Scripture reading: Revelation 17:3-5

The beast in Revelation 17 was “full of names of blasphemy.” How could a church be full of blasphemy? A church is a place where people go to worship, not to blaspheme. However, let us look into some of the names of blasphemy, some of the names that the churches of today carry. I will show you why you should not point any fingers at any specific church, because whatever one church is, all the other churches are the same thing, to a lesser or a greater degree.

“Blasphemy” is described by Webster’s Dictionary as “to speak impiously, or irreverently of God or sacred things in general, to speak evil of, to utter impious words, to talk profanely, also to utter abusive words.” The Oxford Dictionary comes even closer to home when it tells us that the meaning is “to make use of religious names.” For instance, if I should say that I am God, or that I am Christ, I am sure you would agree that that is blasphemous. Yet, if I use other words to say that I am God, or I am Christ, then you probably would not recognize it as blasphemous. If I should take the position of God in the church or in the things of God, and usurp God, then that would be blasphemous and antichrist-like.

My position in the body of Christ is not to decry or to debase the people of God or the ministry, but it is to correct, and this I am doing even as God corrects me. So I am bringing to you what the Lord has shown me. There was a time when I put the word “Reverend” before my name. I rightly did so, according to the church. Then I discovered through the revelation of God that it was an affront to God. I am hoping that many will read and understand and change.

Psalm 111:9, “He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is HIS name.” To put “REVEREND” before our name is blasphemous to God, because we are using the name of God. We are giving ourselves a title as the name of God. The reverence that is due to God is belittled by our using this as a title before our names. This is one of the titles that has come out of the Roman church and has been adopted by the other churches, which I call the daughters of Rome.

Let us go into this, for someone might think that using the title of Reverend was done through an error or through ignorance. What I am trying to say is that this was done by people who knew the Hebrew and the Greek. The Hebrew word that is translated in Psalm 111:9 as “reverend” is the word Yare. Yare is a part of the noun Yahweh and Yahweh (YHWH) is the name of God. To put this before the name duCille would be to call me Yahweh duCille, God duCille, a name reserved for God. Yahweh means awesome, fearful. I would be Awesome duCille, Fearful duCille. If I use this title and I do not know better, then God would probably forgive me. When I know better, I am going to stop using it. If I know Hebrew and Greek and understand what this really means and take it upon myself to call myself Jehovah God, then it is a very peculiar state of mind to consider that a son of God, a minister, a servant of the Lord, would want to put himself or herself in.

The next name of blasphemy to deal with is the title His Holiness, or Holy Father. Leviticus 19:2, “Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.” 1 Samuel 2:2, “There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.” It is God’s will that His people should be holy. Calling yourself holy has a different connotation. We cannot call a man holy as a name or a title, because “there is none holy as the Lord.”

Ephesians 1:4, “According as HE HATH CHOSEN US IN HIM before the foundation of the world, THAT WE SHOULD BE HOLY and without blame before him IN LOVE.” Ephesians 5:27, “That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” The description of what holy means is to be without spot, without blemish, without wrinkle, as God wants the church to be perfected. Therefore, if we call a man holy, it means that this man has attained full sonship and is like Jesus Christ.

This blasphemy of calling a man Holy Father originated in Rome. Vicarius filei dei means vicar of the son of God, or vice-Christ. The Son of God is Christ. Vicar of means vice-Christ. This vice-Christ then would be very appropriate if you are Christ and if Christ Jesus is not here physically. This is what the name is saying. Holy Father, being applied to the pope of Rome, is specifically given because the Catholics feel that he is in the place of Christ, and he is Christ on earth when Jesus Christ is absent physically.

I am sure no Christian wants to be identified with this type of blasphemy. Therefore, we must stop using this name. People blame those who bring certain knowledge to them as being the perpetrators of the knowledge. I am not a perpetrator. The Latin name is given to all the popes. When the Latin numerals in Vicarius Filei Dei are added together they equal 666. I did not make it, I did not discover it, I am only passing on to you a piece of knowledge.

In Matthew 23:5-8, the Lord speaks of the spirit of the Pharisees. Here is the context. “But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.” These scriptures talk about calling someone “Master.” There are those who believe in discipling and discipleship. If one is a disciple, then the other is the Master. Jesus Christ is speaking against calling men “Rabbi” or “Master.”

Scripture reading: Revelation 16:15

Revelation 16:15 is another one of the warnings that there is going to be a secret coming of Jesus Christ. He will come secretly without fanfare, without noise, quietly, and many men will not know. As a matter of fact, some of the Christians today will not know that Jesus comes because He is coming to a prepared people at a special time.

Remember the parable of the wise and the foolish virgins? The bridegroom came and the foolish did not see him because they were gone to seek oil. May God help us to be part of that bride class so that we will be ready and waiting for the bridegroom, having oil at midnight. The oil represents the Holy Spirit, and the wise had oil in TWO PLACES. One place was in the vessel, and the other place was in the lamp. The vessel replenishes the lamp. The vessel is the SOUL (Acts 9:15), and the lamp is the SPIRIT OF MAN. Proverbs 20:27, “The spirit of man is the candle (lamp) of the LORD…”

The thief-in-the-night coming of Jesus is well established in Scripture that it is going to be a secret coming. There are also many scriptures that say He is coming, “and every eye shall see him,” Revelation 1:7. There is no way that He could come secretly, “and every eye (shall) see him.” These are two separate things. He is coming in the church, to the church, inside of humanity, to fill those who are prepared with His presence. That is why Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” The will of God will be done in my earth, and in your earth, before it is done in the earth outside. Jesus is speaking of this secret coming, when He will be coming in the believers, in those who are ready, in the wise virgins.

“Lest he walk naked, and they see his shame” means on that day many Christians will be ashamed of the doctrines they preach. One of these doctrines is definitely the rapture doctrine – that we are going to fly away. God wants us to overcome the world here. We cannot fly away and at the same time overcome. We must overcome at the darkest part of time. This is what God is training us for – TO OVERCOME EVERYTHING. First of all, we are to overcome the sin that is within us, the devil that is within us, to cast him out completely, to overcome the flesh, to overcome the mind, the emotions, the will, and the desires. We must be an overcomer, then we will begin to overcome the devil himself, until finally we will overcome death.

Scripture reading: Job 1:21

God has been warning us for a long time that we are heading for a fall—a very big fall! I advise you, brethren, set your affections on things above, so that when the fall comes, it will not matter to you. “The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21). That is where we ought to be as Christians.

I just want you to understand that we are very close into the midnight hour. The Jewish day begins at six o’clock in the evening. The day begins with night! So we are indeed in the seventh day, but the night must pass first before the sunlight comes forth. It must get darker, and darker, and darker until it gets light! “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22). We are entering into night and the night is getting darker and darker; and the day will dawn, but you have to endure the night. “He that endureth to the end shall be saved,” saith the Lord (Matthew 10:22)!

At “midnight,” the “beast” must reign (see Revelation 13). I do not know if you expect to reign and rule right now, but I am telling you it is not going to be right now. Right now, you must suffer, and be born—because it is the suffering, it is the travailing that is going to birth us. We are not yet birthed. We are still fetuses. We are not yet birthed, because what we are is not the thing that God had ordained to rule the world. What we are now is too much of a deep mixture with the flesh! We cannot rule the world in this condition for we would do exactly what they are doing in the White House today. We must be changed, and we must allow the working of the Lord upon us to change us!

What is it going to take to change you? It depends upon your case. It depends upon who you are. The worse the case is, the harder the blow. You are not going to go through the same tribulation that I am going to go through. There is, however, a way to escape the tribulation. Did you know that? You can escape it completely—just give up everything to Jesus. It sounds easy, doesn’t it? Just give up everything to Jesus right now and you will escape the tribulation. As the poet says, “He that is down needs fear no fall. He that is low no pride.” If you sleep on the floor, you cannot fall off the bed.

Therefore, you need to understand what God is doing. We are entering the midnight hour and there are certain things that must happen. Firstly, the Church system must be destroyed. I know that you do not like to hear that, and you say, “What kind of preaching is this—that the Church system must be destroyed?” Let us look at it in the Scriptures.

Daniel 12:7, “And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and WHEN HE SHALL HAVE ACCOMPLISHED TO SCATTER THE POWER OF THE HOLY PEOPLE, all these things shall be finished.” Yes! That means that there is to be a scattering of the power of the Church.

Let us take Daniel 8:24, “And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, AND SHALL DESTROY THE MIGHTY AND THE HOLY PEOPLE.” I think that this is enough to answer the question.

Daniel 7:21-22, “I beheld, and the same horn MADE WAR WITH THE SAINTS AND PREVAILED AGAINST THEM; Until the Ancient of days came…”

Now, I want you notice the “until” here in this verse. There will be a coming against; a beating of the church; a destroying of the people of the church, “Until the Ancient of Days came….” In other words, brethren, until you get the fullness of Christ, you are going to be under the pressure of the enemy. There is a people who will rise up, defend the church, and bring deliverance to the church; and that people is what we are talking about, and that is what God is creating now!

Scripture reading: 2 Peter 1:19

We understand that God is telling us that we are the people of the last time, and that a lot of things are going to happen in the last time. Matthew 25 tells us of a separation in the church, and that there was a time for the separation. I do believe, personally, that this is what God is warning us about, and each person needs to make sure that you are on the right course.

Matthew 25:6-7 says, “At midnight there was a cry made, Behold the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.”

In my vocabulary, the word “virgin” in the Bible means “clean, spotless, God-anointed Christians.” We have passed the state of dealing with the Christians who are half in and half out. We are now at the stage where we are dealing with those who were born again, who are sanctified, baptized in the Holy Ghost, and walking with God in purity! These virgins were dressed. They had on the wedding garment of Christ’s righteousness. That means that they were well prepared and ready and waiting for the Lord. More than that, they had “oil” in their “lamps.” That means they had the Holy Spirit in their spirits. They were well equipped. They were ready! However, guess what? Trouble comes. Distress comes. The time that the Bible calls “midnight” comes.

The word “midnight” in Scripture has a specific meaning. It means problems of the worst kind. In Exodus 11, it was at “midnight” that the firstborn of the Egyptians were slain, and those who were under the blood were sheltered. If God did not shelter them under the blood, they would be dead. In Ruth 3, it says that at “midnight” Boaz woke up, and found that a woman (Ruth) was lying at his feet; the Bible said that he was afraid, and he took off his coat and covered her. This woman is a picture of the Church, and at midnight we are going to need a covering from Jesus Christ, our Boaz! So then the Bible tells us what the meaning of midnight is. Look for midnight through the whole Bible and you will see that at midnight there is destruction, but also there is salvation. Always!

In the whole Jewish calendar, the Jewish year from Passover at the beginning of the year right back to Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) represents the action of God for the whole 2,000 years from Jesus Christ to the end of the age. If you take everything that happens in the Jewish calendar right down to the last with the High Priest entering into the Holiest of All, you will find that it is depicting everything that is going to happen to us, the Church, from the coming of Jesus until His return at the end of the age.

Midnight comes just before morning, so we find therefore that that this “great tribulation,” this great darkness that is coming down on the earth, must finalize itself before Jesus Christ returns, because Jesus is our Morning! He is our Daylight. He is the Light of our lives and He is the Sun of our righteousness. It says in 2 Peter 1:19, “…until the day dawn and the day star arise in your hearts.” The Daystar will arise after midnight, and we are first going to go through this great suffering of “midnight,” which is the “great tribulation” (see Matthew 24:21) that we have already entered.

It has already begun, but you do not feel it because you were born in it. To you the things that are going on now have become so natural, but the happenings of today are very unnatural! Nobody could have thought that the things that are happening around us would happen. It is very unnatural, but we are being “desensitized.” The Devil so fixes it that he creeps upon us gradually so that we do not really feel the tribulation. However, though we are not feeling it, the tribulation is here.

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, December 1997, pg. 21-22)

Thought for today: Let us be sensitive to the time we live in and prepare ourselves for the midnight hour.

Scripture reading: Romans 8:2

God designed various Laws of Redemption for the deliverance of His people. But laws, when put in the converse, become detrimental to the very people that they were designed to deliver. Thus, we see Satan turning the word of God backwards in order to hurt humanity. Some Satanists even learn to read the Bible backwards; they even walk backwards as part of their training.

For years we were baffled by the vulnerability of Christians to satanic bedevilments even as sinners are. This particularly baffled me, when in our ministry all over the world we found Christians who loved the Lord with all their hearts and who were greatly dedicated to God still having severe satanic oppressions and needing deliverance. As God continued to reveal Himself to us, we gradually began to understand the situation. At the outset, let me say that it does not necessarily mean that a Christian has committed some sin to be bound by the enemy:

1. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior and submits to the Spirit of God, he comes under the law of Romans 6:16, and becomes a servant of God. The Blood of Jesus Christ redeems him, and all the covenants that he had made with Satan are broken. Nevertheless, his redemption is complete only in the Word of God, but in his soul he remains imperfect. That which he has received now in the Word of Almighty God and in his spirit must work its fulfillment in his soul and body. He becomes a covenant child of God. As a covenant people, we are required to keep our part of the covenant. God now lays claim to us as His property, bought and paid for.

2. The covenant that we had with Satan and sin has been broken by the covenant we now make with the Lord. Romans 8:2 say, “For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

The covenants we had with devils were made null and void by our covenant with the Lord. But immediately the devils begin to try to get us to submit again to them, in order to apply Romans 6:16, so as to restrict if not altogether rescind our covenant with the Lord. Because of our imperfection, we find ourselves in constant danger of obeying devils instead of the Lord.

Let me tell you a story. There was a day when I told the Lord that I could not find anything wrong with me. In order to prove my unrighteousness, He told me to watch my members that day. When I got to the office there was a piece of chip on the ledge. A suggestion came to my mind to kick the chip off the ledge. Immediately the pride of being a good soccer player with a powerful right foot came into me, and I succumbed to the temptation and kicked the chip like I was placing a ball into the goal. The chip sailed around the corner and slammed into a man’s left eye. In one moment of light banter, I had become the servant of the devil. This was a small act of obedience to the enemy that gave him the right over me. Of course, I repented immediately, and denied Satan any further manipulation. But let me give you a more serious scenario:

Suppose there was someone I know who was worshipping the devil and I reproved him of his devil worship and told him I would have nothing to do with it, but because he is a near kin of mine, I would from time to time give him money to help him along. This money he would use to strengthen himself in his worship of the devil. Would I be guilty of aiding the work of the devil? The answer is yes! The devil is not concerned with what you thought you were doing. He claims his right over you because you participated with one of his servants.

God is in a process of completing our redemption. Yet, this cannot be done without a massive worldwide tribulation. The church will not voluntarily come to that standard of righteousness that God requires. At this time, when we pray for revival, it is actually a prayer for judgment. In Isaiah 26:9 is stated as divine wisdom that people in tribulation learn righteousness. Most men will call on God when they are in trouble, thus trouble is a necessity for some men’s righteousness.

To the watchmen I say, “It is time to sound the alarm.” To the sleeping, I say, “It is time to awake.” To those who are awake, I say, “It is time to trim your lamps.” To the foolish virgins, “It is time to get oil. The bridegroom is on his way.”

(Excerpt from The Omega Message, January 1993, pg. 10-11, 23, 25)

Thought for today: Let us hold fast to the words of Jesus, “When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
