing is going to be on a bigger scale. I heard one man saying, “Boy, heaven wouldn’t be right if I didn’t have my wife in heaven.” Many of you must have also thought of what is going to happen, wondering if we will have a wife and husband in heaven. No, we won’t. Do you know why? Because the level on which we are in heaven is so much higher than the wife or husband level down here. God only gave us a wife or a husband in order to keep us together and let us learn how to love one another. But up there it is different. There is a flowing through and through. When you flow into the brother’s or the sister’s heart or mind, you see a whole vast area of magnificent glory. God calls it His mansion. You walk into God’s mansion, and you see all the glory that God has put into one soul. God has put His glory into every one of you and you need to begin to flow it out! Amen! Praise God. There is so much blessing in the midst of the people of God, so much glory of God and you don’t even know it! Begin to recognize one another. Begin to recognize the things, the way God is dealing with one another in love.

I remember the time when we were still in Jamaica, when we first started. It was all fire and glory. I don’t think we will ever see that again in our lives. There was one humble brother that didn’t preach, he didn’t do much, but when it came to counsel, we would always call Banker. We would ask him, “What do you see? What is the Lord saying?” And he could give you a proper counsel as to what God was saying. We have to realize that each person has a special manifestation in the Lord.

We used to talk of Sister Hermin. I would be preaching and in the middle of the message she would come with, “Ha! Ha! Ha!” holding her side. “What’s the story?” we would ask. It was a manifestation of the Spirit. Nothing was wrong with her side, but it would be paining her. And she would say, “Somebody here has a problem in their side.” The person would stand up and as we would pray for the person, Sister Hermin would be set free. Sometimes you have to laugh at the manifestations we saw there.

Praise be to God. There is something God is doing in every one of you, and it has to be done now. We have to stop fooling around. Time is short. God must bring to pass what He has ordained to be done. He must bring it to pass! Oh, God Almighty, help us!

Thought for today: God has put His glory into you and you need to begin to flow it out!

Scripture reading: John 17:20-22

Have you ever thought about the fact that God gave each one of you somebody to love? I am talking now to you children, you young ones who are not married. God has given you some people to love. You must love this people, this Body, your brethren, with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and you must love the Lord God. He says, “Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy might, AND thy neighbor as thyself” (Matthew 22:37-39).

But we come short. Yes, we come short! We sin against one another; we say things against one another. But we need to repent. We need to repent, because God is creating a Body in the earth! This is what God is doing! God doesn’t want any mighty preacher to go around healing and delivering everybody. Everybody has to wait until Brother So-And-So comes to lay his hand on them. That’s over with! God is creating a Body. Jesus is calling His bride.

The word comes to me, “That they may be one.” Let us read it in John 17:20-22, “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.”

So, if anybody comes to you, and says he is preaching and doing miracles in the name of the Lord, but he is not creating oneness among the people of God, he is not doing the will of God. For the perfect will of God is that we all may be one! You hear them talk about black church, some talk about white church, some talk about all the different kinds of ethnic and whatever else religious organization churches. All those are outside of Christ. He said, “In Christ, there is neither male nor female” (Galatians 3:28). IN Christ! So you have a wife and you must realize that in the Spirit, IN Christ, she is neither male nor female. It is just God lying down beside you, in your bed at night. And you have to be careful with her, tender, forgiving one another for Christ’s sake. As Jesus Christ forgives us, let us forgive one another (Ephesians 4:32). Let us love one another, as God loves us!

It is like a final word being given. Do you know why? We are at the end of the business. If we fail, God will turn away from us and choose another people. God chooses a group, He chooses one over there, He chooses one over there, and every one that fails, He puts them aside. If they turn church, He finds another group. Don’t you understand? God is trying to melt people into one. We must be one in Christ Jesus. We must have no dissimulations, no divisions that will divide us. We must have repentance. For right now we are not what we ought to be. But we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him (I John 3:2). So, the more of Jesus you have, the more you will be one with the brethren who are one with God.

For that reason, God has set certain things in our midst. God has put in our midst different arrangements. The brethren asked Paul, “How do we relate, one to another in the church?” He said, “The older women should be mothers. Then you have fathers, then you have brothers, and then you have sisters” (1 Timothy 5:1-2). So we should look at each other as brothers and sisters. Why? Is it not reality to you? Let me tell you how real it is. It is more real than your natural brother because the Blood of Jesus Christ which you have in you is in him, and in her, and in this one and in that one. The same Blood that flows through you, flows through them.
