Omega Message – December 1991
Dearly Beloved Brethren,
We are praying that this letter finds you in the victory of Christ and abiding in the Vine.
On behalf of all the ministry in the four continents where we labor, let us begin by thanking you from the bottom of our hearts for your support of this ministry, which did not come by solicitation nor by coercion, but upon the action of God in your own lives. Thank you for believing the message of Christ, which we preach, and for walking in the Spirit and in faith.
The year 1991 has been a time of great testing, trial, trouble, and victory. There has never been a year like this, but we feel sure that 1992 will be worse in its trials and greater in its victories. Many who started the year with us will not make it to the finish, but we are praying that your faith fail not and that we might all stand together on the victory side with the Lord.
Let us first count our blessings, and speak of the marvelous victories we have had in the things of the Lord:
1. We have been greatly uplifted by the word that God has been speaking to us this year. It shows us clearly where we are in Him and what He is expecting from us in this hour. We seem to be standing before the veil in the Holy Place, where the priests of the tabernacle and temple would offer up incense to God at the altar of incense, which is before the mercy seat. Now, the Lord is demanding that we offer up our souls. Everything which is of the soul and the flesh in us is being attacked, and figuratively speaking we see them going up in smoke. The Lord is not leaving any sin or weakness in us unscathed by the fire. I humorously told the brethren that even my telephone was attacking me, which is the truth. The call to all the brethren at this time is to cut down upon and cut out all unnecessary activity. “Garage sale” all unnecessary goods and strip to the waist, as an athlete ready to make the run of his life:
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:1-2).
From the attacks that we are suffering, which seem to be negative, we will gain the greatest positive—for God is cleansing the temple.
2. SWITZERLAND: The hand of the Lord is upon the work in Switzerland, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Iceland, India, and England. For the new year, 1992, we see a great explosion of spiritual activity in which Europe will experience a mighty awakening. So far, what the Lord has been doing is just setting up stations to receive the harvest. It is indeed harvest time. The quicker we submit, ourselves to the purging of the Lord, the more we will be used of Him. We must remember that whenever a worker or a group of workers fail God, He will always call another, or another group. We know that God has given us a mandate to bring the TRUE MESSAGE OF THE KINGDOM to Europe, and if we please Him, the mouths of all the gainsayers will be stopped.
3. AFRICA: We have been blessed with the most ardent and dedicated people of God in Nigeria. Most of the elders there have truly caught the message of Body Ministry and the message of the Kingdom of God. Every kingdom must have a king, and the main thrust of the message is that JESUS CHRIST IS KING. They have seen this, not just as a song or a motto, but as a living reality. Many professionals in the work in Nigeria are laying down their lives and their professions on the message of the Kingdom. God has truly given us a people who will overcome. Because of this commitment and dedication, many denominational minded people who do not see either the Church or the Body of Christ are attacking them. As it says in 1 Corinthians 11:29b, “…not discerning the Lord’s body.” However, the tide of the power of the move of God in Africa will sweep away the “refuge of lies” (Isaiah 28:17) and bring down the high looks of the persecutors.
In Nigeria, the work is holding fast and growing, and in the coming year, 1992, we will see missionaries from Nigeria going to other African nations. We hope to move into radio broadcasting to reach out to the millions we have not yet reached. Pray with us.
4. INDIA: We have not been able to visit India this year, but we feel the Lord leading us to make it a priority for the coming year. The Lord had spoken to us that the message of the Kingdom should be preached in India also, but up to this point, after being there for over ten years, we are not satisfied that this message has taken root. Pray with us, for we do feel that this year will be the year when India will make a quantum leap forward.
5. ICELAND: Last year was a time of great victory in Iceland, but this year we have had much battle and reverses. We are thankful to God, however, that the work is still holding its own and that the gospel of the Kingdom of God has found root in several. We hope to be sending a team there early in this coming year and we trust that by the grace of God we will regain the initiative. Many religious spirits fight against this work, and the bishops and lords of the Babylonish system fight against every soul that is truly saved. Let us band together to pray for Iceland, for we know that there will be great overcoming victory in the year 1992. We speak the word of faith, that this will be the greatest year for the Iceland work ever.
6. ENGLAND: This year, Brothers Campbell, Jantzi, and Walter visited the brethren in England, and also Mavis and myself. The Lord is speaking a word in their midst which will bring them more together, and we are praying that the Lord will increase their strength greatly in the year 1992.
7. HUNGARY: The Lord has led the brethren to link up with brethren from Hungary, and, praise His Name, there is an opening for the preaching of the message of the Kingdom there. Please include this field in your prayers, and keep us before the throne of Grace that we might walk in the principles of Christ as we go forward with the word
8. EUROPE: As a whole, Eastern Europe is being opened, and we do not know how much more time we have before it is closed again. Although everywhere the people are saying “peace and safety,” we are seeing the stage being set for much trouble to come suddenly upon her. There are openings for us to go into other countries in Europe, and God is raising up a strong ministry among His people who will be able to carry His word much farther than we could go. Let us pray therefore that the Lord will send laborers into to His vineyard, for, “…the harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few.”
Those who are afraid of battle in the things of the Spirit, should pray for strength, or ask God to take them out of the world in 1992.
Some of the spirits, which did not know that their time was short during 1991, will find it out in 1992. This means that they will be fighting to disrupt our lives with a desperation that we have not seen in the past years.
“LOOK OUT, CHURCH! EVE WAS DECEIVED.” These words were spoken by the Spirit some time ago, and the reality of it is striking home so forcefully that every woman should now know what it means. The marriages are under attack: Many women are being literally driven from their homes by spirit power, and many men are allowing it because they are looking in the natural and not in the spiritual. Yes, mid-life crisis can cause hormonal problems in the physical body, but if we blame mid-life crisis or any other natural problem for un-Christ-like behavior, then we are saying that Christ did not save us in a way that we could overcome these things. Men and women of old, and men and women all through the ages have been overcoming these things, and we are expected to overcome them now. It is true that satanic power has increased, but the Lord has given us “power over the power of the enemy” (Matthew 28:18, Luke 10:19), and this increase in the enemy’s power means that our power in Christ Jesus has also increased.
The enemy is bringing up all kinds of reasons why homes should be broken up, but God has one reason why they should not, and that is, “What therefore God hath joined together, let no man (or devil) put asunder” (Mark 10:9). The devils are now telling couples that it was not God who joined them together, but we cannot believe that lie, because what God did not join together, when we got saved and dedicated out lives to Him, He did consecrate, and that which God consecrates is joined together of Him.
Deception is crowding in on the minds of many couples, and turning them away from the truth. Sexual activity outside of one’s partner breaks a marriage, but God has called us to peace, and He wants us to restore that erring partner to Him, and then to his or her partner. Nevertheless, it must be understood that any Christian who participates in a marriage that has another partner aboard is part of a tripartite adultery:
“What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh” (1 Corinthians 6:16).
God expects a Christian who falls into this desperate position to remain celibate until God Himself offers some release. These are some of the fiery trials which some of us are called upon to overcome at this time. May God help us.
In the coming year, 1992, by the grace of God we shall have our annual Illinois Convention in our own building in Champaign, Illinois. God has allowed us to sell the old church building, and has given us the grace to build a new one where we will be able to have a school, facilities for a youth ministry, an accommodation for some retired persons, housing for the ministry, and whatever other vision God will give as we go on by faith. “Without a vision the people perish.” It is too late to turn back now—let us go forward in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
We bless you with the blessing of the Lord, and may the strong angels of God stand at your right hand, and defend you in this dark hour against all the concentrated might of Satan. Remember Satan is our enemy, not mortal man.
