It is possible that a message of this nature can become so hackneyed that it looses its effect upon its hearers. The enemy of our souls capitalizes upon this, therefore it becomes necessary for the Holy Ghost to keep on reminding the church of the grave danger of “sleeping” when we should be awake and trimming our lamps.
Recently the Lord has been bringing to my mind some new angles to this word which I trust by the Grace of God I might be able to pass on to your pure minds:
There are two things which the Scriptures speak of as delaying the return of the Lord:
- The Non-Preparedness of the Saints
- “The man of Sin (Lawless one) must first be revealed,”
The Non-Preparedness of the Saints:
It is possible that from our perspective the church is unprepared and out of joint and yet there could be a people outside the range of our perspicacity who are ready and waiting for their Lord, and that in our narrow vision we are missing God in feeling that He could not possibly come now, just because we are not ready. This is just conjecture, but could it be possible that each person in his little world of self could live under the illusion that he/she is in the First Fruits Company, when in fact he/she is still in the outer court? I think it could be. Let us read:
2 Thessalonians 2:
2:11 “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:”
People who are under the influence of a delusion believe that they are right; having submitted to the spirit of the delusion they gradually lose the knowledge of truth, and little by little are drawn into the maelstrom of error. I am not speaking of sinners who do not know Jesus Christ as their savior, but of Christians, some of high standing and esteem in our midst, who for years have been wounded by the enemy and have hidden the festering sore without receiving healing. Many have gone undetected in the church, mainly because they create around them an atmosphere which covers up the wound. This is the climate which is conducive to Satan and he finds an inroad into the believer, who is hindered in his progress in God and hinders others by his preaching in error.
Every man thinks himself immortal. If you see an army marching to war and you should speak to every individual of that army, each man has the hope of coming back alive, although he knows that some will be killed, in his mind he thinks it will be his neighbour and not himself. In this sense men and ostriches are alike – hiding the head in the sand even to the last moment -. The truth is however, available to one people – the Church. “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
Doctrines Against Christian Preparedness:
1Timothy 4:
4:1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
4:2 “Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
4:3 “Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”
The preaching of false doctrines and the creation of this massive confusion is being done by the vicious spirits of darkness of the end time.
Human beings are only pawns in a vast war that is being waged against humanity. We should never consider men as our enemies. We all have one common enemy. Satan and his host of devils is my enemy’s enemy as well as mine.
“…..forbidding to marry……” (I Tim. 4:3) The doctrine of non-marriage is now firmly believed on in the world, but it is also increasing in the church among every type of Christian. Some churches forbid their ministers to be married, which is not of God, but in every church there are those who say, “I am going to be like Paul”, which also is not of God. What then did Jesus teach concerning this?
Matthew 19:
19:10 “His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
19:11 “But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
19:12 “For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.”
The teaching of Jesus on marriage is very clear and simple: If a man is not a eunuch then he should be married. It transpires that if a spirit comes to a young man or woman and says, “the Lord says you should not be married,” then that man or woman should know that it is not the voice of God, if he or she is not a eunuch. On the other hand if he is a eunuch God would not have to tell him not to marry; he just could not consummate a marriage.
All normal people should be married. Some “strain at a gnat and swallow a camel” (Mat. 19-24). We find that among those who covenant not to be married, without it being “given” to them as Jesus said, there is a high incidence of sexual depravity. This doctrine therefore, is a weapon of the devil against the church.
Errors in the Doctrine of Christ:
The Doctrine of Christ is the most attacked doctrine of the whole Bible. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as his/her Saviour, he automatically rejects Satan and his spirits who in the past had ruled over his/her life. Satan however, keeps on fighting to prevent the Christian from growing and making Jesus King of his life. In this effort the devil appeals to the carnal nature of the individual and slightly twists doctrines which appeal to man’s nature and satisfies the ego rather than the Christ within the individual. Here are some examples:
- The doctrine that we receive the Holy Ghost the moment we accept Jesus as Saviour is an error; It is designed by Satan to prevent people from seeking the Holy Ghost, thus stops them from going on in the Lord and in truth. The scripture says, “He will guide you into all truth.” (John 16:13)
- The doctrines of Pre-Tribulation rapture, Post-Tribulation rapture and Mid-Tribulation rapture are all doctrines of error designed to throw us off our guard. Jesus Christ Our Lord never once in all His preaching mentions a “rapture”. When He was asked about his return and the end of the age, He made a careful point by point answer. He mentioned the tribulation and the travail of the Church, wars and rumors of wars, the suddenness of a secret coming, “thief in the night,”(I Thes. 5:2; 2 Pet. 3:10;) and the open coming in the world – “…and they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Mat. 24:30)– BUT he never mentioned a “rapture”.
The most significant scripture which tells of no rapture as is taught by the churches, is Matthew 24:38-39:
Matthew 24:
24:38 “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
24:39 “And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
I emphasize the words “…took them all away…” because these same words of Jesus were repeated by Luke and he translated what Jesus said as, “destroyed”.
Luke 17:
17:26 “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
17:27 “They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
17:28 “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
17:29 “But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.”
We cannot deal with this fully here, but do have a publication which would go into more details.
This doctrine is designed by Satan to prevent Christians from being prepared for the Coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ must come in a secret coming within the Church before he comes openly in the world. Therefore two will be on the mission field working, one will be arrested and taken off to judgment and the other left; two will be in the bed (a relaxed position waiting for the Lord), one will be arrested and taken off to judgment, and the other left. The preparation for the Coming of Jesus must be within the Human Heart.
In the time of the first coming of Jesus Christ, the learned men of the Jews who were looking for his appearing, missed him completely. This happened because, in spite of the Scriptural prophecies which they had and which were so accurate, they interpreted the scriptures with the carnal mind and saw through carnal eyes – and came to carnal decisions.
Pre-Tribulation rapture is now too late, since the Tribulation has already begun.
(1) Jesus Christ our Lord is the Only Begotten of the Father. There is none like Him neither will there ever be. We will be like him, but never in the sense of being the Only Begotten Son of God. We are created in Him, therefore it is of the devil for anyone to call himself Christ. Jesus is the Head, we are the Body.
(2) The time of Christ’s coming: The scripture says that no man knows the day nor the hour of the arrival of the Son of Man. The term “day nor hour: signifies the exact time, but the word also tells us that we would or should not be taken unawares:
I Thessalonians 5:
5:4 “But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5:5 “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.”
What we do know is that “at midnight” there will be the cry made “Behold the bridegroom cometh.” This cry will be made at the darkest hour of humanity. The forces which are driving us into this hour of darkness, are in an advanced state of preparedness. Many are telling us that an atomic war is not going to take place, that there will be no attack on the United States. This atomic war, this attack will bring us into Midnight, when the very survival of humanity will hang in the balance. God will intervene and save humanity, because of the Elect.
Those who are preaching peace and prosperity are not hearing from God. The plan of Satan is to get people so PRE-OCCUPIED with prosperity and physical healing that they miss the main point of preparedness, which is the preparedness of the INNER-MAN.
The Blood of Jesus:
(3) Many Christians believe that the “Blood of Jesus” is only a symbolic utterance speaking of the pouring out of the life of Jesus Christ for us: BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS is the Life of God which walks and talks within the believers, and covers us and protects us, and is our chief WEAPON against all satanic forces.
Michael the Arch-angel used the blood in his break through to take the message of life to Daniel; Moses used the blood in Egypt to prevent the evil angels of death from entering the houses of the Jews. No devil can stand the brightness which comes from the Blood of Jesus Christ. These principles will work for those who believe them. Without this understanding of the Blood the believer cannot be an overcomer.
The Virgin Birth:
If Mary was not a Virgin then Jesus is not God. Anyone who believes that Mary was not a virgin as the scripture says, cannot really have Jesus Christ as saviour. To save us from our sins He had to be God and man, and if the scriptural account is wrong then we would have no saviour.
Humanism:
HUMANISM is any thing, any doctrine which exalts the human person above or equal to the stature of Jesus Christ. This more than anything else is preventing the preparedness of the church.
Is Jesus Christ Lord of Your Life?
The word Shepherd in the Bible has been translated into a Latin word “Pastor”. This word in our understanding carries a different meaning from the Greek “Paimenas” – shepherd-. Ephesians 4:11, The scripture speaks of SHEPHERD as a MINISTRY and not as an office. The church has no power to bestow upon a person a ministry as Apostle, Prophet, Shepherd, Evangelist, or Teacher. These are attributes and endowments of God. The church cannot appoint someone as an Apostle and even so the church has no right to appoint a Pastor or Shepherd. If therefore, one has a SPIRITUAL HEAD appointed of man, one has a hindrance to her/his spiritual growth.
The Shepherd in the Bible-sense is one who goes before the sheep as an exampler. The Elders of the church are designed of God to be an example to the flock. God in the midst of the congregation dispenses the Ministries and the Gifts.
Whether it is in a local situation or in a universal sense, a man cannot be the head of the church.
Ecumenism and the One World Church:
The submission of the church to Man-appointed Ministries will lead to a One-World-Church. It is a truth that is hard to receive, that, many churches who would resist the One-World-Church movement are weak in their resistance, because they have a double standard. They speak against a one-man head of the universal church, while they have many heads of their own. More than this, every individual “Pastor” is the head of his congregation, and in my opinion “Lord over God’s heritage.”
Discipleship; Shepherding, etc.:
It is stated by Jesus Christ that the disciple cannot be greater that his Lord. It transpires therefore, that those who are involved in discipleship are DOOMED to be less than the person to whom they are discipled, and these persons, being in error, are not seeing Christ as they should. Shepherding is only another name for discipling and any other name by which it is called would still leave it just as repulsive and hideous to God.
The One Man Ministry:
The ministry of the one mighty preacher with many little followers around him or her, is over. Take note of how they are falling. The scripture states that the “Stars would fall from heaven,” This is it.
The reason for this is not hard to find. God is building a body. The nearest and dearest thing to His Heart is that the Body of Christ may be one even as he and the father are one. Everything therefore, which detracts from, or hinders the coming forth of the body will be moved out of the way. The authoritarian spirit of rulership in the church is being eradicated. Young men and women who are called of God to Servantship in the church should seek to submit one to another and to learn Godly submission, rather than seek to be in a position of freedom where they can be their own bosses.
Communion Ordinance:
One of the earliest doctrines which has been tampered with by Satan is the doctrine of Communion. The first error that was brought into the church was called “Transubstantiation”, which teaches that when the priest blesses the wine, it becomes blood, and the bread becomes the actual flesh of Jesus Christ. This of course is false; a simple test by anyone can prove this to the contrary.
A later and more modern error is that Communion is not necessary at all. This error put its adherents in the Holy of Holies spiritually, and in short makes them perfect. Satan uses this to divide the people of God. It is a doctrine which thrives upon human ego, and therefore tends towards Humanism.
Communion ordinance as celebrated in almost all the churches directs the believers to remember the physical body of Jesus Christ and is more or less denominational or sectarian in its approach. This is error designed by Satan to turn people away from the truth of the gospel.
Communion truly is a remembrance of the body of Christ, instituted of Jesus Christ in the church, to maintain the Unity of the Spirit;
I Corinthians 10:17 “For we being many are one bread and one body;”
Any sin against any individual of the body is a sin against the whole Body. In this same sense a sectarianistic communion would not be the Ordinance Jesus Christ instituted. The bread is a type of His Body which we are, and the wine a type of His blood, which we have. (The Life we receive and give one to another.)
Baptism:
Baptism means immersion.
- Baptizing infants is error.
- Baptizing persons without a salvation experience is error.
- Baptizing as an initiation into a church membership is error.
- Baptizing by sprinkling is error.
Baptism is not a magic act which transforms those participating, supernaturally, but it is a Contract made with Jesus Christ to follow him in His Death, Burial and Resurrection to live a new Christ centered life. Baptism is divided into three phases:
- Baptism into Water – administered by a servant of God.
- Baptism into the Holy spirit – administered by Jesus Christ himself – Matthew 3:11,
- Baptism into Christ – administered by the Holy Spirit – I Corinthians 12:13.
In summary let me state these very important facts:
Without Baptism:
Without Baptism in Water the believer is denied the experiential understanding of what the Baptism in the Holy Ghost is.
Without the Baptism in the Holy Ghost the Christian cannot grow and overcome, Neither can the Christian be Baptized into Christ.
Without the Baptism into Christ, the believer cannot enter into the Holy of Holies or be of the First Fruit Company. Entering into, is different from Christ entering into you. Christ enters the believer when he receives the Holy Ghost, but the believer enters into Christ when he is consistently obedient to the Holy Ghost, and becomes obedient under the headship of Jesus Christ, not under any other headship.
Ultimate Reconciliation, Etc.:
Ultimate Reconciliation or Universalism or whatever other name it goes by, is a grave heresy which affects and weakens the body. It is born out of a twisted concept of God. Most of the people who believe this heresy have had some unreconciled confrontation with God, and have come away with a misunderstanding of the nature and purposes of God.
The doctrine believes that a good God will not send his creatures to hell. It also makes hell a temporary place of punishment that one day will be reconciled to God. It is based upon scriptures which say that God will reconcile all things to himself, and on the word “aenion” which is translated eternal in most places and “for a time” in some places.
The truth is that God is going to reconcile to himself all things that he made that are his, BUT he will never reconcile something which was not His in the first place. GOD NEVER MADE A DEVIL, therefore he cannot reconcile devils. He never made a Hitler or for that matter any sinner. The Word records that He made all things Good and that he will reconcile that He made.
Genesis 1:31 “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”
John 1:3 “All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”
Here is a verse which gives a good idea of what God means when he says he made a thing:
Isaiah 43:7 “Even every one that is called by my name for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”
Here is another scripture which speaks of God reconciling all things:
Colossians 1:
1:20 “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say , whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
1:21 “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
1:22 “In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
1:23 “If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;”
After reading these verses there is no way that anyone in his right mind could say they refer to devils and those who are in hell. They are specific in their reference to those “things in earth or things in heaven,” not things in hell. Secondly in the 23rd verse it says, “If ye continue in the faith, grounded and settled, AND BE NOT MOVED AWAY FROM THE HOPE OF THE GOSPEL.”
The word of God declares in Matthew 24:24 states that deception in the earth would be so great that, “…If it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” I pray that those who read these words will never be deceived.
Is Adam Lucifer?
Isaiah 14:
14:12 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
14:13 “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14:14 “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
14:15 “Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.”
These words could not be applied to Adam. In the first place Adam never said in his heart, “I will exalt my throne above the stars of God…..” What Adam said is in Genesis 3:10:
Genesis 3:10 “And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.”
This is not the same person who spoke the words of Isaiah 14:16. These two verses do not and could not refer to the same person. The character of the person in Isaiah 14 is one in defiance of God. The character in the person in Genesis 3:10 is that of a person beaten and afraid.
The Scripture speaks of this being as a Conqueror (Isaiah 14) as being in hell in the abyss. ADAM IS NOT IN HELL. God made Adam with His own hand. If THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST did not save Adam, then we could not be saved. The SECOND ADAM CAME TO SAVE THE FIRST.
THE WORD LUCIFER IS A MISTRANSLATION. The word in the Hebrew is HEYLEL who like MICHAEL and GABRIEL were angels of a special order of Light. Ezekiel 28 describes them as “Stones of Fire,” (Bright Ones). Their names ending in “El” is the root of “ELOHIM” – God Almighty.
It is not usual that in translating one language to another that we translate the names, but in this case the name was changed or translated in Latin from Heylel in the Hebrew text to Lucifer.
The reason for this was not without Satanic design. In the Greek and Roman world, the heavenly host was worshipped, just as in Babylon, from whence came the Zodiac. The Planet Venus when it appears before sunrise in the eastern sky was called the “Light Bringer”, and was worshipped as LUCIFER, which means “shining one.”
In the Hebrew Heylel can also be interpreted as shining one. By changing Heylel to Lucifer the translators are making a subtle suggestion that Satan is the “Bright and Morning Star” of Revelation 22:16.
Some of this erroneous teaching even state that Jesus had come to earth before as Adam and failed and then came back as Jesus Christ – This sounds like something that Satan would love to teach.
However, let us not despise those who believe these things, but make sure that they do not prevent us being among God’s chosen.
The Revelation Of The Man of Sin:
Jesus Said in Matthew 24:15 that: “When ye shall see the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place…….” And Paul further confirms it by saying in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 that Christ will not come until the “Man of Sin” or “Lawless One” be revealed. Since then, Christians have been looking at every shady character and saying “This is the man of sin”.
The Jews also have been looking for an Anti-Messiah so much so that they thought great persecutors of the Jew like Antiochos Epiphanes, one of the four generals who succeeded Alexander the Great after his death, was the Anti-Messiah…The Apostle Paul explained it beautifully in 2 Thessalonians 2:7 when he said that the mystery of iniquity doth already work.
John the apostle also wrote of the spirit of anti-christ in the church.
I John 4:3 “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”
Surely, Jesus gave us this as a sign as to when we should leave the “holy place” and get up into the “mountain”. The real problem is that we have been having the manifestation of anti-christ for nearly two thousand years, and that this manifestation is getting greater and greater and more and more in the church. We see it in the world but even as Paul said in Thessalonians that the manifestation would sit in the church and show himself as God.
The first anti-Christ that came into the world was Nimrod, way back there after the flood, and in our time we are not short of those who are claiming the position of Jesus Christ. This therefore is where the danger lies, when Christians begin to feel that they have not seen the anti-Christ therefore Christ could not be very near. The truth is that we might well be living with Anti-Christ right here and because we are not close enough to the Lord to hear from him, we are not seeing things as we should.
Anti-Christ is a spirit, a Kingdom, and a Man. We have seen the spirit in our day even in greater and increased activity than it has ever been before. We have also seen the Kingdom of the Anti-Christ in the vast confusion of our present modern world kingdoms, including the different religious organizations, like the ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream made of iron and clay and not really coming together.
IT COULD BE that one of these world leaders which we know is indeed the Beast; and it could be that one of these Religious Leaders is the Anti-Christ. It also COULD BE that the revelation is already given to some of the sharper brethren in the Spirit.
NEVERTHELESS, let us not continue with the Witch-hunt. I can still remember how many had revelation that Hitler was the beast, and some said it was Mussolini and some said it was Stalin and other victims which did indeed partially qualify for the position.
Let us get prepared for we know not what day or hour, but praise God we know that now is the season of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
