Omega Message – June 1983

The Urgent Need of the Hour:
The Word of God states that the Last Message that will be preached before the End comes, will be the message of Repentance and Remission of Sins:
Luke 24:47 “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
Repentance a Completed Work of Grace:
The Apostle Paul in speaking of Repentance mentioned that it was not only, “…sorrow for sin” but, “Godly sorrow for sin”. There is a vast difference between sorrow and Godly sorrow. Many times a person’s sorrow is mixed with many complex feelings. A man caught in the act of stealing is brought before the judge…..He weeps bitterly, but he is weeping because he was caught and disgraced etc. and he repents of having done the deed, only because he was exposed. This is not true repentance, and sooner or later he will repent of his repentance.
2 Corinthians 7:9,10 “Now I rejoice not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were sorry after a Godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
7:10 “For Godly sorrow worketh repentance to Salvation, not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.”
It is true that one does not have to understand all the rules concerning repentance in order to repent, but if the heart and desires are pure, then repentance will come to the believer from a godly motive.
Repentance must necessarily carry three deliberate actions on behalf of the repentant believer:
- STOP – The believer must desist from the sinful operation, whatever it might be. One cannot repent and continue to sin with the hope of some deliverance from the active participation or mental indulgence.
- TURN AWAY – A rejection of the sin must be willfully and deliberately done.
- TURN TO GOD – The only source of power against sin is God. The vacuum in the believer’s life which caused him to sin in the first place, must be filled or satisfied by God, and this will prevent a reversion to that particular sin.
Repentance therefore, is not complete until the believer has completed this third and last stage.
This definition of repentance is indeed an indictment against most believers and sometimes whole congregations.
The question most believers ask is – “For what should I repent?”
The first answer to this question is that we should repent of what we are instead of what we should be. We received the Grace of God and have tasted of the Powers of the World to come through the Holy Ghost – We have the capability to save the whole world – BUT ARE WE?
In our last issue I wrote on page 6 – “The people of the End-Time Body of Christ who have come out of the Organized Churches and are meeting in homes and buildings of all description, are guilty of resisting the holy ghost.”…. Many brethren have called and written to me requesting clarification on this quote, and for the most part I have been unable to answer them because of pressure of work. I will attempt to explain this quotation at this point, because it is the same lack of repentance that I see in our midst. I know that at this time the Spirit of God is calling His true saints to repentance and this is the need of the hour.
We have been traveling through the United States now for more than Fourteen years and are intimately acquainted with the different groups and churches, their operations and beliefs. I have seen the greater number of the groups making little or no effort to walk in Divine Order.
As a people we have an inheritance from Babylon and Egypt, therefore great effort must continuously be made both in our personal lives and in our corporate Body life to overcome a spirit and mark of the beast which is already in our midst.
Many of the groups are submitting to the rule of man instead of the rule of God. Most of the brethren do not even know the difference. Some complain that I teach the rule of God and cut down the authority of the elders. This of course is not true, but what is the difference?
God rules the church through Jesus Christ, but man rules through his own thinking and that of evil spirits.
What does it mean to rule the church through Jesus Christ? The church being ruled by Jesus Christ means that the elders and the brethren will listen to no other voice but Christ’s. It means that they will recognize the voice of the Lord: regardless of what vessel the Lord uses. They cannot recognize personalities, nor sex nor anything but Christ. He is the head of the congregation, and all the elders are in subjection to Him and to him alone.
The rulership of man puts a man or men in charge and whatever they say is law.
In some cases there has been a TURNING BACK in which those who once believed in the divine order of God – Christ being the head of the church – have now turned back to take charge themselves, because they feel that there has not been enough progress or order. It is not difficult to have order where man reigns supreme. To rule by law is not Divine Order, because God desires to bring forth sons and if men and women are regimented to work together or to do anything, then they will work like trained horses, but the chief work which God desires of change in the heart of man to be like Jesus Christ, will not be accomplished. We cannot be Justified (Made Just or righteous) by works.
In the churches and groups which are not listening to Jesus Christ our Lord in this hour are having a measure of worldly prosperity, financially and in numbers, but lack spiritual development. If they remain in this condition much longer, they will fall in that category of the “foolish virgins”. I know this because I have heard it of the Lord.
I have received a direct order from Jesus Christ himself: “Do not own God’s people;” This was given to me in a face to face meeting with Jesus Christ. There is not the slightest doubt in my heart that those who occupy the position of Pastor and Reverend and all those titles, are doing so contrary to the word of the Lord and the Spirit of Christ. Pastor IS a ministry, not a position.
The third stage of Repentance is the stage at which the believer makes Jesus Christ King. The Spirit of God is grieved because a lot of lip service is being paid to this issue, but not in reality.
God is at this moment speaking to a people who I know will arise and walk with him in Spirit and in truth.
The Spirit of God is grieved because many of those who are called to the First Fruits Company are being pulled by doctrines of devils coming from some of the highly respected ministries.
At this very moment the Anti-Christ is being birthed in the church. The watchmen on the high places of Zion figuratively are blowing the trumpet because they see the manifestation in the Holy Place. I mean that in the church realm there is a manifestation which is being accepted as Christ, but which is Anti-Christ. I mean that in the Soul realm there are manifestations which are accepted by the world and by the church as Christ, but which is Anti-Christ.
Let us deal with the manifestation in the church:
The Baptism of the Holy Ghost is a marvelous and wonderful experience. The glory of it lifts the human spirit and soul to a height which gives it a glimpse into heaven. It gives the believer power to overcome sin and on the whole brings him nearer and nearer to Christ likeness; BUT what do we see today? People receiving what seems to be the baptism of the Spirit and then they become more churchy, and it could not be said of them that they have put on Christ. They fall in to errors like Discipleship, Shepherding, get unto themselves rulers to rule over them spiritually; turn back to Catholicism, Protestantism, and all the other Schisms.
I Timothy 4:1-3 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
4:2 “Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
4:3 “Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which god hath created to be received with thanksgiving:”
The scripture calls the Holy Ghost the “Spirit of Truth” and says that when “He comes he would teach us all truth and would lead us into Christ” (John 16:13-14). How then is it that leaders of God’s people who we have known for years to be true men of God, in this last time, are turning back on truth and leading many people into false doctrines and behavioral errors? The sad answer lies in the scripture above – “….some shall depart from the faith.” The question still persists, however; Why would they depart at this time? And if so what hope do we have when the mighty are falling? Our hope is in God. He never promised to save by many or by few, but those who trust in Him shall be like Mount Zion, they shall never be removed.
Because I am in the forefront of the business of the Gospel I am privileged to see and hear much more than the average person. One day when I saw the frightening situation of the mighty falling on every hand, I cried to God – “Lord what shall the poor sheep do?” The Lord told me that I was looking in the wrong direction, that there were some of those “little people” on whom He was depending – they would not bow the knee to Baal. It greatly encouraged me and I hope it does you. Men are departing from God at this time mostly because they are deceived. Men are deceived because they do not really want God – “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.” (Romans 1:28).
Let us bring the story nearer home: If we believe the word we preach, then the only proof is that we walk this word out to the letter, and in the Spirit. If we believe that anti-christ usurps Christ in the mind and operation of the believer, then we will not only hate the thing in the lives of others, but in our own lives. If in our daily operations we reign and rule over others, and deny others the freedom of expression, no matter how wrong they may be, then our dissent from Romanism etc. is not valid.
We need to repent of this.
No Pastor who is head of congregation or brother or sister who rules or manipulates others is genuine in his/her belief in Divine Order. Many of the sisters rule their husbands by manipulation. We need to repent of this. Many of the men domineer over their wives and household. We need to repent of this.
Is the coming forth of Christ in your wife/husband your chief endeavour in life? If not then repentance is necessary.
Is the Body of Christ (that body of people who are striving to be led of the Spirit daily) your chief hope and joy in life, are they number one in your heart? If it is not so, then we must repent of this shortcoming before the Lord.
Do you long for the Kingdom of God to come within you, and do you yearn to be rid of all the shortcomings and sins in your life? If this is not so, then repent of it.
Is Jesus Christ your absolute Lord, or have you crowned Him many times only to find that you have taken back the crown unto yourself. If so then this needs prayer and fasting and deep repentance. Sometimes self reigns not because we want him to do so, but because he seems too strong for us. Cast him down by prayer and fasting.
Never go into sudden fasting. If you have not fasted for a long time, do not throw your body into shock with a sudden fast. Take it gradually – a half a day at a time until you feel in your body that you can take more. Take water in your fast, and citrus and honey (pure) would not hurt or disturb the fast. Fasting is like an atomic bomb compared with another type of bomb. It is necessary for the breaking of the strongholds of the enemy.
Are you participating with the anti-christ or are you part of the false prophet ministry of the anti-christ? I am sure every last one of my readers will say NO! But wait a minute- I think the only way you could be sure is if you knew who or what the anti-christ was. If not, then you could possibly be rubbing shoulders with him or participating with it, without knowing. The problem definitely belongs to the church, since the scriptures declare that the anti-christ is coming forth in the church. What? Where is that in the scriptures?
Matthew 24:15 “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the HOLY PLACE, (whoso readeth, let him understand)”.
When this was written and spoken by Jesus Christ there was a temple standing, but He could not have meant that temple since in the second verse of the same chapter He prophesied the total destruction of the temple. There are only two other references made to a temple in the Word of God, and those are (1) The human being as a temple and (2) The church as the temple or dwelling place of God. The Anti-Christ will therefore stand up and rule over that section of the church which is called the HOLY PLACE. In the human realm the soul is called the Holy Place, and in the Church realm the church which believes in the Holy Ghost and the gifts is called the Holy Place. We see from this Word very clearly that the time will come when the anti-Christ will stand up and reign over the church. Let me give you another scripture which says the same thing:
2 Thessalonians 2:4 “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped: so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
If we are truly in the End-Time and if we do really believe this, then the church or the kingdom of the anti-christ must be part of the church system we now know. The passage in 2 Thes. Says that he would show himself in the temple as Christ to be worshipped as Christ.
We notice a movement in the church to bring all the churches together into one church with one man at the head- Ecumenism – If the position of a one man headship is not of God, then it must be of Satan. I have been told of God that this position is not of God, and have been warned to keep away from it.
The end result of the ecumenical movement could not only have one meaning, that we are seeing the formation of the Kingdom of the beast and of the anti-christ.
If this then can be accepted by the reader, it would mean that we are about to see the man of sin in person; Because whosoever heads this Kingdom or Church will be the Anti-Christ and he will appoint unto himself a false prophet.
I have heard many false prophesies in the churches. False prophesies of prosperity and false prophesies of peace, but let us take heed that we do not become a part of or participate in any way with the Anti-Christ and his prophet. The Bible does not only speak of a multi-membered anti-christ and false prophet, but also of an individual head and many of us are carelessly supporting and participating in many things without being deliberate. Whether our participation is deliberate or not, the scripture says that we will receive of the curse that God has put upon this wicked end-time manifestation.
I would like to give one last scripture and ask you to pray about repenting of any involvement:
Daniel 8:25 “And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand, and he shall magnify himself in his heart and by PROSPERITY shall destroy many.”
Prosperity is not a doctrine of God. It is a Divine Principle. When we speak of a Divine Principle we mean a function of God’s Order which works when we align ourselves up with it. For instance “Cast your bread upon the waters and you shall find it after many days”. This did not say that if you are a Christian and you cast your bread upon the water you will find it. Anyone who works with this principle it will work with him; BUT if I turn this into a DOCTRINE, then I will be saying to the saints, if you want to find bread then cast your bread upon the water. The motivation would be greed and not God, therefore I would by so doing change the word of God into a lie. This is the twist that the above Scripture speaks of, that the Anti-Christ would use as a doctrine to destroy many. I would rather that God prosper me in the Spirit than in the natural.
Let us repent of giving our gifts to God, and expecting to receive abundance in returns.
