Omega Message – January 1989
Cecil J. duCille
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come” (2 Timothy 3:1)
In other ages and at other times, parts of the world have known peril in a way that not many of us have. Many times minorities have faced extinction from enemies, and even in our time in Cambodia the Communist Khmer Rouge have brutally murdered in cold blood whole villages and millions of people. For those people at that time it must have seemed to be the very end of the world. In Germany during the last world war, six million Jews were massacred in the most brutal fashion. Many were starved to death and used for medical experiments; many were cast alive into ovens, and some were made to dig their graves while the brutal executioners stood over them ready to machine-gun them into the completed graves. Hitler would have succeeded if it were not for the Word of God, which made it impossible to obliterate “Shem.”
We would love to be able to say with Edgar Allan Poe, “Thank God, the peril, the danger is past,” but we cannot because this scripture in 2 Timothy and many other scriptures that back it up have not yet been fulfilled. It would seem that we are very close to its fulfillment, and the machinery for the dire peril of us all is already in place.
I believe that the words written by the apostle Paul as quoted above are prophetic for our time and that they are not just for specific parts of the world, but they are for the whole world. I think he was seeing in the Spirit a world-wide end-time peril that would hang over us like an evil cloud and descend upon the whole world, so that even as Christians we would all be in this peril. The reason for the peril was clearly stated in next verse of this passage: “For men shall be lovers of their own selves….”
Just let us pause at this phrase for a while and take a keen look at the idea of self-love. It is referred to here as an “end-time” vice, therefore it must be something more than the ordinary. Human beings are expected to love themselves to a degree, therefore we must conclude that what the Spirit is speaking here in Paul’s letter to Timothy has a comparative connotation. This means that it is saying, “For men shall be lovers of self more than others, or more than God.” Jesus said, “...love thy neighbor as thyself.” This means that God expects us to love ourselves to some degree. If we love self more than we ought, then self becomes our god, and “ALMIGHTY SELF” usurps the place that belongs to God in our lives. Do not be shocked at this phrase. The reason we do not see it in ourselves could be deception, for the deceived does not know that he is deceived, and that is true deception. This god of self is looked up to in the world, and exalted in our congregations. It stands at the door of our spiritual prosperity and destroys divine order in our operations. The Body of Christ is pushed into the shadows and the organizations of man are exalted.
SPIRITUAL MANIFESTATIONS AND THE NATURAL
There is nothing that we can see or feel in the natural that does not have a spiritual counterpart. In other words, it is the spiritual that created the natural, therefore that which is in the natural is a manifestation of the spiritual. The natural world is the child of the spiritual realm, therefore the basic foundations of reality lie within the spiritual realm. The history of the Church is written in the natural. We can look at the things that are happening to natural Israel and understand the things that are happening to the spiritual Israel. Spirits are not natural, so they seek to find an avenue of expression; they must manifest themselves in the natural. The expression of wars and strife in our world is all spirit-motivated. The nature of man prompts him to desire to have dominion over everything in this realm. Under perfection, before the fall, it was a virtue, but after the fall it becomes one of man’s greatest vices. If a man who is dominated by spirits has dominion, then those whom he dominates are dominated by demons. We therefore cannot pull back from wars and fighting unless we are submitted to Jesus Christ. The war in Israel between Jews and Arabs will only be resolved by the coming of Christ. The wars and fighting within the Church are caused from the lack of submission to Jesus Christ. The people of the churches are submitted to systems, bishops, and pastors, but not to Christ! However, most people will think they are submitted to Christ. This is part of the spirit of deceptive selfishness that does not permit those involved to see clearly the full extent of their involvement.
THE SPIRITUAL CONNOTATION OF AIDS
The natural disease called AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) develops in people after infection by a virus that destroys specific white blood cells. They succumb to various diseases, most notably cancer of the immune system. The great Architect of the human body created it with a built-in defense mechanism so that it would heal itself and destroy any disease that would attack it. However, natural behavior and the deterioration of the species has in some instances destroyed this immune system, and the body becomes defenseless and eventually is attacked and overcome by various diseases.
The problem in the Body of Christ today is akin to the AIDS virus in the natural body. If, however, the problem in the natural was as widespread as it is in the spiritual, then the world would not have many more years to survive. We see many of the one-man ministries falling or tottering, and it is common knowledge that there is now hardly any place that is clean. The peril that besets these ministers is very common to us all. The built-in defense system, which God puts in the Body, has been removed by the putting aside of God’s divine order, thus replacing it with man’s order. It is the same as “man ministering to man,” a “homo-ministerial” situation.
In the past the Church has been allowed by God to be fragmented and be kept fragmented by men of all kinds of persuasions, but in these last days God is judging His Church, and the judgment has commenced among the elders. Therefore, our problem in the Church is not what is attacking us, but it is how we are overcoming that which is attacking the Body. The virus has always been attacking, but the immune system of the Body was bravely holding out.
Let us examine the manifestations of this disease in the Body of Christ. In the natural, the main group of people who have this disease are the homosexuals and the IV drug users. These people repudiate nature by executing and living an unnatural life-style, destroying the body with drugs and foreign substances, and mixing bacteria from the elimination system with the blood. In Romans 2:27 it speaks about homosexuality,
“And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly….”
The picture is of a man giving the seed of life to another man who cannot reproduce. The spiritual parallel to this is when man, instead of ministering Christ, ministers self to others—giving sermons designed to produce something else in the believer other than Jesus Christ—sermons designed to make the believer a good Baptist, Catholic, “My sheep,” etc. The whole teaching of the churches seem to be designed to keep their members in their organizations. This kind of teaching is like a homosexual affair, with man ministering to “the man” in others, bringing forth no life—”soul appealing to soul.” Empty emotional preachings appealing to emotion, with the intention of raising funds or winning souls to increase numbers.
Recently I heard some statistics from a talk show host saying that forty per cent of the ministers of a certain denomination are homosexuals. This is not possible without there being something spiritually wrong. It is the same spirit that makes men believe false teachings which also makes them carry out false actions of sin.
Man stands at the head of these organizations, bringing forth the will of man, thinking that they are serving God. Therefore the immune system, which God has placed in the Body of Christ, is bypassed, and where the immunity should function all sorts of bacteria from the elimination system of the body are being injected. The immune system of the natural body is in the blood, as is also the immune system of the Body of Christ. The Blood is the life of the Body. The Blood of Jesus Christ, moving by the Holy Ghost through the Body of Christ, carries the agents of our immune system throughout the Body. These agents are designed to attack, isolate, and destroy germs that might attack the Body. In the Body of Christ, the servants and ministrations are so placed of God that they protect the Body. If these are removed or neutralized, then it will be a death sentence to that body. The Scriptures declare that Christ has set in His Church certain ministries to create within the Body their ministration. That is, the apostle will function under the Holy Spirit in such a way that the revelation of the Word through him will bring forth life in the Body. The prophet, through a word of revelation will correct the apostle, if necessary. The evangelist will go forth with the revealed word, and the teacher will teach the established truths in the assemblies. The shepherds also will function in their gift and calling, but all will be elders and examples to the flock.
When the Church rejects the God-appointed apostle, and in his place create their own (making their own seminaries to manufacture their own teachers so as to assure themselves that they will not change over time), then there is no immunity. The whole ministry becomes contaminated. God calls men, but then men train them to be less of God and more of man. The criteria is no longer Christ, but “exalted saint,” or “prophet,” or “teacher,” and in some cases some very unholy specimens of humanity who bring down shame upon the name of Christ and Christianity. Through this malpractice of Christianity, many of the heathen (who call themselves by various religious names) find solace in their benighted lot and blaspheme against the name of Christ.
I used to know one of the great evangelists of our time who operated a one-man kingdom. He had some genuine miracles and was not a fake, but there was one major sin in his life that I knew of, and that he would not let go of. He was defrocked from one of the large denominations for it and subsequently refused correction from brethren who worked with him, and eventually he established his own Nicolaitan organization. God did not take away the miracles and he became more and more deceived. When he advertised his meetings, the big banners would read, “Come hear god’s man of faith and power.”
One night, after one of his powerful meetings, I understand that an old lady approached him and said, “Brother, I have a message from the Lord for you.” He was indignant, and said as he rebuked her, “God would not leave me and send you to me with a message.” She stood her ground however and delivered her message: “The Lord says you must repent or He will destroy you.” It was not long after that he was found dead in a motel room with a bag of money which was collected the night before. His drinking habit had taken his life. The immune system had sent its last white corpuscle (soldier) to intercept the virus, but it was repulsed for the last time.
The apostle in the Church is that bar in Moses’ tabernacle that runs through the center of the boards, held by golden rings as shown here in figure 1.
THE BOARDS OF THE TABERNACLE
If this golden bar is removed, then the boards (the members of the Body of Christ) of the tabernacle could not stand in line. In our modern church, the ministry of the apostle, prophet, evangelist, shepherd, and teacher has been removed. There is no place for God to reprove His people. This has been and is being done in the seminaries and by the theological positions that the various churches take. In order to be an apostle of their group (they may not call you by that name, but the position of authority is the same), you would have to be trained by them and accept their doctrinal position. This in itself is counterproductive, in that it says, “I will listen to you if you are trained to say what I tell you to say.”
The divine ministry ordained of God to correct the Church and keep the Church in order is totally rejected by the churches. Whenever a minister gets a revelation from the Lord that would lift the status of the people of God, he is dismissed and disgraced. We know a sister who belonged to an organized church, who, being freshly baptized in the Holy Ghost, started to share her new experience with others of her denomination. One Sunday morning in a packed church the pastor called her out, “Sister Mary (name changed) is a disease. We want her removed from the congregation!” Of course, the poor sister almost had a heart attack. He was the disease, and the only healthy cell in the Body was attacked, so as to have it removed and that the AIDS could prosper.
If the prophet ministry is removed, then the evangelist ministry alone could not hold the top end of the boards. The boards represent individual people in the Body of Christ, in which every member is a functioning minister. In the case of the removal of the prophet ministry, then the evangelistic ministry would be out of line with all the other ministries. If the shepherd or the teacher ministries were taken out, the same result would occur on the bottom side of the structure. The fact is, that these ministries have been removed from the Church; and what did we replace them with? They were replaced with ministries who were trained by man and taught man’s thoughts about God rather than being trained by God’s thoughts. Man-trained and man-ordained ministries have become the norm, and the God-trained ministries have become the thing to be eradicated and despised.
I notice that due to the incursion of Satan into the business of the Church, the judges of the land (as well as many other government agencies that have to do with social affairs) are wreaking vengeance against those who have fallen into their hands who they call “cults.” The government, however, is nurturing the biggest cults with millions of dollars in grants and emoluments of all kinds. They are those who cloister humans, and have them under bondage by all the cultic methods known to man as well as by the lies they make them to believe. These denominations put up a great front of godliness while they bypass truth and murder virtue. Those who Martin Luther shouted down as antichrist have perfected their art, and they still have the governments of the world in their gold-lined pockets. All this has been made possible by the methodical eradication of the immune system that God has put in place. The unwritten law of God is that he whose immune system is destroyed will die from whatever disease he has. The devil ordained denominations, and therefore they are dying from diseases of their own making. They say they represent God, but every one of them, without exception, is working for goals which are not of God.
THE MULTITUDE OF COUNSELORS
Proverbs 15:22, “Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.”
Proverbs 24:6, “For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
The Lord has ordained that His Body on earth should be run by elders. One does not have to be a keen student of the Bible to know that the order of the Church set forth by God is perpetuated in the multitude of counselors rather then in a one-man ministry. The example of the five bars of the tabernacle is that of many holding up many—a body holding up itself by the order of its composition. The composition of the Body of Christ is: God in Christ; Christ in man; man in Christ. If this is hard to understand, then just pray about it for a while. If this is correct, then the church that teaches otherwise will not only lack spiritual prosperity, but will die from its own defection.
Proverbs 5:22, “His own Iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.”
Proverbs 6:23, “For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:”
I do not believe there is one good seminary. I have never seen one that in time did not fall prey to Satan.
To be a pastor of a congregation is to fly in the face of God. It is a disease that the Church caught from Rome, and Rome caught it from the devil; and although the judgment tarries, it is now surely coming to pass. The pastors of our day will not stand. You good men who read this message, flee from the city of condemnation, and relinquish putting yourselves in the position of Christ on earth. Cease from being lords over God’s heritage, and God will heal you.
Many of the brethren say they believe this message and get unto themselves a bunch of satellites that they call elders, but one visit to their congregations and you will realize that they only give the message lip service. God is the judge of all men and He shall bring them down also, with the others, that His Name may be vindicated. “Whose fan is in His hand and he will thoroughly purge His floor...” (Luke 3:17).
Which of you will get weary of truth? Some say they have listened and read these things for so long. Would you like to give up now only to find that the day for these truths to come to pass was just next door? “Be not weary in well doing” (Galatians 6:9, 2 Thessalonians 3:13). Do not begin to tear your brethren apart, because you see so many that have been preaching the Gospel in uncleanness.
Woe, woe, woe unto the Church, because the hour of judgment is come. Have mercy upon us, Oh God, for who will stand? My soul cries out in much anguish, and I feel so much like the “one eyed man in a blind man’s country.” There is no question that my vision is correct, but nothing will matter to dead or destroyed men. That is, it does not matter who is right or who is wrong in the face of disaster. God must have comforted Noah that his congregation would yet be saved by the coming of Jesus Christ, who went to hell to preach to Noah’s congregation. In our case, however, it is different.
Hebrews 10:26-31, “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, “Vengeance [belongeth] unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, “The Lord shall judge his people.” “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
Most of us as ministers of the Gospel love to think that the above words were addressed to unsaved persons. This is not so. It clearly says, “The Lord shall judge his people.” The whole context of the message is to the Church, the reality of which is about to break forth upon us with enlightening force.
In all my years in the Lord, I have never seen so great an attack by the world against the true Church. I understand that this is to dramatically increase in 1989, and that many of us who today would look through our windows, will be in the near future looking through bars. Let us pray that God will defend the innocent, because the world does not know the difference. Let us be very circumspect and above board in everything we do, for the darts of indictments will be flying around like straw in a storm, ready to pierce not only those who are guilty but also the innocent.
WHAT SHALL WE DO TO BE SAVED?
When the Philippian jailer saw Christ in Paul and Silas he asked the question, “What must I do to be saved?” The appropriate question for us at this time is, “What shall we do to save the Church?” The answer comes from 2 Chronicles 7:13-14:
“If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Judge in your own hearts, my brethren—are the leaders of the churches going to give up their leadership to God-appointed elders? Are the seminaries, which have taught a mixture of truth and lies, going to turn around, reject the teachers which have been trained and appointed by human thinking, and call for the apostles of Christ to come in and appoint God-ordained teachers? Are the denominations going to disband and let Christ appoint leadership in each local church from the local people? Are we all going to humble ourselves to accept one another, with the gifts that God has given for the Church being freely distributed? Are we going to share our offerings with others that are less fortunate? If we would do these things, then according to the Word of God, the AIDS epidemic that has crippled the Church would recede.
The churches have seen the problem and their answer and solution is that they are creating an “ecumenical” oneness that will produce a one-man head—quite likely the head of the Roman church. This will bring in the antichrist organization, even as the Bible describes it. It is an organization contrary to the organization that God has set in the Church:
“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues” (1 Corinthians 12:28).
If what God has set is removed, then God will set again, and no man will be able to remove it. This setting will be done in great tribulation and the Church will be purged as it must be before the Lord’s return. Let it be, Lord, that we might be delivered from the institutions of man.
