Doctor said, “Your God Healed Her!”

“…for the life of all flesh is the blood…” (Leviticus 17:14)

Revelation 12:11 tells us, “And they overcame him (the accuser of the brethren) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” If we are to overcome the devil by “the blood of the Lamb,” we have to know what it is. Let us, therefore, look at it together.

Leviticus 17:14 says that the blood is the life of the flesh. Therefore, my blood is my life. I received my blood from my mother and my father. It must have been my mother and father’s life they gave to me that became my life. If my blood is my life, then what is Jesus’ Blood? The answer is simple: Jesus’ Blood is Jesus’ life. Where did He get it? It is the Blood of the Father, the Almighty God, the omnipotent Jehovah God. Hallelujah! It means that the energy and the life source of all things has come to me and has come to you and thus we have LIFE THROUGH HIM. Let me show you on a real example how the Blood of the Lamb works.

My wife was allowed to actually die twice. The first time, we were in San Francisco. We had just come there from Los Angeles, where we had a very powerful, very large group in the San Fernando Valley. All of a sudden, Mavis began to have pains. As they continued, we prayed and prayed but no deliverance came. I knew I had to take her home. I jumped in the car and drove so fast that I don’t even remember any speed limits. I was so tired! I was dying to sleep!

Finally, we got to Miami and took the plane to Jamaica. After we reached Jamaica, she was in pain for the two following months and it would not cease. I didn’t know what to do. One day the Lord said to me, “Take her to the Doctor.” You have to understand, we had never been to a hospital before, so it was a bitter pill for me to take. Healing, healing, healing all through my life and now my wife was sick and God said I should take her to the Doctor!

When we got to the hospital, we learned that she was actually dying. Cancer had taken ahold of her entire body, every part of it. The Doctors knew there was no hope. One of them took me into his office and was telling me the news. He explained to me that there were four stages of cancer and showed me pictures of every one of them. Stage number one was curable. Stage number two was more difficult, but they were still able to cure it. Stage number three was just a matter of time, however sometimes people would recover. And then, stage number four: absolutely no chance to live! Mavis had stage number four.

It was Friday evening. I held her hand and said, “God, touch her with Your Blood.” Monday morning as I was coming to the hospital, the doctor rushed towards me saying, “Come quickly, come!” When I went into his office, he began to tell me the story of the cancer, how bad it was, and so on, and so on. Then he continued, “Today we have checked her and there is no trace of cancer in her!” Praise God! God healed her in one moment! All the doctors were shocked, for right before their eyes they had their x-rays and everything came to naught.

I believe God did something for that man and for his whole hospital. Everybody knew this woman was dying. The story of God healing her went through the whole hospital. As long as that doctor lives, he will never be able to get over it. He came out trembling like a leaf. This man was one of the greatest oncologists in Jamaica, yet he came out trembling like a leaf saying that he could not understand it. I told him that it was because we had been praying and it was the work of God. He agreed.

I went to God and asked Him why she had to go through all of this. And God answered me. He reminded me of the story in the Bible about the man who was born blind. The brethren came to Jesus and asked Him, “Why was this man born blind? What caused him to be blind? Was it because his parents sinned?” But Jesus answered them, “Nothing of the kind. This man was born blind in order that the kingdom of God might be established, that the glory of God might be made manifest.” All I could see was that my wife suffered. But, she was made to suffer in order to bring forth God’s glory.

Let me tell you another story. This time we went to Nigeria, Africa, and Mavis was attacked by malaria. She did not have to get it. We really did not think we could get malaria. We had had it from the time we were children and overcame it. Malaria in Jamaica is one of the diseases that once you have had it, you are not supposed to get it again. However, they have a particular strain of malaria in Nigeria that you can get many times over.

The doctors in the United States said they could not do anything for her. They told us it was terminal as nobody recovers from it. They said she couldn’t live ‘till morning and gave her up to die. One doctor, who is a friend of ours, sat down and talked with her for half an hour. He wanted to see if she was still here. She had a fever of 105.7 degrees. A fever like that is supposed to burn your brains to nothing! That night, the doctors were ready to bury her.

However, a brother in the Lord and I got together and prayed. We asked Jesus Christ to touch her blood with His Blood. That was Friday evening. I told the brother she would be better the very next day. The next morning we went back. The Doctor told me they had taken a blood test that morning and that it was not necessary to think about moving her. I asked what had changed his mind. He said, “Well it was your God! It seems that He has answered your prayers. He did it, for we did nothing. There was nothing that we had here that could have made her better.” Do you know what happened? As we prayed, immediately something happened to her blood!

A testimony like this from a doctor is something marvelous: “Your God has answered your prayers.” It was a blessing to hear him say that. There were nine doctors all together attending her (the bill came to $25,000 for just three days). Neither of them could understand it. They all had to admit that this was the work of God. I cannot see it as anything else, but that this was done in order to glorify God. Do you know what the doctors did? They came and thanked us for giving them the opportunity of seeing malaria healed. Hallelujah!

The Blood of Jesus Christ is an overcoming weapon that overcomes the devil and overcomes all things. Brethren, learn to use this weapon while there is still time.
